A few stars walked the red carpet at TIFF last night, including musician Lil Nas X.
I just told somebody else this, but I hope they just take away whatever they want to.
Maybe they get some realness from it, because I'm always joking and trolling 24-7.
So yeah, I hope they get a real side of me.
Hope they love it.
But overall, I hope they just think whatever they want to about it.
Roy Johnson Hall hosted the world premiere of the documentary Lil Nas X Long Live Montero.
The film follows the musician on tour and chronicles his journey as a black queer artist.
One thing that was super surprising was immediately when we walked into his house on, I can't
remember what day of shooting, but it was very early on, he has this wall in his bedroom
that's completely plastered in printouts of like memes and like internet jokes and pictures.
And in the middle of this wall is a picture of Marsha P. Johnson.
And I think that was really special to see because it just communicated to me that he
really considers himself within the spectrum and the continuum of other black queer artists
and performers.
And he's not just existing in this time in a vacuum.
He's considering himself in the legacy of other queer artists as well.
A bomb threat delayed the screening last night for roughly 20 minutes.
Police say the threat was made to a festival's security by a passerby.
They say it was not directed specifically at Lil Nas X or the documentary.
