Rep. Jim Walsh speaks in favor of his amendment to abortion access bill

Rep. Jim Walsh, R-Aberdeen, speaks in favor of his proposed amendment to SHB 1469, the controversial abortion access bill.

Walsh's amendment, which was approved by the state House, would give full faith and credit as provided in the U.S. Constitution to the judicial proceedings of another state. The 19th District lawmaker states that this fix to the underlying policy would address what he believes to be an unintended interference with the essential relationship between parents and their children.
