Hello everybody, welcome back to my channel.
Today I have a little video for you,
which is, what am I calling this?
A week in evening outfits.
So we have seven different scenarios
of types of evening events that you could be going to
on an everyday basis,
and I'm showing you what I would currently wear
for each of those seven scenarios.
Obviously you can mix these up.
There might be some that you think,
actually I'd wear this to that and that to this.
That's fine, this is just my personal take on it.
I'm not saying you have to wear this,
but just if you were looking for some inspiration
for any evening things that you have coming up,
then this video might be really handy for you.
This is not a fancy occasion look book.
This is not one for cocktail parties.
There is one like going out, out outfit in this video,
and that is my take on it for where I live right now.
So it's not super, super fancy.
Like I know when you go out in London,
like there's lots of very strict dress codes
and stuff like that.
In Brighton, we don't have that, thankfully.
So yeah, take this with a little pinch of salt,
you know, change little bits depending on where you live
and the kind of like dress codes
for places that you're going and things like that.
But yeah, this is just a little bit of outfit inspiration
for lots of kind of like low key evening events.
And please do let me know
if you would like to see a more fancy version of this,
cause I can definitely pull that together for you.
I just felt like this is the more natural way
for me to start this because I'm not a very dressy person.
Lots of you may notice I try and pair everything
with a pair of trainers.
So yeah, long rambly intro over,
not doing anything groundbreaking.
I'm not a professional stylist.
This is just my take and giving you some outfit inspiration
for those of you who said you like these type of videos.
Here you go.
Love your love.
Hope you enjoy it.
So this is the after work drinks outfit.
I personally love this one so much.
I think it might be my favourite outfit of this video.
It's just absolutely everything.
I love it so much.
I've had this shirt dress for a year
and I have never worn it, never even put it on.
And I threw it on for this video.
I just knew that I've known for ages
that it's been in my wardrobe and I haven't worn it.
And I just knew that when I was putting this outfit together
for after work drinks, I was like, that's the perfect thing.
I blindly put it on.
I've never tried it on before.
And I just was like, this is gonna be the outfit
and I've put it on and I just love it so much.
So I'll run you through the outfit
and then I'll show you the dress underneath.
I've got my Bershka leather jacket.
This is from ASOS, Azara belt, mulberry bag,
nice big bag because obviously when I go out to meetings
and stuff, I like to have a lot of stuff with me.
So I assume everyone else loves a big bag
for their nine to five and then these boots.
And the reason I picked this dress in particular
is because when you take the belt off, let's show you,
it actually, it kind of rides up
when you have the belt on it,
but actually underneath it's really long.
So you could wear this, depending on your work,
you could wear this with tights in the office.
I think some work environments will let you get away
with that, some won't, but you could also have it tucked
into like some tailored skinny trousers.
And I think that that would look lovely as well
or have like leather leggings or something like that
on underneath and have it like this,
however you wear it, whether it's with trousers,
with some tights on underneath, with like leather trousers,
it can still look really cool.
And I think it can still be office appropriate.
And then for the evening, you can take whatever off
of your bottom half and just cinch it in the middle
with a belt, or you just leave it like this.
But personally, I like a belt.
I like everything to kind of cinch in at the waist.
I love, like it does kind of like ruch up a tiny bit
and I just think it looks so flattering.
I've paired it with these Topshop boots.
I love these, these are incredibly flattering.
Even though they've got a very rounded toe,
they just work.
I really, really like them.
So let me put the whole outfit back together
and I'll show you again.
So outfit back together again, as you can see,
the belt just kind of cinches it in at the waist
and just gives it a little bit more shape.
I absolutely love it.
Just works so nicely with the black boots as well.
I do have another shoe option for you though,
because I just couldn't resist this other pair of shoes.
Just looks so cool with this outfit.
So if you were going more like after work drinks,
but potentially going out after that,
I have a different pair of shoes.
So if you like your outfits to be a little bit
more statement and this kind of was not enough for you,
then I would highly recommend switching up the boots
and making them a little bit more snazzy.
