Hey guys! I can't believe it's that time again to share my NEW favorites from the month of June! I was really excited to go into detail on some of these new finds and I can't wait to share them with you!!
I have all the links listed below of where you can find some of these products!
We are an ADVENTUROUS family of 6 who lost our son to SIDS in 2014. Our biggest regret was not having family videos of him when he was here and is why we started doing daily vlogs!
Thomas is a 2X North American Champion in his kick-boxing career and Ashley is a network-marketing professional.
Together we have 6 year old Identical twins- Simon & Cohen. Our son Miloh was born 12/12/13 and passed away 5/20/14. We were blessed with our Rainbow baby (and 4th son) Ezrah this year on 03/02/17 and we have loved sharing our every day journey with our followers and are looking forward to where this journey takes us!
Hey guys, welcome back to our channel.
Today I'm going to be sharing my very favorite things
that I found or used or watched or listened to
in the month of June.
And for whatever reason, every time I start a video,
my husband is out there sawing.
And I swear, last time I had this issue,
I was wearing the same shirt,
so maybe this shirt is just bad luck, I don't know.
But I literally have the most random things
that I'm going to be sharing with you guys today.
Like I said before in my last May favorites video,
I personally love to watch these
because I love to hear what other people are loving.
So that's what today is all about.
I'm going to start today with beauty.
Now I did not try one single new beauty product this month.
So because of that,
I'm just going to share one of my staple pieces,
something that I've loved for years
and maybe I haven't told you guys about.
And that is this Duo eyelash glue.
So if you are someone who glues on false lashes,
this pink one is the best.
I love this one because it's dark,
so when it dries, it doesn't give that like clear,
crystal-y looking, dried up glue grossness on your eye.
It dries, it looks like eyeliner when it dries.
So that's why I always, always, always stick to this one.
Oh, this is soft.
Oh my gosh.
Hopefully if I'm just talking over it,
you guys can still hear me.
It's just really loud.
It's really loud in here.
Okay, moving on to kids.
This little gym jammer is my favorite thing.
And I'm like, why have I never known about these
until my fourth kid, took me four kids
to find out about these things.
We have a one-year-old son,
and normally we just give him like a little bowl
or a bag of his little snacks,
and then he just throws them everywhere.
This is so handy because you cannot dump them out.
And what it does is as they grab in here,
it really makes it so they can only pick one out.
I mean, sometimes.
I've seen him stick his foot in here
and try to get more out at once.
But for the most part, I love this.
I love that we can just throw his snacks in here,
give it to him in the car while he's in his stroller,
or just walking around the house.
I will have this link below in the description box.
I did get this off Amazon,
but I will link everything I talk about today down below.
This next one is kind of random,
but this is one of my favorite foods.
Would you call it a food?
It's in the, I mean, yeah, it's food.
Okay, and that is this white chocolate
wonderful peanut butter.
Oh my gosh.
I can't even explain to you how amazing this is.
And my favorite way to eat this is on a rice cake.
Now, that's how I've been eating it
because I've been trying to watch what I eat,
but I'm sure it'd be plenty great on a piece of bread.
This is in no way like better for you than peanut butter.
It's kind of just like the alternative to peanut butter
because I just think it tastes better.
So this is my favorite way,
like when I'm having a peanut butter snack
or I'm craving something peanut buttery,
this is usually what I go for
because I think it's 10 times better
than regular peanut butter.
Moving on to the next thing,
the silicone reusable bags.
I am obsessed with these.
My favorite way to use these is to cut up fruits
and stick them in the freezer
because anytime I buy bananas,
my kids get excited for like one day.
They'll eat one and then like six of them go rotten.
So what I like to do is right when I get them
is I'll chop them up and stick them into these bags
because if I put them in a plastic bag in the freezer,
you know how that is.
Like they freeze to the plastic bag.
It's just, I don't know.
But see how they just like slide around all nice.
You can also use this in the microwave.
You can put them in the dishwasher.
They are just fantastic.
And so I got these again off Amazon.
I'll have a link below.
We have been loving these bags.
This next one is kind of an interesting thing,
but it's something that I tried this month
and I have absolutely loved it.
It's kind of in the replacement of saran wrap.
So this is beeswax wrap.
And what, well, it's called bees wrap.
It comes with three different sizes.
Let's say you cut a watermelon in half
and then you have the other half
you want to stick in the fridge.
You can just stick this over
and it just molds and sticks to itself.
