SHE ALMOST MADE ME CRY | 24 HOURS IN VERSAILLES | Suzie Bonaldi

Good morning, how are we all doing? It's 5.30. So the reason I am up at 5.30 in the morning is because I'm going to Versailles today with Clé de Peau and that sounds like I'm making up and to say I'm looking forward to it doesn't quite do it justice. Oh my god how am I gonna get ready I know when you just aren't awake and you are like what am I doing with my life let's let's do some skincare before I just don't get anywhere today. I'm not really productive at this time of day, my brain doesn't really kick in. Give me a 7am and my brain knows what to do but not right now. So Clé de Peau are having a big dinner tonight and like an educational day today which I am really looking forward to because I quite enjoy learning like the science behind skincare brands and just why things are done the way they're done. So I'm excited to nerd out today. So Josie is with me in the same hotel and she's coming with me Amelia is coming with us. I think Victoria is meeting us out there so it should be a lovely 24 hours in Versailles and I'm just going to bring you along with me. I used this on my face last night and thank god for this product because honestly it gives me like the closest I will ever get at the age of 31 to baby skin like it's incredible. I have a spot on my cheek which is basically like I don't know if it's that or it's the skin of me but I obviously use the skin of me every night but the combo is basically gone overnight. It's gone to a dried up little bump. I love it. I'm obsessed. Okay I need to move faster. I'm not doing a very good job at that so I'm gonna put you on a time lapse. I still have half an hour. This is going well. Fastest I have done makeup in quite a while. Let's go. Outfit of the day is one that you will have seen recently in a recent spring capsule styling video. I love this outfit. Turns out a lot of you didn't but each to their own. I've got a Zara grey blazer on, Topshop just regular t-shirt and then Holland Cooper jeans. They're like a slim fit and then I've got my cowboy boots on. Then I'm wearing my Prada bag and yeah just a really nice easy kind of smart casual little thing. I feel like I'm in a spaceship. It's a bit early isn't it? Yes it's never too early for a pistachio frappé. A pistachio frappé, wow. Josie's making me try Yearn Cafe coffee this morning so I'm gonna. It's all about the bean babe. It's all about the bean. Behind the scenes. Good morning. I haven't even bothered getting my laptop out because I'm sitting next to this one and I'm not gonna get anything done anyway. Oh are you? Are you? We just had a very embarrassing moment trying to get our cases on the train. Do you have footage of it? Did you? Did you record it? Yeah. Can I get it as a clip? Yeah yeah yeah. We'll insert. It was so embarrassing. This is not my prescription but oh these are nice. Trying Anemia's glasses. They're very snaz. This is gonna really hurt my eyeballs but well I don't think they're like arguing. We have arrived in Versailles. The girlies are here. We are gonna go and get a little bit of food. I'm very excited because I have not eaten yet today. Uh the Eurostar food was not not the one for me but very very much looking forward to this lunch. We've got Victoria. I don't know how this keeps happening on press trips. This is so nice so I am very very grateful to the Clé de Peau team for having me on this trip. I'm so excited to just have some girly time and get ready for our dinner this evening. I'm really looking forward to showing you guys my dress as well. It's really really pretty. I also, I don't know if you will have seen, I did my nails as well to kind of go with the dress and my accessories and they're so cute. So I've done little pearls just at the base of the nail and this is Manicurist Hortensia which is a really nice milky pink. I actually did an extra coat on this hand. This hand is slightly more pinky and this one's slightly more nudey but it's just the most beautiful milky pink and my thumbs have like three little pearls on them which I love. Yeah I'm gonna get my makeup off now because I have SPF on underneath my makeup and I'm gonna be doing flash photos this evening so I want to start fresh. I don't want any flashback face so we are gonna get on ready to get ready yet again. My little friend! It is so nice isn't it? The lighting in here is sensational. I just had a moment because when I, if we do our makeup together on camera, when I first started YouTube I would always watch your get ready with me videos and they were like my number one inspo videos. I was always like look at the lighting, her makeup, her face. She's so precious, you have to protect this one at all costs. Charlie said something, I think it was at Christmas and I was like huh? He was like I've been hearing your voice which isn't the most you know wonderful of accents. I've been hearing your voice for years, yeah literally like a decade and I was like I'm so sorry Charlie. I was like I think Josie's been watching my videos for a long time and Rhyme was like what makes you say that? Yeah oh my god I