Jonathan Liebesman's 2011 military science-fiction action picture Battle: Los Angeles (also known as Battle: LA, stylized as Battle Los Angeles in the opening sequence and released internationally as World Invasion: Battle Los Angeles) is an American production. The plot was developed from a script by Chris Bertolini, partially inspired by a World War II event known as the "Battle of Los Angeles”.

The movie's principal photography started in September 2009, and on March 11, 2011, it was released in the US. Despite having a production budget of over $70 million, it made $211 million worldwide and earned mostly unfavorable reviews from critics. On June 14, 2011, it was released on DVD and Blu-ray.
