Good morning, guys.
Welcome back to my channel.
And welcome back to a video
that I have not filmed in so, so long.
So, as you will have already seen by the title,
I am heading down to Primark today.
I'm actually going to the Primark,
sorry, I'm just getting my handbag,
back in my hometown, back to Birmingham,
because anyone that's been to the Birmingham Primark
will know, it's the biggest, it's the best,
it's got all the best stuff,
and yeah, if you're gonna go to any Primark,
highly recommend the Birmingham one.
So, I am gonna head down there,
because, I'm not gonna lie,
I have been really disappointed with Primark
over the last sort of like six to 12 months,
apart from the Primark home section in Birmingham,
but in terms of clothes, I've really kind of stepped back,
because whenever I've gone, it's just not been the same.
Like, I used to really enjoy, like,
going to Primark a couple times a year.
You know, like, getting all your knickers,
and your socks, your pyjamas,
getting some, like, little bargains,
and I've just not found it the same recently.
So, I haven't been in so long,
so I thought today, let's give it a chance.
Let's go and see what they've got,
and even if I don't get anything,
I love making these videos,
because I feel like I can still show you guys
what is out and about, and give you my thoughts and opinions,
but there's, you know, I'm not needing to buy it
if I don't need it, like, I can still appreciate
that something is good, or good value for money,
but I don't need it.
So, yeah, and also, my sister's coming with me,
because she stayed here last night,
and she has recently, like, moved for uni,
so she wants to look at all of the cute home stuff as well.
So, we're gonna go down, and yeah, just check it out,
but for now, I need to actually pack my bag.
I need some sort of jacket.
It's one of those weird in-between days today, guys,
where it's not hot, it's not cold.
I'd rather be on the cold side,
because if I'm going round a shop,
I don't wanna be, like, sweaty and feel ferocious,
so I think I'm gonna go with the gilet look today.
I was really tempted to get that Zara gilet
that everyone's got, but I don't know
whether I actually want it,
because I've seen everyone else have it,
or whether I actually want it.
Don't know, I think I might go for the gilet.
No, I don't, have I gone off this black gilet a bit?
Don't know if I actually really like it that much anymore.
Or do I go for, I think I'll be too hot in a jacket.
No, I think it's gonna be a gilet job today.
Let me put some perfume on.
I'm putting on a bit of Jo Malone lime,
basil, and mandarin.
And before I go, I will quickly show you my outfit,
and then, yeah, we will get going
on a little shopping trip to Primark.
So just to show you my outfit of the day before I go,
just wearing something super comfortable.
As I said, it's neither here nor there
with the weather today, so it's one of those awkward days,
a proper autumn day where you dress for winter
in the morning, and then by lunchtime, you're sweating.
So I am just wearing my oversized H&M camel jumper.
This was from a couple of years ago.
I really wish they would bring this exact style back
and do it in loads of colours,
so I would stock up,
because it's the most lovely fitting oversized jumper ever,
and I'm obsessed with the colour.
And then underneath,
I have actually got on a unitard underneath,
so this just keeps going and going and going all the way up
just for a little bit of extra warmth.
And then I am wearing my new Ultra Mini Uggs
in the shade chestnut, because, I'm sorry,
but have you ever seen such a perfect jumper
and shoe combo to go together?
And then I have just popped on this gilet.
This was from, was it H&M or Zara?
I actually need to check the label.
Oh, this was also from H&M.
Pretty sure I got this last year as well.
So I've just popped this on more as a just-in-caser.
And then bag, I am taking my little shoulder bag today,
my black palline bag.
I found some earrings that I've not actually worn
in so long.
They're my big chunky ASOS hoops.
So glad I found them,
because I love wearing them autumn-winter
with knitwear like this.
So yeah, this is my outfit for going shopping today.
So let's get going,
because your girl also needs a Starbucks.
So I'm just on my way down to Primark now in the car.
I feel like this journey's taken so much longer
than it needed to.
The traffic driving down has been horrendous,
so I'm now starving.
So I might have to have an earlier lunch,
but I have got my sister in the car,
but she's a bit camera-shy.