used to be like your first commenter and everything. Appreciate you and now it's me I'm there like Josie it's fine I'll do your hair don't worry oh she's if you brought the I thought that was laptop for a second I was like she's ready to work she's ready she is ready she's a professional and I bought the light that you recommended as well oh did you yeah are you getting on I mean it's quite a lot isn't it it's quite intense but it makes for a great it does lighting setup I still prefer a good old window nothing beats a window but it's the next best thing no and you can go out there as well yeah there we go I feel like Belle from Beauty and my skin is angry at the moment because I got up so early whenever I get up early my skin goes very red it's so wrinkle free it's Botox Botox in my forehead I don't have it anywhere else Botox and healthy lifestyle being vegan and drinking water and inspect a disciple and skin and me those are my and play the poem list your own the mat is the it's the chrome the chrome the magic chrome yeah so I am just going to do my base I'm going for a really nice really soft glam this evening with hair up fully up off my face which I never do very sorry you going I don't know because I'm really crap at doing my hair but I feel like I might because the dress is quite a lot so maybe not a lot for the hair very true I really love the dress that you're wearing though it's so pretty I might just brush it yeah yeah I've got a little hair bubble which has got pearls on it I love that do you um like this merit one oh my god I love that it's such a nice like everyday face product for me because I obviously like quite a heavy face on a daily basis um so it's it's perfect it's so like creamy yeah beautiful I'm going in with the NARS radiant creamy concealer but in the shade honey which is like a pinky time because it's good for the under eye circles because it cancels it out yeah really knocks out all of the I get quite a greeny tone under my eye have you tried the shiseido ultimune eye serum no because that has got this technology in it which actually helps the circulation under the skin and under your eyes so if you get like greeny tones that could be that the blood is kind of like stop that this is what I heard you talking about in your vlog and I was like I need to try that that sounds incredible yeah it's actually sensational sensational sensational I really want Josie to produce merch that says that we've had quite a lot of good one-liners on this trip that would be our matching tattoo oh my god I would absolutely get her drunk in order to do this that's the kind of friendship tattoos that I am here for in life or I'll get a bracelet that says oh no no no oh my god don't because you're something blue on your wedding day oh a blue tone tattoo no I was thinking a bracelet oh my god Charlie would be like what have you done that would be so random it really would but that's like the kind of story that I love when people are like what on earth is that it's just a word that she used I mentioned it in a youtube video and then it became a thing we've got 30 minutes oh my I'm not gonna I'm not gonna be ready what um what is your your setting spray choice I don't use a setting spray currently um I did like the rare beauty one it's a very nice uh setting spray it is but I'm more of a kebabs oh is everything okay yes well done Givenchy that is still in one piece I'm actually in shock you could take someone out with that all right honestly very heavy um I really love powder I'm a powder girl powder gal yeah any of an explosion oh no oh no a little bit of the Givenchy prism libra matte foundation don't use much as you're washing you know the makeup is really good it's really good I really regret just putting that blush on my makeup looks so much nicer before and I put it right in the middle on it go over it with a foundation brush it actually makes it looks really nice if you ever do if you ever over apply your blush go over it with a foundation brush and it's it makes it look so natural bronzer I really just want to get into bed and watch Beauty and the Beast what's your favorite powder favorite powder well it depends on what you're going for if you want like illuminating brightening but also mattifying but kind of glowy the Givenchy prism libra yeah that's what it's called and that one is sensational sensational um but the huda beauty powder I am obsessed with she's copied you on she's packaging do you think it's not a four it's not four piece it's just a all-in-one yeah very very big and chunky um but I also love a powder foundation I'm using this one from Kat at the moment just because it's what I have but I feel like she said something a bit rogue lately and people don't like her anymore so I'm not I'm just using it because I had it yeah so I really like a powder foundation and the bare minerals powder foundation that's gorgeous love that it's really lovely I haven't used it in ages I go through such phases with it what are you using um I genuinely this is my favorite foundation at the moment the clé de peau radiant cream I really want to try that oh I'm