Good morning, good morning guys. The kids and I are getting ready to head out of the house.
I asked them to pack up some clothes or get some clothes ready.
Let's see how well they did.
Levi and... Oh, good job, Tini.
Tini's already putting her clothes in her bag.
I've got them each labeled so that when we get to wherever we are or wherever we're going,
I can easily just look at the bag and be like, okay, this is Avery's clothes, this is Levi's clothes
because what I've done in the past is usually just throwing it all together.
And then by the second or third day, it's all jumbled up in their suitcase
and then it's hard to figure out whose is whose, what's what, and just scrimmaging through it.
So, trying to organize it now.
Looks like the kids have listened to me pretty well.
But wait, wait, guys. We gotta make sure you have enough of everything.
Tini, I love how you're already packing up your stuff.
Daddy, I'm trying to get 20 undies to this one.
Why 20? That's way too many to do.
Because we swim every day.
Yeah, but we can wash some clothes. How about you just do seven?
I love how you packed with all these cute shirts and undies, girl.
Listen, I know it's hotter in California, but we can't just be walking around in shirts and undies.
You need pants and socks.
I don't see any. I don't see any pants in here.
Oh, you're right. You got one pair.
Alright, go get me four more pairs and then a lot of socks and undies.
Actually, I'll help you with the socks. Just get pants.
Looks to me like you're just bringing your whole closet.
Levi, I trust you. You know what you need.
Just make sure you take your hangers off and you put them back in your closet.
Tini, good job.
Tini, I asked for pants and you got more undies.
I said pants, not undies.
Oh.
Oh, he's right.
Let's see how Aaliyah has done, though.
Whoa, whoa, whoa. Okay, wait.
You want to open it?
Whoa, look at the difference between this girl and the rest of my children.
Yo, everything is nice and folded.
All pretty organized.
Oh my gosh, you are good at this, huh?
You're a big girl.
Okay, let's see, though.
This is not enough pants.
Oh, I see a couple different pants.
You got a lot of swimsuits, girl. I love that.
Yep, you know you're going to be swimming.
Looks like you got a good amount of stuff.
I think all you need, Aaliyah, is I see pants.
You need a couple more shirts.
I see you brought a lot of dresses.
Let's get a couple more shirts and pants, right?
Oh my God.
We are definitely not going to have the most good-looking outfits for Tini while we're in California,
but you know what?
That's beautiful. Bring a lot of those.
We need a lot of dresses.
Bring some for Tini, too, if you can.
I think if anybody's got enough stuff, it's Levi.
He's overpacking. He's the overpacker of the family.
We hear you, Tini. We hear you.
We're coming back?
We're making a comeback on the Internet or what?
I don't know what she's trying to say there, but I agree with it.
We're making a comeback, alright?
We're bringing the vlogs back.
Ora!
No, no, no.
Listen, I get you're trying to pack, too, but this is not how we do it.
Yeah, okay, don't grab it like that.
It's already ripping. You have so much stuff in here.
Hold on, hold on, Tini. Hold on, Tini.
Alright, alright, this house is getting a little crazy.
Levi, this is what I need you to do.
Go get another trash bag.
We're going to put this one in there because this is already breaking.
Team, let's roll out.
Two bags, bro?
That's not what I meant.
I meant get one bag and put it over the other one.
Put your bags by the door and, oh, yeah, look.
At least one of my kids is ready to head out.
There you go, Ora.
I don't know if those will fit, but I like your initiative.
I know you want to get out of here, so let's get going, guys.
Alright, you guys.
Today, we're working on some mental health.
We need it.
Thank you so much to BetterHelp for sponsoring today's video.
I hope it doesn't let you down.
Guys, I have heard of BetterHelp.
That was really aggressive for years now.
I actually worked with them years ago and ever since.
I think it is such an awesome resource.
As many of you guys know, I struggle with mental health largely,
and Oscar is new to the club, so everybody welcome him.
Obviously, a very important topic to me, now him, and a vast majority of the world
because, believe it or not, all of us go through our own things
and have a lot of our own struggles.
So, BetterHelp is basically a website that provides professional licensed therapists
that you can get online and talk to and have that easy access help
because if you're anything like me, going to therapy can sometimes be a little bit difficult.
One, it's kind of awkward, and two, just the whole environment of it can be a little bit difficult.
When I was doing therapy, it was so nice to be able to be traveling
and just to be able to do it all with my phone.
Oh, you did it virtually. I forget about that.
So, it works, it helps, and I was so thankful
because I planned so many therapist appointments that I was out of town for.
