Following a couple days exploring the islands of Fiji, we cross the Equator by sea, leaving the ranks of Polliwogs behind us and joining the Shellbacks.

Welcome to the equator. This is our first time crossing the equator on a boat.
I think it's your first time crossing the equator ever, no? Yes.
So there's a tried and true sea-faring tradition
of hazing. We will officially go from being hollywogs
to shellbacks.
La Toca, Fiji. Yay, Fiji. It's a beautiful 15-minute walk from
the port where they dropped us off to the center of town.
We tried not to die. They drive on the opposite side of the road that we're
used to, which is a little strange as pedestrians.
We'll get used to it.
Now this is a market.
If we had this at home, this is my dream. Huge farmer's market.
This was our first of many market tours to come.
Yeah, it was pretty amazing.
A limited experience in La Toca, Fiji is attending this.
We found Feras Ali here, who is an off-duty cop driving a taxi, taking us
out for tours. We're going to go up and see
some pools up in the forest and wander around in the rainforest a bit.
You live behind the glass. We are in Suva, Fiji.
Hi Natalie. We are at the Kola Isuva Eco Resort.
A little jungle hike. Here we are at the
upper waterfall. It's beautiful.
Going down the stairs to the waterfall down here in Fiji, outside Suva.
It is awesome.
We came at the end of our beautiful long jungle walk with like nobody
and apparently a tourist drop-off point.
So we're thinking there's probably a quicker way back out over there because
these folks did not come the way we came.
But those folks did.
So to get back, we took the local Fijian bus for
a dollar a piece. Thanks to those folks over there.
They told us about the bus.
In Suva, we got out of the mountains and now we are going to wander around and
look for some local food and just get a little tour of the city.
It's a little nicer than Lakota, let's see.
We've only spent a little time in Suva town here but
like it a whole lot more than Lakota. I keep calling it Lakota.
What a beautiful little boardwalk now.
