TOPSHOP TRANSITIONAL AUTUMN HAUL | Hello October

Really glad I picked one of the hottest days of the year to film an autumn haul. It's freezing. There's snow outside. Not working. Hello everybody, welcome back to my channel. So today we have a Topshop transitional summer to autumn haul. It's in my brain. I tend not to do too many hauls on this channel anymore, partly because I shop in a very different way to how I used to shop. I used to shop very very frequently and buy quite a lot of stuff and now it's just not really the same. But one of the times that I do tend to do a big shop is as we're going into autumn, especially when the new Topshop stock comes in. Couldn't resist having a look and I'm not going to lie, I bought some stuff. So in here we have an array of autumn items, mostly consisting of khaki colours and there's quite a few blazers because that is an area that I knew going into autumn that I wanted to kind of invest in more for my wardrobe. I do feel like I'm just lacking and I really did feel like there are certain tones that were missing and also certain fits. Most of them are very relaxed boyfriend shapes and I did want something that's a little bit more oversized and maybe with a padded shoulder. So it's quite hard to shop for those online but I did order a couple. So there's a few of those and then I've also picked up some accessories as well just because I feel like that is an area that I like to invest in. The bulk of my wardrobe I feel like doesn't really change too much. I've got key pieces that I do tend to re-wear over and over at the kind of like fitted tops I really like to wear and they branch across like all seasons. So at the moment I'm leaning towards accessories to pair with some of the staple outfits that I have in my wardrobe. So there are basically a lot of accessories and a lot of jackets because I just find that that's where I get the most variety in my wardrobe and that lends itself best to styling. So if that sounds like your kind of thing then keep on watching. I'm just gonna... I'm gonna go through blazers first. The first one is I think part of a suit if I recall correctly from ordering on the website. I ordered all of this by the way about a week or so ago and then I went to Ibiza so my memory is a little bit foggy I'm not gonna lie. So this is like a single breasted blazer and then it's part of a suit and it's got a padded shoulder as I had hoped. I ordered it in a 12 in hopes that it would be a bit more oversized so I'm gonna see how it fits but it does by the look of like the cut and the way it folds look like it's meant to be a bit more fitted so we shall see. I really just want something huge and oversized and really like boxy. Basically I feel like I need to shop in the men's section for the blazer that I want um so if I don't have much more luck on my search I feel like Zara should do something like that but if they don't then I'll probably shop in at the men's section of somewhere but we'll see how that fits now. Wasn't really expecting this one to be a success but this is actually it fits really nicely um so the shoulders are padded which I liked and really really wanted it just fits really nicely like it's done up it's got this one little button here it isn't as long as I would like which is the only thing that makes me want this in a slightly bigger size but that might be something that I lean towards doing with the green blazer and have this one exactly how it is because the fit of this is really gorgeous I'm really happy with it and it cute with these little leather shorts underneath so yeah pleasantly surprised by this one I really thought this was going to be the one that was going to be super super fitted yeah I really like this I'm very very happy with it. Next I have this blazer and it's like a khaki double breasted style not so much shoulder padding sadly but it is a bit more boxy so we'll see I got this in a 10 I think because it did look more oversized on the website. I love the colour of this I really hope it fits nicely I just feel like this and like some sock boots and like a little kind of like black dress underneath or like white shirt and uh like black leather skirt look really really cute with this so I'm hoping that looks good. So sadly this blazer is definitely going to be one I will have to send back uh I might exchange it I'm gonna have to go a couple of sizes up I think it just looked much bigger on the model this isn't the look that I was going for so I think this is gonna have to go back um and I'll exchange it for a bigger size it's cute like this but I just kind of wanted it a bit more like oversized and like boyfriend fit so TBC if you see me wearing a khaki really oversized blazer you'll know. Next up we have this shirt jacket I love a shirt jacket if you've been watching my content like on Instagram over the summer you might have noticed I really really really love a shirt jacket and Topshop have this khaki one in and I just really love khaki I'm hoping the length is gonna be good I think it will be hopefully not too short I find there's a sweet spot with shirt jackets so. So the green shirt jacket I love so much you can have it like high necked like this or open which I really like I just like having the option because a lot of my shirt jackets don't do that they've kind of just you have this and there's no other option it's a little bit short but not too bad on me on anyone taller than five foot two I would say it's going to need like a cycle short or a pair of shorts underneath a skirt underneath something like that you know the deal but going into winter it would I also do like it without this tied up so I kind of like it when it's just big and oversized like this but that is my personal preference because I