going to try it tomorrow because I think I have one in the makeup bag I actually need to go and get that yeah it's amazing it's um it's one where you can look make it look really natural or with like strategically placed concealer you can really build up because we're going out this evening I'm using the westman atelier contour I've been foregoing this a little bit recently but on a night out I love this you don't even really see it on the skin but when you are on camera it makes such a difference have you tried it um did you try back and collaborate with them for her like like a moisturizer oh I don't oh isn't that august augustina yes yes so the only what's the brand you said westman westman my last get ready with me that I did in france with alana she told me about westman atelier and so I'm passing I'm passing it on in the get ready with me she's cute but it's really cool this is divine it's so nice isn't it yeah sunsets brilliant that's a lot of assets sunsets oh not just one sunset you will have seen me use this downstairs it's so pretty beautiful the clé de peau makeup bits I love these little I wonder if these are to purchase these little clé de peau makeup bags are so cute like a lovely navy with clay oh my gosh so much different wow you tried the lipsticks no so this is going to be my first time trying them but I loved the lip balm yeah use this downstairs and it's so good so I could even just do lip liner and then some lip balm this evening because I want everything really like stripped back you also tapped on some blush I think it was in shade four it's this really gorgeous light pinky color stunning and they tapped it on just over like my cheeks and it was the prettiest thing I've ever seen I'm gonna need an up-close mirror because I can't see what I'm doing but oh she's always there when I need her oh yeah this is so nice yeah that is so nice thank you you're welcome thank you so much not a problem um you got any brow things handy yeah or like a pencil well I just want to like brush them up and put them to stay there okay fine oh yeah I love this one thank you Josie's been trying wear it bt she's been loving it good the mascara is like the most lengthening mascara I've ever tried thank you so thank you very much it doesn't come off for me with my face halo so but you use cleanser with your face yeah don't you and honestly I recommend it's so quick yeah just annihilates it I forgot how good this was I love it this I don't know I don't know how much this is actually but it's like the same as the tom ford fiber brow gel I don't think I've used the tom ford wait have I oh god I don't know oh that is a nice lip shade I need to find out what these are because they've just got like long numbers that is very nice that might be the one thank you see what I'm going to do is I'm going to go and put my Oscar de la Renta dress on and I'm going to run downstairs and see if the photographer's there oh good idea and then I'm going to run back to get ready I'm going to do that so I'm going to go now I'll see you um in like are you going to tell me to come back or are you going to just finish getting ready and then come down what's the plan phil message me okay if there is a photographer there etc yeah I think uh I might be a while just because I've got to steam the dress oh man why don't you um leave a half an hour I just don't know how quickly my steamer is very quick is that steamer no I actually this one's way quicker it's uh it's called home easy oh is that the amazon one I think so okay right I'll go and sort myself out thank you for being entertaining as always oh thank no thank you okay that's a little bit darker than I think I wanted it but we can rectify this I'm going to go with a little bit of my nars all yours liquid lip just in the center and then I want to apply like a gloss or a lip balm over the top just to make it look really I say natural but like really comfortable a little bit natural that's the kind of look that I want to go for today cute and then we're going to do brows and mascara powder and then I think we are nearly done just love Josie so much I have found her to be a very calming presence in my life I always find that she gives like the best advice if I'm in like a little funk and I'm very grateful that I get to do so much with some of my friends that I have now have such a long history with and have done so many quite frankly bizarre things like the the amount of like wonderful things we get to do and the situations we've been in is just it's amazing and the fact that I get to experience like lots of this with people that I love so much is something that I will always be very very very grateful for because fancy experiences are really nice but getting to experience them with people that you really love spending time with that hits different can I just do a little bit of lash line definition just because I don't want my eyes to be completely lost I don't want it to look too much but I don't want eyes to get lost in photos and because my eyes are brown I just think a pop of brown along the lash line goes a long way like opening up the eye