So these are boots from Topshop.
These are actually last year's, but I just kept them
because they are such a gorgeous statement shoe
and they really do work with this outfit.
They really elongate the legs.
I think anything with a pointed toe
kind of just makes this a little bit more like bam.
I don't know, it's first thing in the morning
and I haven't had coffee,
so my descriptive words are lacking.
But yeah, I think if you wanted to jazz this outfit up more,
then I would highly recommend a statement pair of boots
with it, especially ones with a pointed toe.
I just think that they're extra, extra flattering.
Yeah, this is the after work drinks outfit.
I love it.
I'm gonna wear this all the time now.
It's gonna be really annoying
because this dress is probably like long sold out.
So this is a little kind of casual dinner outfit.
So not like dressy, but also not too casual.
I feel like you guys don't need me to teach you
how to dress casual.
Although if anyone does want like a casual outfits video,
do let me know because that is like my jam.
But yeah, this is like kind of that in between
like nice dinner with friends kind of outfit
for when you're all making like a little bit of an effort,
but not too much.
This is my personal favourite kind of outfit for dinner
because it's just a dress that is not cinched in
at the waist at all.
So you can have a food baby all you want
and no one will ever know.
Like I'm really pushing out my food baby right now
and you can't even tell.
So yeah, this is my favourite thing to wear
just on any day that I'm bloated in general,
but in particular for days when I'm eating a lot of food.
So this is a jumper dress from Zara.
It is, most people kept telling me that it's not a dress
cause it's too short.
No, the girl on the website was wearing it with no pants.
Therefore, dress.
And this actually isn't the shortest dress that I own.
So let's just, no dress is too short.
Leave me alone.
I'm happy, leave me alone.
But yeah, it's from Zara.
I love it to bits.
There are kind of similar ones on Zara as well.
So I'll try and link anything I can in the info box.
As always, I feel like that's my most repeated sentence
of this video.
With it, I've got this Misoma necklace.
I like to have like a long necklace or something like this.
I feel like it,
cause this is quite a long piece of material
and it's just black.
It breaks up a little bit.
For my earrings, I've got these earrings
from Urban Outfitters.
They're so cool.
They're like tortoiseshell.
I love them.
And then my bag is this little one from Aspinal.
And then my boots are from Topshop.
I freaking love these.
They are so cool.
They're the best.
They're such a classic shoe.
I feel like I'll keep them.
Whatever, I'm very, very happy with this purchase.
I've already got so much wear out of them
over the past couple of weeks.
So yeah, that is my dinner outfit.
Perfect for eating so much food and no one knows.
So this outfit is the date night outfit.
So this is the one for when you say,
where are we going?
What are we doing?
And they say, it's a surprise.
And then you're like,
well, what do I wear for a freaking surprise?
And they're like,
just wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.
Yeah, okay.
I'll just turn up in my pajama shorts then, shall I?
So yeah, this is the outfit for that.
When you don't know where you're going
or what you're doing
and you kind of just want something
that works for everything.
We've got the denim jacket,
which casuals everything down.
If you go into a restaurant
and it's a little bit nicer than you thought it would be,
he hasn't taken you to Donatello's,
you can kind of take it off and be like,
yeah, I'm dressed really cute.
Yes.
So yeah, I like this outfit a lot.
And they've also got the adorable little aspinal bag,
which also works as a nice talking piece.
And personally for me,
if a guy doesn't take the mick out of me for wearing it,
then I don't want him.
But that's just my personal take on it.
So this top is one that you probably
will have all seen before.
It has the backless section,
which just makes it a little bit more sexy.
But it's kind of like really pulled together at the front.
This outfit also kind of works
for if you're out during the day as well
and going straight to a kind of date night situation.
And then we've got this skirt from Urban Outfitters,
but everywhere does these,
like Topshop have got a lot in at the moment.
So I will just link as many as I can.
Then Topshop boots.
Then the jacket is from ASOS.