She is here, I've not made her up.
But we're going down,
because I was telling them,
you've just moved, haven't you?
Yeah, I have.
So she has moved for uni,
and she's started a master's,
but you're kind of looking for home-y stuff, aren't you?
Yeah, just little bits and bobs,
just nice little things.
And Primark Home is good for that,
because obviously it's inexpensive,
but the stuff is actually decent, isn't it?
It's so nice.
It's so good.
And Primark holds a special place in your heart,
doesn't it?
Yes, it really does.
So to help fund Jade's master's,
she's got a job at Primark as well.
So she's had a day off work to go to work.
Yeah, it's my pride and joy, what can I say?
She's so obsessed with Primark,
she can't stay away.
So we're going to go down,
and just, because Birmingham one is the best one.
You did work at the Birmingham one for a little bit,
didn't you?
Yeah, a couple months.
Yeah, so now you've transferred.
Yes, I have.
Just had to take Primark with you.
I just love it.
You can't stay away, clearly.
But Birmingham is the best one, isn't it?
Yeah, by far.
Like the home section.
The home section's amazing.
So yeah, we're going to have a little look for Jade as well,
get her some nice little bits of homey stuff.
I need to concentrate here,
because there's about a million lanes.
I'm pretty sure I need to get over into this one, yeah.
So we're going to look for some nice bits for you.
I want to look at like the autumn, wintery clothes.
So yeah, I'm going to take you around both sections.
We're going to do the clothes first,
and then go into the home section.
But I always do like the mooch around the home stuff,
especially this time of year,
when they've got all like their candles coming out.
And yeah, it's just great.
And then I think we will probably grab some lunch,
and then yeah, and then go back home.
And that'll probably be my annual autumn,
winter trip to Primark.
So guys, here I am back with another voiceover.
So headed into Primark,
and it was actually nice and quiet.
So it was quite easy to film all these bits and bobs.
So love that for me.
It's currently raining as I'm filming this voiceover.
So if you can hear rain in the background,
it wasn't raining in Primark, it's just raining now.
So yeah, started off going down to the first floor,
and just to check out more of like their more recent,
more autumny bits really.
So first things that caught my eye were these cream boots.
Thought they were lovely,
but I wanted to save the shoes until a little bit later on,
but they were 20 pound in case you're interested,
but I will come back to shoes.
For now, sticking with the clothes.
Now, I actually thought this was a really cute little top,
maybe for like wearing with some nice trousers,
some nice leather shorts.
And they also had it in green.
So if this is your kind of vibe,
I think you'd really like this.
I thought they were just very, very cute.
Anyway, onto the more autumnal pieces.
They had this entire wall full of all the autumn colours,
all the browns, the oranges.
I was really enjoying it.
And they had these orange faux leather shorts,
which I know might seem a bit mad,
but I actually think they were quite nice.
Anyway, this corduroy shirt, really, really loved.
I hate the way they styled it,
but I really, really liked it.
Gorgeous chocolate colour.
The quality was there.
I think wearing this with just some leggings and some Uggs
would look really, really nice in the autumn.
And they also had these kind of like knitted collars
to add on like underneath jumpers and things like that.
They had them in grey and black.
I thought they were very kind of like Zara H&M vibes.
And I believe these were about,
I think they were seven or eight pound.
Oh, six pound, there we go, even better.
And then I also spotted the corduroy shirt in cream,
which again, I was so tempted to pick this up.
I'm actually a bit annoyed at myself
for not picking up this in the chocolate and the cream.
Now I'm looking back,
because the quality of these were really, really nice.
And yeah, 20 quid as well,
which I thought was quite expensive for Primark.
Anyway, moving round to the jackets and the coats,
which is where I feel like Primark really came through.
They had this black like puffer gilet, but again, 20 pound.
I don't know, I thought that was quite steep.
And then they had these like quilted looking coats.
I actually think this would make a really nice
like cosy dog walking coat.
Now, obviously you don't have to wear it for dog walking,
but that's the kind of vibe it was giving me.