So you can just, it's really cool how this works.
It's also great for leftovers.
That's what we have been using it for
is anytime we have leftovers,
we, instead of using saran wrap or plastic wrap,
we'll just stick this over the top
and then pinch it down and it just gets the air out.
I did not get this off Amazon.
I got this from Grove
and I will have that linked below as well.
And I also just want to remind anyone
who has not ordered from Grove yet before,
I do have a referral link in the description box below
and you can get this free Mrs. Meyer's gift set
with your very first purchase.
That's where I get all my cleaning products.
And it's also where I find all sorts of awesome new things
for the home.
While we are talking about cleaning products,
I do have a new favorite.
And this is so weird that I'm talking about
toilet bowl cleaner, but I have loved this.
I've always used Comet.
It's just what I grew up using.
It's what I've always used.
No, this cleans it 10 times better than Comet
and it makes it smell so good.
As I'm cleaning in the toilet,
it also just soaps up and it's really bubbly
and I feel like it just gives it a really nice clean.
I know Comet works great,
but I have been loving this new toilet bowl cleaner.
And so I just wanted to suggest this to you guys as well.
This next one is probably my favorite thing
that I've been wanting to share with you guys.
And this is the 5 Second Journal.
So I have been using this as a planner.
It is a planner and a journal in one,
but this by far is my favorite planner
I have ever used in my life.
And I am a really big planner girl.
So I have used all the kinds, every single one.
I've used them all.
And this one is my favorite
and I'm gonna share with you why.
Let me just open up to a page here.
So this is what a one day page looks like.
It is two full pages.
I will zoom in on this so you guys can see
what I'm talking about,
cause it's kind of bright.
I don't know if you can see anything right here.
So it's two pages and I love that
because first of all, let me back up.
If you have not yet read the 5 Second Rule
from Mel Robbins, do that first.
It is such a good, life changing book.
It really does help you mentally.
It helps you with motivation if you have a problem with that.
In fact, she kind of talks about how motivation is crap
and how just everyday the things that you need to do
to get yourself up and get yourself motivated
and get yourself inspired,
because you are the only person that can inspire yourself.
You can't wait for other people to do it for you.
So that's kind of the background on this journal.
And I think that because it kind of gets,
get mentally ready for the day,
it helps you realize the state of mood you're in
and maybe why you're not committing to your goals.
Or just, it does help you realize why maybe
when the day's over, okay,
these are the things I should have done.
These are the things that were kind of in the way
and this is what I can do tomorrow to change that.
I've just never seen a planner have prompts
quite like this before.
So I love it.
So the first thing is it shows today I feel
and it has these different categories,
like depleted, meh, fine, good, or energized.
And so you circle that every day.
So guys, for instance, this morning, I circled meh.
I was just not feeling it today.
But when I went over to the side and it was,
I feel this way because I wrote down all the reasons
why I was feeling meh.
Okay, so typically when I'm feeling kind of just like
not in a good mood, I will not get things done that day.
But because of the prompts in this journal,
it like helped me snap out of it.
And it's about one o'clock right now
and I am just feeling super energized and super good
because this journal seriously helps so much.
Okay, the next question is to feel more energized I can,
dot, dot, dot.
And so it helps you think of some ideas.
What are some activities that I can do
that I know will help lift my spirits?
And then you'll just write a few of those down.
And then it's really up to you to actually get out there
and do those things to kind of change your mood
or change the way the rest of your day goes.
Then it asks today my top project is,
and then you'll list all the things
that you have to get done today.
And then the next prompt is this project matters to me
because, and then you'll write down all the reasons
why it's important for you
to get this specific thing done today.
The next one is one small action I can take
to move forward is, and at the bottom it says
today I will stop working at.
And I love that because it does help you
hold yourself accountable.
So for instance, yesterday I said I will stop working
by six o'clock, like I'll have everything edited and done.
And because I wrote that down,
I made sure that by six on the dot,
everything for the videos was all finished
and getting uploaded.
The last thing it says right now I am grateful for,
and I also love this prompt because it does help you
if you're having a bad day,
it helps you to sit back and really think,
okay, what are the blessings that I do have
in my life right now?
And when I am feeling meh, that is the best prompt,
I think, to go to right away.
And think of the things that you are blessed with
and just the things that are going good in your life.
Then on this next page, over here to the left,
you'll see the brain dump.
So anything that's on your mind that day,
it's a good place to just scribble some notes.