This is my favorite ASOS jacket.
I have so many denim jackets.
This is my favorite one.
It's really oversized.
It's really distressed.
It's got a load of frayed hem and I just absolutely love it.
And then this bag is from Aspinal.
I think it's from their last year collection,
but I think they bring these out pretty much every year
in a different capacity.
I'll just link whatever in the info box.
Yeah, this is my date night outfit.
It's cute.
I think it's cute.
So this outfit is dinner and drinks.
We have a substitute item in this outfit
because my YSL heels are actually in the gleam offices
at the moment waiting for me
for when I go back up to London.
So I don't have those with me,
but that is what I would normally pair with this.
They're kind of like skyscraper versions of these.
And I love them so much.
I miss them.
And yeah, basically I've substituted them
with these ones from Topshop.
They bring these back basically every year,
kind of every winter they'll have a similar style.
So I'll try and find a similar pair to this.
Then we've got the Bershka leather jacket.
This corset top from Topshop.
Trousers are also from Topshop.
Basically it's a very Topshop heavy little outfit
that we have here.
Just got this little black bag
and I've kind of just like tucked it under.
I'm pretending it's a clutch
because my clutch, my evening clutch is also in London.
So I'm kind of like substituting a few things
in this outfit, but I just really wanted to film this video.
So yeah, this is kind of my casual down version
of this outfit, but I have done a very dressy version
of this outfit with a clutch, high heels
and I've had my hair all slicked back before,
slicked back before.
But for this one, I just popped it in a little bun
and I just think that it's a really nice kind of way
to feel dressy, but not feel too dressy.
Just for reference, this is what it looks like
with the jacket off.
So yeah, that's what we're dealing with.
I love this outfit.
I, like you guys will have seen this a lot.
I wear this all the time.
I've actually worn this in the summer during the day as well.
I wore it with like a little tan bag
and then my YSL tan sliders
and that worked really well as well.
So yeah, it's a nice versatile little outfit.
So this evening outfit is a bit more of an out outfit.
I have to disclose this by saying,
like when I go out, I generally wear trainers
because that's the kind of human I am
and I live in Brighton and things are very, very chilled.
So for example, I'm thinking of wearing this outfit
on my birthday and when we go out in the evening
after dinner, I'm probably gonna put trainers on
and leave my heels at the restaurant
and just pick them up the next day.
That being said, this dress is from Urban Outfitters.
It's really cute.
It's got this nice little cutaway in it.
I'll show you it without the jacket in a second.
Jacket is from Bershka.
Then I've got my Chanel bag
and then these little boots from Topshop.
I love them.
I love them so much.
So this outfit is just, I absolutely love it.
I like when I go out to have something
that I can have a jacket and that's fine
but I generally like to have something
that is a bit more like sleeveless
just so when you go inside, you're not boiling
and this dress works really nicely.
So it's from Urban Outfitters.
It's like this crushed velvet.
It's really, really gorgeous.
Because of the velvet, it's very wintry
so I feel like it's appropriate for this time of year
and then I've just paired it with boots
because I think boots just make
a nice little bit of difference.
Like I paired this with my plain black Topshop heels
to begin with and it just didn't stand out really
so I think sometimes like a little pair
of statement boots really do switch up an outfit completely
and with the leather jacket,
I think it just kind of pulls the whole look together.
One thing I have noticed is I have the wrong earrings in
so let's change that.
Okay, so these are the earrings
that I've decided to pair with this outfit.
They're like a gray tortoise shell
and I feel like that just adds like a little bit
of kind of pattern and a little bit of kind of texture
to the outfit.
It just clashes but in a really good way.
It's just that little bit of extra detail
and I didn't want to go for anything too gold
because there's not a lot of gold in this outfit
and my bag, the metal is kind of like a light gold
so I didn't want to go for anything too like big
and gold and statement especially because the shoes
are so statement on their own.
I think this just works really, really nicely.
But yeah, that is my out, out outfit.
Out, out outfit.
One question on the out, out.