The quality of it was actually really, really nice, 28 pound.
So again, pricier for Primark, although it is a coat,
so I suppose that is, you know, to be expected.
I did quickly try it on in store.
I thought it went quite nice with my outfit actually.
And yeah, really, really liked it.
And then these, oh my God, again,
slight buyer's regret over these.
Wish I'd pick one up now,
but these are such a dupe for the H&M fleecy
zip-up jacket that they've got.
Really, really love this.
Obviously had to try it on in store.
I thought, again, went really nice
with my outfit that I was wearing.
Really, really love this.
And then, oh my God, this,
this is something you'd pick up in Zara,
black aviator jacket.
The quality was really there with this one, 35 pound.
It did have like a good weight to it.
It was nice and thick.
It would definitely keep you warm.
And then I actually loved it even more when I tried it on.
I just don't think this looks like a Primark jacket.
I think they really, really did well with this one.
Was thoroughly, thoroughly liking it.
And then round to the shackets.
If you are a shacket lover,
they had lots of checked shackets, plain ones.
Personally, I prefer a plainer one.
So I was kind of more drawn into these ones.
However, really disappointed with the quality of these.
So I was quite liking this gray one,
but then when I actually felt it, it was so thin.
As you can see, 18 pound, and I'm showing you here,
you can literally see my nail coming through the material.
It was so thin.
I feel like it just defeated the whole point
of a shacket for me.
And then if you love a teddy coat,
they had some gorgeous ones.
One thing I will say is the quality of these
were really, really nice.
They felt so thick and so warm.
And for 35 quid, I will say again, steep for Primark,
but if the quality's there, then I don't mind,
but this chocolate one stole my heart.
And then I also quite like the look
of these wool style blazers.
I am actually looking for a blazer like this,
but yeah, I thought the quality of this one
just wasn't quite there for me, but they were 20 pound.
And then a nice long camel coat.
I feel like this is something that everyone needs
in their wardrobe.
It's such a staple, whether you wear it for work
or just more casually.
Now this was 40 pound,
probably the most expensive thing I picked up in Primark,
but the weight of it, it was really weighty.
I really liked the quality.
The only thing I didn't like was the black buttons on it.
I feel like the buttons cheapened it a little bit,
which is a bit of a shame.
And then they also had some faux leather bike jackets.
Now for me personally, I love a faux leather jacket.
I just prefer them a little bit more oversized.
These ones were a little bit more fitted,
so just not for me.
And then this denim over shirt I really liked.
It really reminded me of the one that I got from Primark
not too long ago.
Really, really liked it.
Loved this color of denim.
Really classic looking.
And I just feel like it's one of those pieces
that you would never tell that this was from Primark.
And then they also did have some of the,
you know, the Zara bodysuits.
They had some of theirs.
However, they were so see-through, so thin.
They weren't double lined like the Zara ones.
So yeah, wouldn't recommend those.
And then they did have quite a few of these cropped shirts.
Now I'm not sure if I actually like these cropped shirts.
I feel like they kind of defeat the point of staying warm
in autumn, winter.
But as I said, they did have a few different colors.
I did also have a look at this blazer,
but yeah, just felt a little bit thin.
So it wasn't really for me.
How gorgeous is this scarf?
They had quite a few scarves
and the quality of them was so nice.
Really, really lovely material.
Only £8 for this one,
which I thought was really, really good to be fair.
And then this little section here,
I just thought they did this really, really well.
I was really enjoying looking at all these bits.
So they had some faux leather shorts, which were great.
Only £12, really, really liked those.
And then also I did quite like this striped jumper
and the green bag,
but really, really loved this black
like quarter zip jumper dress.
I'd have loved it even more if it was like knitwear
rather than more of like a sweater material.
But I did think for Primark, it was really, really nice.
As I said, they were really, really doing well
with the scarves.
This one was only £7, this one was £8.
Not sure why, but loved this cream color.
Was actually just thinking how nice it would look
with my outfit that I was wearing.
And they did have various colors of these
that I kept just spotting around the shop.