making them pop and if I wasn't doing such a natural makeup look and I wanted to take this further a little bit of purple mixed in with the brown sensational okay love that love that now that I'm alone I'm getting comfy my knee is up this is me in peak like peak comfortable getting ready mode this is such a nice fresh makeup look I love it so I'm going to put on a bit of this lip balm this is a fresh one I used some of this earlier today and it was so beautiful it's got like a very slight light pinkiness to it which I don't know if that will come off on camera but it's just beautiful I'm going to use a little bit of this highlighter on my eyelids I don't want anything that looks too much just something really nice and subtle and sheeny just giving like a really nice contoured lifted look I'm going to take some of that down my nose that glow I'm obsessed with that blush this clé de peau shade number four cream blush it's my new favourite blush it's so subtle and dewy and fresh I never really thought of myself as someone that had oily skin but recently I've just come to notice that if I use a matte foundation and then put cream products over the top it just doesn't end up being like a crazy shiny mess it's like the perfect amount of dewy glossiness so I think that is the way forward for me in terms of like shine control throughout the day now we need to do hair which is going to be fairly quick and painless we're just going for a slick back bun nice and easy something like that who also looks incredible look at you you look like a princess I love it needland thread is such a throwback I love their dresses yeah but gorgeous and I'm glad you got somewhere to wear it yeah perfect you look so good oh my this is oh wow this is insane it's giving princess vibes I'm getting ready for bed I am ready to sleep the 5am is it 5am 5 30 wake up this morning is really starting to hit home it's about 10 past one in the morning and yeah I am ready to sleep but I had the most wonderful evening I can't believe that that was actually like the actual the Versailles Palace that is crazy to me I was like so this is like not to sound stupid but I just want to be clear here this is like Marie Antoinette vibes that's literally what I was like is that the only the only reference you have and I was like yes my school was a terrible school bear with me that was just so incredible to have dinner there absolutely unreal I am just floored it's just one of those experiences that I will always be grateful for that I will be that bougie ass nana telling her grandkids who don't care that I once went to a dinner in the Palace of Versailles and my snazzy shoes were hurting me the entire time I wore some new YSL heels that I have and rarely wear or only wear them if I have to if I need the hype because they are the most uncomfortable shoe very comparison a stark comparison to my other YSL heels which are the most comfortable heels in the world oh I can't wait to get my hair out of this bun it is so tight I don't think I made an expression all evening the my forehead just won't move when I put my hair in a bun like this but I was so happy with my makeup I got so many comments on it so I might repeat the same again tomorrow maybe also I need to update you on something that I purchased and this was this literally only happened because I forgot my razor at home I forgot two things I left two things at home one was my iron tablets and the other was a razor and I had to go to Boots at St Pancras and grab those two things because I am iron deficient and also a very hairy girl and with that in mind I wanted to tell you about this that I picked up I have seen these everywhere I've turned down multiple jobs with this brand because I just kind of felt like buying razors online is not something I would normally do but I needed a razor and I was in Boots and I saw they did the hey a street is that how you say it hey a street or the street razor um oh they're vegan cute um I saw they did it in a lilac and you know me if there is the option to buy something in a lilac I am going to buy it it's my nan's favorite color I let it guide me a lot in life if there is the option to have something in lilac I will have it um and if there is something two things I'm deciding between I go with the lilac it's just the sign it's the sign it's my nana guiding me and it comes down to razors as well and I was like do you know what I need a razor it doesn't matter what razor I get but I need a razor and I really like the fact that this one was reusable you can get new heads for it it has a little shower sticky thing and because it's lilac it'll go really well in my bathroom so I was like do you know what rather than get the little travel venus razors which I tend to lose a lot or they don't really last let's try this let's try it out the packaging was also very cute and they did it in booths and you could buy it there and then rather than having to order it online which is something I was just not completely sold on it just didn't feel when it was coming in as a brand job I was like I'm just not 100% sure if I would use this service