do like things that are really really baggy and oversized and I like the fact that the sleeves are a little bit longer I just think this is cute I'm very very happy with this I also think with a pair of heels this would look super super cute as well I've just thrown these on because this is the kind of shoe that I wear on an everyday basis when I'm just like cash but I actually think with a pair of like sandals this would look super cute so I'm going to show you that right now so this is what they look like with a heeled sandal for a more like eveningy kind of more slightly dressy look I really like mixing very very casual things like this with something very dainty on my feet this is just a really good all-rounder I'm very very happy with this next we have this denim shirt jacket so yeah I'm excited to try this on I do have like a big oversized denim shirt that I like to wear but it doesn't have a tie around the waist and with the like big like waist belt it just tends to look a little bit like early 2000s and I actually think just having like a tie waist in the same material as the jacket that's just like quite small and a bit more subtle just works really really nicely so I am excited to try that on I think the denim will be really nice and warm for autumn and winter as well and I don't run too cold so hopefully I should be able to wear that throughout the winter and I'll get a lot of wear out of it I feel like as long as it fits well so very very excited for that so this is the denim shirt dress I absolutely love it the one thing I would say though is it doesn't feel lovely um the quality of this denim does feel it's not so great compared to when you get a pair of top top jeans and it also smells frank I'm just not going to beat around the bush it's gorgeous I will wear it I'm going to just throw it in the wash um I'm really really happy with it but if you are like really really fussy about smells just beware when you get this out the packaging it does smell disgusting it's kind of a bit like uh I can only assume it's what they've used to bleach or like dye the denim because it basically smells like bleach it's really really gross but I do really really love it like I was saying I really love cinching things in at the waist I just think it gives a really nice silhouette and it's just very very cute very cute so it looks really sweet with these sandals and I also think that you could wear this on a night out with a pair of sock boots as well so I'm going to show you that now so this is the shirt dress with a cute little pair of sock boots I think these are from house of CB but yeah I am going to go put this in the wash right now because it's rank be right back so I think this is the final jacket and then it might be a cardigan um but I saw this on Melissa from Melissa's wardrobe she is on Instagram I love her so much in addition to Instagram she is kind of predominantly a stylist and she's just ---- hot like I just love her and everything that she styles it's just my everything and I saw her wearing this and bearing in mind Mel's like a fair bit taller than me this could go horribly wrong because it is kind of long but I thought that I would give it a go one of the things I've really changed in my style over the past year or so is I've actually stopped dressing for my height lots of people ask me about this and like tips for dressing for small figures and I actually like don't have any tips I don't really dress for the fact that I am vertically challenged anymore even if something is very very long I just tend to like run with it or if it's like obviously painfully long and inappropriate then I'll have it altered if I really want to invest in that item generally with like coats and things like that I just kind of roll with the fact that it is a bit longer on me and own it I always see really tiny girls wearing like very very long kind of like trench coats and stuff like that and it looks great on them so I don't really know why I shied away from it so much so I thought I'd just give this go anyway even if it doesn't hit me at the same point it hits someone else like it could still look really cool so yeah and I love the kind of like PU fabric and I really love the color it's a really beautiful color it's just stunning I feel like one of my friends is going to tell me that it just looks like slime but I'm kind of into it so this is the jacket I'm just coming on here to tell you that this is a no it is vile to wear I literally sat on the sofa to take these shoes off and I basically slipped along the sofa and if your temperature rises whilst wearing this at all it's it sticks to you it's gross I literally I can't no no oh such a shame because it's quite it's quite cool but it's just this is an absolute no why did I think this was a good idea don't buy this so I didn't pick up too much in the way of tops but I did pick up this uh shirt or blouse I would say because it doesn't really have like a proper like neckline but it's just a really really pretty like small floral print and it just is so cute I really love the colors on this and I just love a small print on a shirt I think it almost gives the illusion of like texture to be fair this actually does have texture it's like ribbed I just love this I think it's really unique and I haven't seen anything like this around recently so yeah it's really cute and I kind of have been lacking in like the light shirts in my wardrobe like light little blouses I feel like going into autumn that's something that I might want to wear more of I'm kind of feeling it there's like one outfit that I keep going back to when I think about how I want to style myself this autumn and it's kind of along this line so yeah I'm excited to see if this fits style it up because