EASY FIX: Air Conditioner Air Handler Leaking - Condensate Pump Replacement
If you have water puddles around your air handler in your crawl space, you likely need to replace your condensate pump. These pumps are designed to move condensated water from your HVAC air handler to the outside of your home. They are typically only used in crawl spaces because water from units on higher levels of the home can be removed with piping using gravity. The process for swapping out a condensate pump is pretty straight forward making it easy and safe for a home owner to replace. The wires connecting the pump to the air handler are low voltage so they are safe to connect without turning off the power.
