We are going to Bali.
Woohoo.
Do you see?
It's right there.
We fly from Melbourne.
And 6 hours later we have arrived in Bali.
Our first stop is Ubud.
Which is only about 2 hours drive from the airport.
We had our own driver.
So on the way we stopped at a really nice restaurant surrounded by the jungle.
It's called The Alas.
It's like walking into a fairy tale.
So pretty.
And the food here is so tasty.
I love the Soto Ayam here.
Which is a really delicious and spicy chicken soup.
Yummy.
The food and serving were perfect.
But the views are out of this world.
Wow.
I love it.
Stunning all around.
But the highlight has to be the infinity pool here.
Absolutely magical.
Yeah.
Mmm. Baby.
Then we stopped by the rice terraces in Tagaraland.
Had a quick drink.
Relaxed.
And admired the views.
Look at the smile coconut.
We stayed in a resort not too far from the Ubud town.
Surrounded by rice fields.
Away from the crowds.
Perfect place to relax.
And cool down with a swim in the pool.
Each day we came to the town in Ubud.
Very busy here.
Traffic and people everywhere.
Check out the Ubud Palace.
Lots of culture and history here.
Explore the different streets and markets.
And eat at different restaurants every evening.
One of my highlights was Jidong CC Warung.
Warung means restaurant.
Really nice restaurant.
With their own little jungle.
And fish pond at the back.
You know, the coconut here is so big.
I never finish.
How big is it?
And fresh.
The staff were really friendly.
Serving was perfect.
And the food was delicious.
I had such a good experience here.
Highly recommended.
I also like the Babek Tabasari restaurant.
Really nice set up overlooking the rice fields.
So unique and pretty.
Special thanks to our Bali driver.
Who recommended this place.
Thank you, Made.
We are going to Lombokan Island.
Next stop was Nusa Lombokan.
A small island on the east coast of Bali.
We had to catch a ferry from Sanu.
And half an hour later we have arrived at the island.
It's not a big island.
So the roads here are feel small and narrow.
Really suit to scooter.
As it takes only about 20 minutes to get from one side to the other.
We stay at Mahagiri Resort.
At the north end of the island.
It's a large resort with a really nice beach.
Palm trees and pools.
Nice tropical vibe here.
The weather was not perfect when we arrived.
A bit stormy.
But so pretty when the sun comes out.
We relax by the beach and pool here.
The ocean here is really shallow.
So not the best for swimming.
We would often see the local farming seaweed here.
One of the highlights was the Janggut Batu beach.
Which is not far from our resort.
Really pretty with beautiful views.
The views and the sunsets here are stunning.
The ocean here has such a pretty shade of blue.
Also some nice restaurants here.
My favorite was La Bianga.
Cool vibe.
Chill music.
And such a great views.
And sunsets here.
So nice and relax with a few drinks while watching the sunset.
Just like a podcast.
We came back again and again.
Love the vibe.
Love the mango and dragon fruit drink.
Love the spectacular sunsets.
So magical.
I like it.
We stay in a really nice villa with the pool right on our doorstep.
Literally.
Such a nice place to wake up.
Relax and cool down with a swim.
Each day we would start with breakfast while admiring the views on the beach.
Then explore the island on the scooter.
Easy to get around and some really nice views here.
And right next to our island is another even smaller island called Nusa Kanigen.
It's connected by a small narrow yellow bridge.
Scary but very pretty.
So we went across and explored.
Hana Point Spa was a nice place to stop, listen to the music and enjoy the views.
Good place to see the surfers catching the waves.
I love the Blue Lagoon here.
Clear blue waters surrounded by the cliffs.
Breathtaking views.
And right on the edge is Cliff Club.
A really nice resort with a pool and spa overlooking the Blue Lagoon.
The weather was not perfect but the view was amazing.
Pretty from everywhere you look.
So we stopped by the restaurant here.
Listen to the music, relax and admire those incredible views of the lagoon right below.
The staff, food and drinks were great.
I have an iced tea with sambal on rice.
Also pumpkin soup and this one is poke bowl.
Such a great place to chill.
I had such a good time with family.
I would like to come back and stay here one day.
Our last stop is Uluwatu.
So we took a boat back to Bali.
And then arrived to our hotel at the Ayana Resort in Uluwatu.
Hi, welcome to Ayana Resort.
They have three interconnected resorts here.
Rimba, Sugara and Ayana Villas.
We're at Rimba.
So we stayed in Rimba.
What an entrance.
Wow.
Stunning with the floating infinity pool by the reception.
Incredible architecture and stunning views.
Oh my god, the cleaner is so sweet.
And this time they have elephant.
My love is so cute.
Ayana is so big.
And they have their own bus service to get around.
I thought Marriott in Fiji was a big resort.
But this is on a different level.
So we spent a lot of our days exploring the three resorts here.
Absolutely massive.
And stunning everywhere you go.
Palm trees, pools and pretty views everywhere you go.
You can easily get lost here.
Also they have their own private beach.
It's called Kubu Beach.
Great views of Uluwatu cliffs from here.
And the only way to get down to the beach is to take an elevator.
What an experience.
And what a view.
But I prefer to stay and relax by the pool here.
We had a nice pool right next to our hotel.
Three monkeys pool.
Nice place to swim with views of the resort and jungle around.
And it has another pool with water slide right below.
Had so much fun here.
So many pools here.
So we also spent some time at the main pool.
A large pool right in the center.
Nice views of the coast and ocean from here.
And if you follow the marble stairs, there is another pool right below.
I love it.
And then there is a rock pool.
A bit of a walk and you need to take a cable car to get down to it.
So cool.
Such a cool experience.
And wow.
So pretty with the cliffs on one side and the ocean on other side.
So picturesque.
I love this area.
Amazing views all around.
Do you see how rough it is?
No.
Do you see how rough it is?
I thought I'm gonna go to swim down there.
Too rough.
I don't think it's a good idea.
But my favorite pool was the river pool.
A super pretty multi-level pool surrounded by rocks and nature all around.
And it has its own waterfall.
Such a great place to swim and relax.
Everyone that comes here takes photos for their Instagram here.
Me included.
So stunning.
This could be the prettiest pool ever.
One evening we had dinner at the Dawa restaurant right next to the river pool.
Great serving.
I will have starter oyster which is very nice.
Very buttery.
Nice location and so romantic.
Then we went to the famous rock bar.
I especially like the passage through the caves in the cliffs.
And DJ party music and lights on the other side.
Lots of people and very cool party vibes here.
Good place to enjoy some drinks and have a dance to finish the night.
Each day we would start with a buffet breakfast at a different restaurant.
Such great variety and quality of food here.
And all the venues here are stunning.
This could be the best buffet breakfast ever.
Another highlight was the unique bar.
It's a really pretty Mexican restaurant with a rooftop bar.
Pool and a great beach, right?
I love this Mexican restaurant.
You can swim here at the same time and you order drinks.
Also look at the view.
The food here was delicious.
And the views are amazing.
But my favorite place to enjoy evenings was at the Luna bar.
This is one of my highlights.
It's a rooftop bar with another stunning pool in Sagara resort.
Perfect place to have some snacks and a few drinks.
And admire the stunning sunsets.
I love it here.
I had such a good time in Bali.
Love the Balinese food and people.
I will miss them all.
There are so many things to do and see here.
So pretty in places.
And so many nice memories.
Love the island.
Love the nature.
And the Ayana resort is incredible.
I don't think I have ever experienced anything like this before.
So many pools.
And restaurants to explore.
I really enjoyed my time in Bali.
And I will come back again.
Bye for now.