I was like, let's do it over the phone, and it was perfect.
It makes it very accessible, it makes it very comfortable,
and it can also be a lot more cost effective.

Let's put this in the car.
And guys, if this vlog feels crazy, a little chaotic, and maybe even a splash of intense,
that's because that's how my life has been ever since Kira and I split up.
Now that I'm single, my life is chaotic, and I kind of love it.
So, this is just, it is what it is. This is life now, and it keeps things exciting.
You want to throw this one in?
You want to help out? Can you push it in?
There you go, big girl. There you go.
She loves helping out, and so I like keeping her involved because it makes her happy.
And it makes me happy to see you want to help.
Push, push. You got it, you got it.
Yay, you did it.
Sweet, though. Our vehicle is now packed up, and let's get these kids over here in the car.
Hey, guys. Guys, come on. We're getting ready to leave. Let's get going.
Yeah, we're heading out. I love the energy.
Okay, okay. We're almost ready.
We first, before I can officially say we're headed off on the road,
we first got to get the kids some food and some gas.
I'm not going to lie, though. Sometimes we stop only because I have to go to the bathroom, too.
Anywho, though, you all want to check out my breakfast?
Yeah, you heard that right. It's almost 7 o'clock, and I'm barely having breakfast,
but that is because on drive days, I like to eat less
because I notice if I have like big, heavy meals and stuff,
I get sleepier throughout the end of the day.
And so since I got to drive pretty much all night,
I want to be as focused as possible, and eating very little low-calorie food
keeps me more alert for some reason.
Oh, dude. I need to show you guys what I'm having.
I'm having yogurt with fruit.
Why was that so hard for me to think of? Why couldn't I think of the word fruit?
I'm literally shoveling this down, not only because I'm starving,
but because we got to get going. It's going to be a long night.
All right. $40 for half a tank?
I mean, with current gas prices, that's not bad at all, but I ain't going to complain.
I'm going to enjoy it while I can because in California,
that's only going to fill up a quarter of a tank.
Just remember these prices when we cross that California border.
My wallet's already hurting just thinking about it.
Anywho, it's worth it to see family and have fun. Totally worth it.
Okay, current time. It is 7.29.
Oh, you all can't even see that, huh?
7.29. Map says we are going to get there at around...
What does it even say? 4.03 a.m.?
That's early.
You see how it says that it's going to take 9 hours and 34 minutes to get there?
That isn't entirely correct.
This thing doesn't take into consideration gas stops and bathroom breaks,
so it's probably going to take us around 12-ish hours,
meaning we should get there around 7.30 in the morning.
You think we can do that, team?
Yeah.
Yeah. I've done it before. We've done it together, so we got this.
Yo, look at this view.
Guys, do you see that?
What?
Out the window, look at the pink clouds and the beautiful mountain.
It looks like we're in a movie.
And then we got the sunset over here.
I don't see the pink.
Yeah, you see the pink? Beautiful. Wow.
This has been a gorgeous drive already.
Wait, Levi, what was that?
You need to go potty a little bit? Okay.
Alright, next stop, we'll go potty.
Sis, if we stop, you might as well go.
That way we don't have to stop again at night, right?
No.
Yeah, because if we have to stop at night, that's going to make it harder.
So we all should just go while we can.
Or is the only one that just gets to go when she wants because she has a diaper?
Don't argue with me.
What was that, Tini?
What was that?
Alright, we'll stop at the next stop.
Okay, we've officially been driving for two hours.
The kids have been complaining that they now need to go to the restroom,
which I'm not complaining because I need to go as well.
Who's ready to get out?
Did you guys hear the little me's all the way from back there?
Who has to go potty too?
Levi has to go a little bit. Sis says she doesn't.
Tini, I see that hand raised.
She's the one who's been complaining the most.
I knew you would need to go.
What are you saying?
You're going to pee your pants?
No, no, we've got to hurry up then. Let's go in the potty.
Look at my little monkeys.
Are you so much better now that your diaper's clean?
Oh, you need help with that. I got you.
There you go. Try not to spill, okay?
There you go.
Now, usually I also get them snacks from the gas station when we stop,
but we had a lot of food at the house,
and plus Kira had already started making a little snack bag for me,
so I think we're just going to eat.
Actually, I know we're just going to eat the stuff I packed.
You're hungry?
Perfect, bro, because look, we've got a lot of food.
Check it out. We've got bananas,
we've got cheese sticks,
gummies, and applesauce.