When does going out become going out, out?
A question that I've been discussing
with my friends this morning.
When does one change into the other?
Need to know.
Leave your answers in the comments below.
Okay, so this is the casual drinks outfit.
So I'm going out for like one drink.
It's a gin and tonic type of affair.
No red wine is going anywhere near this jumper
because that would be a bloody disaster.
The jumper in question is from Topshop.
I love it.
It's like, it's very 90s.
It's all fluffy and very, very cropped
and I was just like, I'm gonna need that.
I love it, I absolutely love it.
So there's a lot of like gold detailing
running through this outfit.
So I've got a lot of gold jewelry going on.
I've got my monkey earrings.
Are these monkey?
Yes, monkey by ASOS.
Misoma necklace and then I've got a little bit
gold detailing on my belt and my bag as well.
So the belt is from Zara.
These are my green paper bag,
tie waist trousers from Topshop
and you can actually take the tie kind of band out of it.
So I've just popped a belt through it
just to give it a kind of little bit of a refresh
and it dresses it up just a little bit more.
It takes it from being a very daytime piece
and being very casual.
It's just being a little bit more dressy
and I really, really like it.
I've got my Zara, no, Topshop boots on,
Topshop boots on again
and then my little burgundy YSL bag
which is just perfect for this outfit
because it's very kind of autumnal
and it kind of works and clashes really nicely
with the green on the trousers as well.
Just absolutely, absolutely love this outfit.
It's really, really cute.
So yeah, that is what I would wear
for like just a casual drink with friends during autumn.
I wouldn't take a coat with me
because this, I'm sweating in it right now.
Honestly, you don't really need a coat with this
unless you get cold very, very easily
in which case throw a leather jacket on, do it.
But yeah, down south of the UK,
I would not be needing a coat with this right now.
As we go into winter, things will change
but right now we're in September
so things are still very, very warm.
But yeah, this is just a nice little casual outfit.
This could go daytime to evening as well
so if you are going out in the day
and you have like dinner in the evening,
no, dinner, drinks in the evening,
then yeah, this would work really, really well.
So this is my house party outfit.
This is one that I have actually worn
to a house party before
so it was kind of like my natural thing that I went for.
When I go to house parties, I get so warm
so I don't tend to wear a lot of clothing.
So tweak this if you do not feel the same as me.
I've got a jacket for on my way there
or on my drunk stumble home
and then underneath I've got this top from Topshop
and then some Topshop mom shorts.
They're distressed.
It's just kind of like a really casual vibe
and then I put my trainers on
and I really like the fact that my trainers
have green on them so it goes with the jacket
so I think that that's kind of like a nice little bit
of matching things together
and yeah, I just like the fact that the green jacket
doesn't clash but it just works really nicely
with the rose gold detailing on this top.
I just like the mixture of the kind of like warm tone
and then the green tone
but yeah, that is my take on house party outfits.
Don't like to wear a lot of clothing
because I get really hot.
Like right now, I'm in my house and I am boiling.
Obviously this will change as we go into the winter,
just a little bit but not really even a lot
because I just throw a big coat on over stuff.
Probably won't be wearing denim shorts though but still.
But yeah, for this time of year,
this is something that I would wear
to kind of like a house party
or drinks at someone's house or whatever.
It's just nice and easy and casual, comfy.
Mostly this one is just about regulating my temperature.
So those were my seven outfits.
I really hope you guys have enjoyed this video.
All of the links for everything, as I've said,
throughout this video, numerous times,
will be in the info box below
and there will also be details of my earrings
and jewelry and things like that
because I feel like as we were going through,
I forgot to mention jewelry occasionally
so I'll try and leave all of that info
in the info box below for you.
But yeah, I really hope you've enjoyed this video.
Please do let me know if you would like to see
fancier versions of this or more versions of this
or any themed seven days in outfits
that you would like to see.
I am here for you, girl.
So yeah, that is it for me today.
I love you lots and I'll see you guys again soon.
Goodbye.