especially as you know it's a razor however this is a very good razor like I have used many razors in my life I've also taken to using men's razors in my life because they give a better shave this is so good it's so good and I love the fact that it comes with a little sticky thing that's so cute I love the colors they came in there were so many colors so yeah this is cute and I really like the fact that you can get it in boots this is not a spon this is genuinely I forgot my razor and I was like actually I've seen so much about this brand and now you actually don't have to buy it online you can buy it in a booth store that sold me I was like yes I want the cute and scrummy razor I don't want to always have to buy it online some there are some things that I just want to buy in person and a razor apparently is one of them I don't know why I'm like this I I don't know I used it this evening best razor I've ever used so that is just my little thing that I needed to tell you about also the packaging adorable it's like glossier if they did razors Tokyo so yeah that's my really boring find of the evening but I've never used a razor that good and it has to be quite noticeable noticeably good I think as a razor for someone to be like wow yeah this is really good because to be honest I've always thought Venus razors were good like I've always used them I always felt like they were good compared to like the cheap ones so they always felt like peak luxury to me but actually those ones are really good and they're really heavy as well which makes them feel it makes them feel almost less flimsy and like less like and like I'm less likely to drop it even though it's heavier so that doesn't really make sense but it makes me feel like I have a better grip on it I'm really excited about the fact that I can clip it in my shower because I don't have a caddy or anything something one of the many house jobs I need to do and sometimes the razors go a bit gross if you like leave them lower down in the shower so I'm excited to have a little snappy thing that goes on the wall and hopefully it'll keep it nice for longer as well which would be ideal because I think it is a little bit more pricey than a Venus travel razor for example weirdly the Venus travel razors are the best of all Venus razors I don't know if it's the shape of my body I just find it way easier to use the travel ones as opposed to the full size but yeah this one's I think a bit more expensive than a Venus razor I think memory is foggy I can't remember anything past like two hours ago right now to be honest I'm very tired but um yeah that was my little discovery of the day I hope you enjoyed that oh my mascara does not want to come off tonight round three it is also I forgot to say at the beginning of this vlog I know this is not a spring related vlog and I have been mid spring series but they will be coming back once I am home and this was just something that I couldn't really get around in my schedule so we are taking a very brief hiatus from the spring series for one week only but we could call this a spring trip to France which I have really enjoyed like thoroughly from start to finish it's been short but sweet but I've really enjoyed it and I feel like I've really found some clé de peau makeup favorites on this trip the blush that I used was so stunning and the foundation and concealer are really lovely as well I'm going to show you those tomorrow morning also look what I brought with me it's my la crème mini it's the cutest thing I have ever seen I'm so in love with this oh my god it's just so cute and I love the fact I can keep this after I've used it up and just refill it from my bigger pot oh this is gonna feel so good this has been so tight okay night guess who ended up staying up way too late as usual just thought oh I'll just pop the photos from tonight onto my laptop I'll just pop them on and then it's an hour later and I'm still obsessively going through resizing them and copying them and why do I do this to myself so I'm a very sleepy girl right now but it's all good it's all good because we're gonna go for breakfast see everybody get a nice coffee what am I doing what am I looking for cleanser but first we are going to get some skincare and makeup on my face and hope that it wakes me up a bit I've probably got one severely lazy eye right now one of them when I'm tired just does it save room I'm gonna time lapse you and we are gonna be done for breakfast in a flash morning Josie I found this one on the stairs and I scared everything out of her you were looking at the stairs and I was just standing there really silently yeah I was grieving I was vlogging I think I spot do I spot Victoria and Alex can't see what's like two meters in front of me but I can tell you the back of Victoria's head anywhere it's quite creepy very true and he's in a bright orange hat so maybe I'm not that skilled breakfast good morning good morning did you sleep okay really really well but not enough of it because I was editing photos you look cute today you're in the outfit that I love I love this outfit I really love it you look so cute