I have something I want to style it with which I will show you now we have this skirt it's like a leather skirt with silver buckle detailing I really like it it's like a little bit tough and a little bit edgy and I feel like it would go really nicely with this shirt I think the colors complement each other nicely and this is so so girly and feminine and this is like a little bit tougher but it's still a skirt rather than being like shorts so I do have like a pair of like leather shorts and I do find that when I'm wearing like a pair of heels or something like that it just doesn't work as nicely as if it was a skirt so I've been looking to just invest in a couple more skirts to have in my wardrobe which I never thought I would say because I'm not a massive skirt person but actually over the past like six months I would say things have just like started leaning a little bit more feminine uh but still with like an edge and I'm really enjoying playing around with that so yeah I'm very excited for that outfit this is my little skirt and shirt combo I think I like it I feel like in the winter with a pair of like over the knee boots and my camel jacket which is coincidentally just there could look really cute with this I've paired it with these shoes uh which you will see later I don't know how much I love it I think it is very very girly for me I'm thinking maybe it's the all purple tones that I'm not loving and maybe I should mix this with something slightly warmer like a tan I'm gonna try it on with the camel coat and see how I feel about this but I think maybe with a summer shoe this isn't working so well for me because it is just a bit too like soft okay so I feel like this definitely works better with a pair of boots 100% yeah I'm happy with that much more autumnal as well and then this is what it looks like with the jacket on and it looks really cute yeah I'm gonna keep this outfit it's cute this coatigan by the way is from Mango I got this a year ago but they kind of still have this or variants of it in stock so um if I can I'll link it I also feel like I forgot to tell you I will be doing like a transitional summer to autumn outfits video which will be using things that I've already got in my wardrobe and then maybe a little bit of some of this if I keep it and think that it's appropriate to use but yeah I did that last year and really really enjoyed that so basically just made my summery outfits a little bit more warmer and I really enjoyed doing that video so I will be doing that again this year oh and on the note of videos and styling videos I would say don't forget to follow me on instagram because I do do smaller videos on quick fix with me during the week but anyway next item is this cardigan I just thought it looked really really cute and soft and comfy and very very oversized so I'm gonna see how this fits it is a bit of a like it feels a bit cotton ball like and I don't know if I'm liking that but um yeah it's cute trying this on for like two seconds to show you the fit before I take it off because I just really hate touching this I do really like the fit of it I think it's really cute I like the fact it kind of bowls out and then goes back in uh at the hem and the sleeves are like really long it's nice and oversized I'm not keen on the feel of it but it doesn't feel that way on the inside which is its saving grace it's just a very like fine knit like you would get on kind of normal knitwear if you can get over the cotton wool feel of the outside um this is a really really cute cardigan and I really like the fit of it so I thought I would move on to bags quickly and the first one that I picked up that I really really love is this it's a little like green velvet kind of it's almost like clutch like but you could hold that um I don't know why I needed to demonstrate that for you because you're not morons you know how to pull the clutch but anyway I love the chain on this it's so cute it's like hexagon-y and then circular and I just think that is so cool uh it's like a very modern twist on like a very kind of older style bag it's really cute how do I open it though ah okay so it opens like that it's actually really easy to open well I say that yeah cute and then the other bag I picked up it's a bit more of a daytime bag I really love this I love khaki at the moment can you tell I feel like I've been on this since like last autumn I'm so sorry that I just don't change my preferences this is so cute it's got like this gold square detailing on the front and then like a little marble kind of square in the middle which I just think it's really really sweet and then it just like pops open like this it's cute and then inside it's got just like a long strap um I'll show you these when I'm like holding them and wearing them with an outfit so that you can like see what they look like and what the straps are like and then I also picked up some shoes I picked these up in two colours and I kind of had a feeling that I would prefer one over the other and probably send one back but I ordered both of them just so I could like style them in the comfort of my own home and see like what was going on and what I wanted to have in my wardrobe this autumn the first pair of these like kind of nude they look like more of a nude on the website but they're actually more of a baby pink uh so they're like a croc kind of um they are cute I do I do like a pink more so now than I ever have before in my life this is more of a nude but you know you've seen my instagram but I can't ever get away from the burgundy tones in my wardrobe I just live for burgundy and I love these so they're the same style of shoe you can see more of a texture on them though they're like they've got like a black woven in and they're more of like