Heather on Instagram.
And in one snap, Morris holds a sign that features Naya's character on the singing
series Santana Lopez.
A quote from Santana at the bottom reads,
The only straight I am is straight up broke.
Heather is also joined by other Glee alums, including Kevin McHale, Darren Criss, Jenna
Ushkowitz, Dot Marie Jones, and more.
Though fellow star Diana Agron wasn't on hand for the reunion, she did comment on Heather's
pics, showing love with a series of heart emojis.
On July 28, 2020, Naya disappeared while on a daytime boating trip on Lake Piru near Los
Angeles with her son, Josie.
After the actress failed to return a rented pontoon boat, authorities found the then-4-year-old
on board alone, wearing a life jacket.
A search and rescue team recovered Naya's body from the lake five days later.
After completing an autopsy, the Ventura County Medical Examiner determined the cause
of her death to be accidental drowning.
Two years after her passing, the late star's former Glee co-stars flooded Instagram with
heartwarming tributes.
Heather, who played cheerleader Brittany Pierce, the love interest of Naya's character Santana
on the beloved Fox series, posted two sweet throwback photos and said,
Every day, my angel.
I miss you every damn day.
In one pic, Heather and Naya pose for a selfie while making goofy faces.
In another image, Naya rocks a top hat while Heather sports red sunglasses and a brunette wig.
Kevin also shared a pic of Naya smiling from ear to ear on a boat with the caption,
The best there ever was, forever and ever.
In January 2023, Naya's ex-husband Ryan Dorsey penned a touching message to her on what would
have been her 36th birthday.
He said on Instagram at the time,
A little easier with each little bit of time that passes by to look at pictures, but I
still don't have the answers to the questions, to the why's our sweet boy asks from time
to time.
I never will.
Ryan added,
If you're reading this, no matter what you're going through, take a moment of gratitude
that you're still here on this ride.
I know some days are harder than others to get up, but we just gotta keep pushing onward.
