Good morning. Today's adventure, we mentioned in one of our previous videos, a lake on the north
side of the Dalyana River and we are going to take a boat trip today up to the lake and to
the market in Koycigiz and we will be riding on this boat right here. We are on our trip right
now up to the town of Kociz. Did I say that right? Excellent, Kociz. Captain Boris is driving. It's
going to take us about an hour, an hour and a half to get up to the town. So this is our wonderful
host Captain Boris. This is him and his lovely wife Rebecca in there who is cooking, getting
started on cooking our lunch today. Captain Boris, how long have you and Rebecca been doing these
types of boat trips? Actually, we've been doing four-hour boats for three years but I've done
lots of experience before, like with other of my friends' boats, like renting and stuff like that.
I can say like 15 years. 15 years? Yeah. Okay, so you know these waters really well. Yeah. But what's
your favorite part about this job that you do? Captain and cooking. Yeah, yeah. You like driving,
you like cooking. Yeah, yeah. I like cooking. My hobby is cooking. Your hobby is cooking? Me too.
But I need to try both as well because I'm the captain as well. Right, right, right. So I train
Rebecca. She's doing quite amazing. Okay. As an English woman, she's making amazing Turkish foods
now. Anything else you want to say? Yeah, anything else? Like what can I say? I have no idea.
Hopefully, next year brings for us because we live with tourism. Right. Hopefully, next year
for me as Captain Boris and then my other friends, like all the boat captains,
restaurant owners and stuff like that, out of Covid. Yeah. Hopefully,
gonna be amazing. Where we are now, I would like to say we are in Köyceğiz Lake.
Köyceğiz Lake around from like when you start other side by ferry, we've seen long ferry,
then you go around 65 kilometers. Oh, wow. 65 kilometers. It's a big lake. Yeah, big lake.
Good. Like people say Turkey is the biggest in Turkey but there is big lakes but Köyceğiz Lake
also very big. You're gonna see at the moment when you pass the mountain over there. Okay.
You're gonna see it. Okay, beautiful. How it happens, people say from earthquake and stuff
like that. I don't know the stories very much but for us it's amazing. Yeah. To enjoy and live in
this lovely place. Thank you very much. Perfect. Giving my vote. Sharing all these tips with us
about so chill, so relaxed, amazing way to spend a Monday. We've just arrived here in Köyceğiz and
Captain Boris here has offered to take us around and show us the market. Let's go.
Mixed from orange, lemon flowers. This one. Cedar. Cedar trees. Yeah. Because very famous
in our Anatolia. Cedar trees. And this oregano. I don't know what's the name of this. Chestnut.
This come from Black Sea area.
Flowers from middle Anatolia. Because tea hives always like two months over there,
one month there, three months up there, somewhere all the time going with the lorry around.
So most amazing olive oils come from there in our province. So almost,
always expensive than other places, other towns. Okay we split up from Captain Boris. We've just
done a quick walk through of the market here in Köyceğiz. We're gonna try and head back
towards the boat right now and get moving again. We've just stopped in this gorgeous secluded
little bay. They're putting the finishing touches on lunch right now. We're gonna have some lunch
and then hopefully go for a swim. That's not a bad way to spend a Monday afternoon.
We've just arrived at another thermal pool. We're gonna go take a nice warm dip.
This has been an amazing day out in the boat. It's absolutely beautiful. Swimming in the lake,
being able to fly the drone here, the mud bass. The lunch was out of this world.
So we're heading back to Dalyan right now and we'll see you in a bit.
We had an amazing day out on the boat today. We wanted to thank Captain Boris and Rebecca
especially. We had an amazing time. The food was unbelievably fantastic. If you're ever in Dalyan,
definitely check out Captain Boris and Rebecca and come and have this amazing day out. So please