And then on the right side, it's plan my day.
So if you have anything you need to plan,
it has from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. planned right there.
I love this journal, I can't say enough about it.
It's really helped me personally,
so I know it can help you guys as well.
The next thing I wanna talk about
is a book that I've been reading.
This is probably the third or fourth,
third or fourth, third time I've read this book.
The first time I read it,
I was pregnant with Simon and Cohen.
But I feel like now, at the age that they're at,
this is really an important book to read,
and I would suggest it to every single one of you
that have kids.
And that is Parenting with Love and Logic.
This book is revolutionary with parenting.
Oh my goodness, it just really helps so much.
It helps you raise obedient children,
and I swear, it is like the magic tool.
If you have not read this book yet,
and you do have kids that are very disobedient,
I promise this can really help
change the game for your family.
So essentially what it does is it teaches you
the most beneficial ways to discipline children,
and to help raise your children
to make good choices as adults,
because essentially that is really all that matters, right?
Raising those kids to become good adults
that make good choices,
and obviously we're all gonna make mistakes,
but I do believe that by helping our kids
make choices early on in life,
that it will help them make those good choices
later on as well.
Okay, I'm just gonna ask you,
how many of you have had a scenario happen
where maybe you're in the grocery store,
your kids are throwing a temper tantrum
because they want something,
whether it's a candy or a toy,
and you just give in because you just wanna shut them up,
basically, right?
Okay, we've all been there, we've all given in, right?
What that teaches your child is they act a certain way,
well then they get rewarded.
So they know if I scream and throw
a temper tantrum at the store,
I know my mom will give in.
That's the only way that I can get what I want.
This book just changes your entire mindset.
It does a whole 180,
and it helps you be the one in control.
I'm just gonna read what the back of the book says,
like the description.
It says, raise children who are self-confident,
motivated, and ready for the real world
with this win-win approach to parenting.
Your children will win
because they'll learn to solve their own problems
while gaining the confidence they need
to meet life's challenges.
And you'll win because you will establish healthy control
without resorting to anger, threats,
nagging, or exhausting power struggles.
So I really do suggest this book
to any of you parents out there.
It has been a huge life changer for us, personally.
It's just a really good book,
and I could keep going on and on and on about that,
but we'll just end it at that.
Okay, one of these last products
that I wanna share with you
is actually not really a product.
Hold on, let me fix you over here.
Not really a product,
but more of something that I've done this month
that has really helped heal my heels.
So if you have dry, cracked up heels,
okay, this is what I've been doing every night.
I did it for about seven days straight,
and my heels were almost 100% back to normal.
Like, I've never seen them this smooth
since probably junior high.
It's been a long time.
So what I've been doing is I will grab some Vaseline,
and I really, like, I get in there,
and I get a lot.
I mean, I'm talking like a chunk, okay?
And I will just rub that on the bottoms of my heels.
Okay, let me just get that back in there.
Then put socks on and go to sleep.
So that's all I did,
and my feet are just smoother than a baby's bum.
Maybe not that smooth, but they are really smooth.
I mean, when I showed Thomas my heels a few weeks ago,
I'm like, look, babe, these are, like, painful.
Like, they're hurting me.
I've never had painful heels before,
and I swear I would never get those gross heels
that adults have, but then I got them.
And so I found a magic trick,
and now I just do this every single night,
and I probably will do it forever and ever
so that I just never have cracked heels ever again.
The last thing I wanna share is of my,
let's see, is what I'm watching on Hulu or Netflix.
Netflix, I really can't think of anything.
We do have Netflix, we do have Hulu,
but I do wanna say, Timeless on Hulu was amazing.
That is a series we binged for the last couple weeks.
I will warn you, it does end abruptly,
and there may not be another season.
So just a fair warning before you get started
and you get super into it, just know it will end abruptly
and you will be upset about it.
But it is still a very good show.
I also wanted to ask you guys,
what are some of your favorite movies or TV shows
or things you like to binge on Netflix and Hulu?
Comment that down below because I'd like to know
what you guys are watching,
and then maybe we can have more shows to binge at night.
That is definitely our guilty pleasure.
We like to sit down at night and watch a show or two.
All right, guys, well, that sums up June's favorites.
I can't believe it's already over.
Like, what in the heck?
June is over.
It's almost over.
It's almost July.
Like, what?
This is crazy.
This year is flying by.
But thank you guys so much for watching,
and we'll see you next time with another video.
Bye!
