
Lt. Gov. Patrick Criticizes Texas House on Impeachment Process After Paxton’s Acquittal
Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, who presided over the impeachment trial of Attorney General Ken Paxton, broke silence Saturday on the matter after the Senate voted for acquittal, criticizing the House for what he called a rushed process that flaunted previous precedent and wasted taxpayer dollars. “If only the House members who voted for impeachment would have followed that instruction in the House, we may not have been here,” Mr. Patrick said.