snake snake print still on that it's been a year still on that snake print life but yeah it's more of like a snake print and it's got like um kind of black and kind of mauve woven in together which I really really like it just gives it a bit more depth I think these definitely look more expensive than these I would say I don't know some people might disagree with me but that's my feels on it feel is pretty much the same I would say yeah and they've got this square kind of toe uh which is very very in at the moment and I do really like it I have a pair of snake front heels and they are more sandal like that kind of like a flip-flop but with a little heel um I really like wearing these with jeans and just like a white t-shirt or like my leather um kind of trousers and a white t-shirt I think looks really like minimalist and very kind of like chic and really simple but like pulled together it's just like really really easy dressing and because it's such a small heel that it's kind of quite everyday really I've got better at wearing heels and my balance is much better now than it has ever really been before so little heels like this are kind of like good for me in the day just for like meetings and stuff not for like everyday ---- because we all know I'm in training and saying but I'm going to see how I get on with styling both and then make an decision and then I think the last couple of items are trousers because we all know I love a trouser so first we have this pair of mom jeans and they're like distressed I don't have a pair of distressed mom jeans uh in my wardrobe and especially like an acid wash which is what these are I've really felt like that has been missing from my wardrobe and I'm very excited to style these I hope they fit nicely I keep looking at them and keep meaning to order them and I just finally took the plunge I think those will look really really nice with so these are the mom jeans if you've seen me try mom jeans before on this channel you'll probably be like there was nothing new to see here but uh yeah I thought I'd show you them anyway um and for those of you who don't know the fit this is kind of how they sit so it's like a little bit more baggy around here and then slightly tighter as you come in um to the calf or ankle area but uh not too much tighter I've rolled these up they come rolled up once I've rolled them up twice um so like a second time uh just to have them sit where they would sit on most people so I've got these in a 28 waist and a 30 leg they fit really nicely around my waist they've got like a little bit of room so there's like give when you sit down these are actually really good for uh sitting down because they've got the rips in the knees so they're not too tight especially on the first wear I find when I wear jeans for the first time they're always super tight yeah these look great with trainers boots whatever um and then I've also paired it with a body which I think is from Topshop as well oh you can tell it's hot wow literally had this on for like 2.5 seconds but yeah really really happy with the mom jeans and then finally I have this pair of leather trousers that are like a wide leg I'm interested to see how these work out I really love my Zara ones which are like more of a jogger and they're just so great and I just love kind of like as you guys will know I love a leather texture in my wardrobe I thought these could work really nicely but these are going to be like make or break like absolutely disgusting or really really cute praying for the latter I'll show you what they look like either way because I feel like if you are taller this will be really helpful for you because you'll know that how much extra length is on these I'm five foot two for anyone that's wondering so you can kind of like judge where this will be on you based on my height and if you're smaller and these do look good then you know there is a green light for you and if you are none of the above then you can probably just laugh at how stupid they look on me so these are the wide leg leather trousers they're actually not too bad on me in terms of length the only thing I have done is rolled this hem down once so it would normally be up like this but actually it sits really nicely at this point on me my body is much shorter like I have a short body and short legs which is why I'm five foot two I'm proportionate but just small um but yeah so it kind of just makes it sit kind of like how it would on everybody else and then just in terms of the leg length it is probably a little bit longer than it would be for most people um so with these I probably wouldn't wear a trainer with them I think they would look amazing like that but actually on me I think realistically that's not gonna work it's just gonna look a bit awkward like they've had an argument with my ankles to use one of my mum's favourite phrases from the 90s and early 2000s I really like the way they fit I like the way they feel they kind of skim really nicely works really nicely with a sandal because it just kind of gives you a little bit more of an elongation especially because they are like a strappy sandal with so much of your foot like on show it's just very like elongating I haven't used that word in a while one thing I would say is like BPL with uh this uh just because it is that type of material so I'm wearing this body uh which is why you can see that but um maybe don't wear a body or get a body that has like a thong so yeah I'm gonna have a think about these and to do a lot more thinking about whether I'm gonna keep things these days just to make sure that I really get the wear out of everything but they are really nice so yeah that is it from me today I will leave everything that I am like keeping returning or sizing
