Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a Democrat candidate for the 2024 presidential election, is accusing the Democratic Party of rigging its primary elections. He’s now suggesting that unless the party offers a fair path for other candidates, he will look into other options. This is causing some to believe he may either run as an Independent or with a third party.

Good evening, and welcome to Crossroads.
For many people, this week made history.
After decades of research, decades of being called conspiracy theorists,
finally, we've been shown what is allegedly proof that aliens exist.
Mexican aliens.
No, not the kind flooding across the border.
The other kind, the little green men types.
Just yesterday, Mexican Congress displayed two tiny corpses
they claim are 1,000-year-old mummified aliens.
And today, NASA held a public press briefing
where they announced that discussions on UFOs and UAPs,
that's Unidentified Aerial Phenomena,
will no longer be regarded as conspiracy.
They want to eliminate the stigma if people want to report sightings of UFOs.
It seems that finally the truth is out there.
Mankind is not alone in the universe.
And it seems as well that, well, almost nobody cares.
What this week really showed us is that we have bigger issues to deal with.
The aliens can wait.
Republicans are investigating whether they can impeach President Joe Biden.
Hunter Biden just got hit with three different firearms charges.
Democrats are defending the ability to own illegal firearms.
Instead of watching for, let's say, unidentified phenomena in the sky,
most of us are more concerned about the unidentified phenomena in our elections,
if you know what I mean.
And there's some pretty big developments happening right now as well, aside from that.
I've been saying for a while now that both the Republican Party
and the Democrat Party have undergone some pretty big shifts.
They're no longer the same parties of George Bush and Bill Clinton.
These are the parties of Trump and Biden.
And both sides are trying to hold their parties together
as the will of the people, let's say, seeks to change them from within.
Among the Republicans, there's the MAGA movement.
And in the House of Representatives, you have the Freedom Caucus.
On the Democrat side, they have the Democrat Socialists,
steering the party to the brave new world of open borders,
gender transitions for children,
and as the inventor Nikola Tesla might have put it,
man-made horrors beyond your comprehension.
But a lot of Democrats don't want that.
In fact, many of them still align with the classical liberalism of the old party.
They stand by the old vision for the party that is anti-war,
anti-big business, that is mostly people who just want to live their lives, man.
And for many of them, they also have their great disruptor,
their 2024 candidate who is promising to bring the party back to the good old days.
That's RFK Jr.
Now, the big problems Democrats are facing is that
despite all the differences within their ranks,
they need to hold their party together.
And a third party, for example, could mark the end of the DNC as we know it.
There's a real threat of this right now with the growing No Labels Party,
the party for moderates they're trying to frame themselves in,
as they're going to be announcing their 2024 candidate soon.
And there's speculation, pretty good speculation, in fact,
that their moderate Democrat leader could be Joe Manchin, in fact.
And that alone poses a real threat to the Democrats,
who despite everything, still had a very narrow victory,
let's call it, over Trump last time.
But RFK Jr. represents something much bigger.
He represents a much more real threat to the future of the DNC,
or more accurately, the party as we know it.
It's possible that history was made a couple days ago,
and it was easy to miss.
The Wall Street Journal posted an opinion piece from Robert F. Kennedy Jr.,
where he declared in the headline,
the Democratic Party rigs the primaries.
He stated,
It has become clear that the Democratic National Committee
doesn't want a real primary and is willing to disenfranchise
Democratic voters from choosing their nominee.
Now, of course, some would argue that the Democrat Party
rigs the general election as well,
but that's another discussion for another day.
What matters right now is the primaries.
It's where political parties choose their frontrunners.
It's the democracy, the will of the people.
At least, that's what we've been told it is.
But the people are now realizing that's not really the case.
Now, if we go by popular vote, as they would call it,
we could argue the will of the people for the Democrat Party in 2016
was Bernie Sanders.
But the Democrat Party decided just plain old new better,
and they chose Hillary Clinton as the candidate instead.
Of course, it's not just a DNC issue either.
We should be clear.
The Republican Party, if you remember,
they almost didn't let Donald Trump run as their candidate either.
That was until he threatened to run as an independent.
And even recently, in fact, Trump did something similar.
Trump refused to sign the RNC pledge
to acknowledge whoever the RNC would choose as its candidate.
He's running with them or without them,
and they know that they're unlikely to have any shot at victory
if he breaks away.
It looks like RFK Jr. is now doing the same exact thing to the Democrats.
Now, of course, he's not necessarily saying this directly,
but by accusing the Democratic Party of rigging the primaries,
as he has now directly stated, and doing so in a very public way,
you know, with the Wall Street Journal opinion piece,
he's firing a warning shot, essentially.
He's suggesting that even if he does not run as a third party,
you know, under a third party,
he will make Democrat voters aware that their vote
may not mean what they've been told it means.
And for his own voter base,
he's suggesting that he needs to demonstrate that he means business.
He's not making a run for president that he could never possibly win.
The party needs to acknowledge his candidacy
or risk losing enough chunk of their votes
to potentially break its already very narrow chance of victory.
And alongside his opinion piece,
RFK Jr. also spoke about this issue with Forbes.
Watch this.
If the DNC is going to make it,
is going to rig it so that it is simply impossible for anybody
to challenge President Biden,
then, you know, I need to look at other alternatives
because I can't go back to the people who support me
and to my donors and say, you know, I'm in, you know,
I'm just going to, I'm in this to make a point.
I need to, I need to show them a road to victory.
Are you hearing that?
Now, he's technically not directly saying he might run as an independent
or with a third party, but take it as you will.
He's again, accusing the Democrat party of, in his own words,
rigging the process.
He's saying that if the party is going to make it simply impossible
for anybody to challenge President Biden,
then he needs to look at other alternatives.
And what might those alternatives be?
Well, some kind of alternative for his run for president in 2024.
That's what he's talking about.
He says this is necessary to show his supporters
that there is a road to victory.
Now, in that interview, the person interviewing him
presses him further on it.
And this is how he responds.
What kind of alternatives would you be exploring, Mr. Kennedy?
You know, I don't know exactly, because I want to see what the DNC does.
I want to see if they make it, if they, you know,
if they make it a fair contest.
And I, you know, I'm not asking that it be 100% fair,
but I'm asking that there at least be, you know,
a chance that it be plausible for somebody else to win
other than their, you know, chosen anointed candidate.
Now, again, take that as you will.
My understanding of his statement is that RFK Jr. is saying
he's considering other options.
He's now openly accusing the Democrat Party of rigging the primaries.
He wants them to change this enough to give him a shot.
He's saying, you know, don't even have to change it totally.
Just change it enough where you'd be able to win, possibly.
And if they don't make changes in a way that is transparent enough
to demonstrate that they've made things fair,
well, it seems other options are on the table, let's say.