But yeah, that was my fave.
Okay, I spotted this cropped blazer
and then I spotted the trousers with it.
And I was like, oh my God, they're horrendous.
Look how short the trousers were, not a vibe.
However, the cropped blazer, really nice.
And it did have slightly padded shoulders.
I also did it in like a blue color as well.
All the autumnal colors coming through.
I thought this skirt was actually quite cute.
Now I'm not a skirt wearer, but if you are,
I think this is a really great piece, really nice quality.
And guys, you know me, I'm always gonna show you
something that I don't like as well.
These are giving Aunt Sylvia a wedding vibe.
Didn't like them.
Did like the green court shoes though.
And then a whole wall of like UGG dupes.
So obviously I was gonna show you these.
Now I actually was wearing my UGGs on this day.
So it's quite good to see the comparison.
I will say, obviously the quality just isn't as good.
Like the fur on the inside isn't as nice.
But for six pound, you get the same kind of vibe.
Now, when it comes to boots, Primark were killing it.
I was obsessed with these cream boots.
Love the thick chunky sole on them.
Just think, oh, so statement, so nice.
They also did them in black,
which again, really, really loved.
Maybe I've got a slight buyer's regret again.
I wish I'd kind of picked up the cream ones now.
I'm looking at this back, but yeah.
Kudos to Primark for their boots.
They also had these short little beige boots,
but I was really drawn to these with the bright green sole.
I love a pop of colour, especially a pop of green.
So, oh my God, these boots are, again, buyer's regret, guys.
Kind of wish I'd picked these ones up.
And they also were coming through with their Western boots.
So if you are like a Western cowboy boot lover,
I'm trying to look for a pair right now.
They did have some short ones,
but me personally, I prefer a longer pair.
And then just showing you these green soled boots again,
because they did also have them in brown,
which I thought were really, really cute,
but I don't know.
I feel like the green ones just stole my heart.
I thought these were so, so good for Primark.
Oh, and they also had them in cream.
Okay, moving round.
Nearly at the home section now.
However, I did want to show you
a few of the little accessories.
Lots of beanie hats, which I was very happy about.
I love a nice snuggly beanie this time of year.
So these three colours were definitely my fave.
And then this blue scarf as well, which again,
kind of wish I'd picked up.
The bags, I was not impressed with at all.
So I didn't even bother looking round.
I just didn't spot anything that I liked.
So I gave the bags a little bit of a miss.
And to be fair, same with the pyjamas.
I wasn't as impressed,
and I usually love a pair of Primark pyjamas,
but I did spot these, like, underwear sets.
They were really giving me, like, Skims vibes.
They just look very, very comfortable.
So yeah, I thought these looked really nice.
Can't go to Primark without looking at the slippers,
and these were the best ones in my eyes.
They had a really thick sole, really, really nice.
And then some dupes for my white company ones
that I got recently, which I thought were cute.
On to the home section,
probably my favourite section in this Primark.
They just have some really, really cute bits.
So first of all, can we just look at how nice
this big display is of all these little stems?
Thought that was really, really nice,
and I loved this candle.
Spoiler, I did actually pick this up
because I thought it would look really,
really nice in my office.
But yeah, they just got lots of really nice little bits in.
I thought this vase with, like, the stem in
was really, really nice.
They were really, really nailing
the kind of, like, autumnal homeware pieces.
They're really, really good, I think,
with changing their home stuff to make it more seasonal.
Also, I thought this cushion was quite cute.
Also, if you are like me and you like a bit of autumn decor,
how cute is that pine cone garland they had at the top?
They were selling them, but I didn't catch the price.
I think they're about £6.
But yeah, they had lots of cute plates, bowls, dishes.
I thought this would even be quite nice,
you know, for just putting your jewellery on
next to your bed, like, bedside table,
maybe popping your rings, your earrings in there.
And these candles were just everywhere,
just in different colours.
Also loved the green.
This dining set I really loved.
Loved, like, the speckled detail on the plates.
Again, another candle.
But yeah, I just thought that was a really, really nice set.