I'm stealing this.
For myself, I brought cucumbers.
Extremely low calorie.
And apples.
Like I said, I don't want anything too heavy or else I get sleepy.
Guys, please don't make a mess. I'm going to give everybody one of these.
I'm going to go ahead and get some more gas too while I'm here.
Perfect. This is actually the perfect time to stop
because not only did all of us have to go to the restroom,
but it's almost, well, it's a little past the kids' bedtimes,
which means they should be starting to wind down, getting pretty sleepy.
And once they finally do fall asleep,
we can just start powering through these miles
and hopefully only have to stop to fill up.
That's the goal.
Back on the road.
And as you guys already know, this isn't my first rodeo.
After making this trip a whole bunch of different times,
I have learned that I need to stop drinking water
once it's almost the kids' bedtime
because I don't want to be stopping to pee for myself.
And what I've got to start doing is
sipping on one of these to stay alive all night long.
Not pound them because then I'll just get a whole bunch of energy
and then crash within like two or three hours.
What I've got to do is sip on them.
That way I have consistent energy
and I don't have to go to the restroom because if I pound one of these
and only do I crash, I've got to go to the restroom.
You don't want that.
Ooh, ooh.
Just the sound and the smell
is already giving me some energy,
bringing me back to life.
Kids, time to start winding down.
All right?
If you want to stay up, you can.
You just have to be chill and quiet, but I recommend you sleep.
That way you have energy when we get to California, okay?
Okay, love you guys.
Good night.
Baby, Avery's asleep.
I know.
It's only been like 20 minutes
and Levi has to go poop.
You want to go play at that park?
No, bro, we're trying to make it to California
and you have to go poop?
Got to hurry.
Wait, wait for me.
These are the stops that are pretty frustrating
because not only are we stopping just for one kid to go to the restroom,
it puts a huge delay on everything
and we were just at the restroom.
Not to mention, because I'm all alone,
I've got to get everybody out.
It's not just a quick park and take them.
It's a journey, an adventure.
At least 30 minutes for this to happen.
Tini, wake up.
We've got to go to the restroom again.
Come on, Tini.
Plus, one kid was already out,
so that's kind of a bummer
because she might not go back to sleep as easily the second time
and she might be a little grumpy,
so these stops really suck, but they're expected.
I know you don't need to go, Mama,
but Levi has to go.
I park.
Yeah, no, no.
We're not going to go play.
We're going to go potty,
and then we're going to go to California.
Okay, Levi, I hope you feel better.
Anybody else have to go to the restroom before we leave?
I'm just double-checking.
No? You're good?
Okay, let's go.
It's bedtime for realsies now, all right?
Okay.
Okay, okay.
Okay, it's 1240 at night.
I've been driving for, I think, three-ish hours now.
I stopped by the side of the highway because I need to pee,
and I don't want to go into a restroom
because if I do, I would have to take all the kids out.
So I'm quickly just going to go by the side of the road.
Much, much, much better.
And just so everybody knows,
I didn't pull off exactly by the highway.
As you can see, the highway is, like, over there.
I pulled off at a truck stop.
It's a win-win scenario.
The kids get to stay asleep.
I get to go to the restroom.
We save time.
We save energy.
And we save...
Actually, I think that's all we save.
Anyhow, let's continue.
It's 2.45 in the a.m.
Actually, in Utah time, it's 3.45.
All that means is that we're almost there.
And I told you guys, once the kids are asleep,
we power through these miles.
Anywho, we're filling up for the last time.
Woo!
I'm excited.
We're so close.
The journey's almost over.
Are you guys seeing these gas prices, though?
$2 jump since we got to California.
Ridiculous, but I knew it was going to happen.
Poor wallet.
It's hurting.
Quick $100 down the drain.
Luckily, the minivan is pretty good with gas mileage
considering it's a, like, 8-seater car,
so it could be worse.
It follows well, though.
This should be the last stop of the trip,
so I will catch you guys back at my mom's
around 5.30 to 6-ish, hopefully.
It's 5.18 a.m., and we made it.
What's up?
Do you see Greg?
Yeah.
What's up, dude?
All righty, though, guys.
Now that we made it, I'm going to go ahead
and wrap up this vlog.
I'm glad I made it.
I'm glad we did it.
Kids suffered less.
I suffered less by doing it overnight,
and so it was worth it.
We're here.
We're going to have fun.
We're going to have a great trip,
and I'll catch you guys in the next one.
Peace!
Ooh, that's pretty good.
That's pretty good, isn't it?