And how cute is this, like, biscuit jar as well?
Honestly, this, for Primark, it's just so good.
I feel like all this stuff you would find in H&M home,
Zara home, they really do do well here, I think.
I mean, personally, I can't speak for the sort of longevity
of the Primark home, like, dining sets or anything.
I'm not sure if they would crack or anything
in the dishwasher.
I've personally never bought anything,
so I'm literally just going off how they look.
Primark also love a basket, don't they?
I think these are really great
for maybe keeping your bathroom, like, bathroom storage,
keeping all your bits and bobs together.
They also had some really cute soap dispensers.
These matte black ones I thought were very sassy.
Really liked them.
So yeah, was loving all these bits.
And then I did just spot this little pumpkin.
Now, personally, I'm not one for, like, ceramic pumpkins,
but if it's your cup of tea
and you like a bit of autumn decor, then there you go.
Get yourself a Primark home,
because I did think that was quite cute.
And so was this vase.
I wish I'd picked this one up.
And then I did just spot this chair,
which I thought was really nice,
really affordable at 80 pound.
Now, guys, I know it's a little bit early,
but I'm just going to show you,
because Primark did have a few of their Christmas bits in,
I spotted this candle, this Christmas Eve candle,
which smelled so, so nice.
Really, really liked it.
So yeah, I did just want to show you
a couple of little Christmassy bits
that I thought were really cute.
They had a polar bear, snowman candle.
And then, as I said, I'm not going to show you loads,
just a few little bits.
I did quite like this mini little Christmas tree.
I thought this is great for kind of
making a smaller space in your house,
just feel a little bit more Christmassy,
maybe popping it on a desk or on a table
if you haven't got room for a big tree,
or just using it in addition to your normal Christmas tree.
Look at this little dog for the Christmas tree as well.
So cute.
They also had some more rustic-y bits in, I've noticed.
They had this star, this Christmas tree.
I thought very, very cute for Primark.
And I spotted this bauble set,
which I thought was so, so nice.
Again, something I feel you'd see more
in maybe like a garden centre or something.
Okay, guys, I've just got back in the car,
had some lovely lunch, but thought I'd do a quick debrief.
I'm going to be honest.
I think I might be at the point,
and this might be quite hardcore,
but I think I might be at the point where I'm done,
where I'm done with Primark.
One thing I will say is they did have
the odd really nice thing, which I really rated,
but the thing that made Primark so great
was that it was so affordable.
Everything has gone up in price so much
that your bargains that were quite exciting
to have a look for,
and finding your Zara dupes and things like that,
it no longer applies,
because they're pretty much rivaling H&M Zara
for their prices with some of their better stuff.
So I was just like, I don't,
didn't see the point in going there,
but I had a look around the home section.
To be fair, they did have some really nice bits
in the home part.
I think that's where they excel for me,
in the Birmingham one.
I did pick up a new candle for my office.
Did I need any more candles?
I don't know, but I have been saying
I wanted a nice little candle for my office.
So just to show you the candle that I bought.
So this is the one I got.
I just love the kind of autumnal colour scheme of it.
So it's, I can't even see, cedarwood vanilla.
It just smells so fresh and lovely,
but I thought for this time of year, for this season,
this would just look really nice on my office desk.
To be honest, I think I felt like I needed to buy something
just because I was in there,
and I thought this can't be a wasted trip,
but I did have a good look around.
But yeah, it just doesn't hit the same spot.
What do you think?
You work there.
Why have you put your prices on?
It's all your fault.
It is getting really expensive.
It's definitely getting more expensive than it used to be.
But I used to go in there and get quite a big candle.
Yeah, I feel like you used to be able to go to Primark.
If you were to spend a hundred pound in Primark,
you'd come out with bags of stuff and you'd be buzzing.
Whereas now, some of that nicer stuff that we liked.
Just a couple of pieces.
You've got like three, four items
and that's it, you're up at a hundred pounds.
That's like H and M, sorry, the light's just gone out.
That's H and M prices.
So yeah, it didn't do it for me,
but I hope you guys enjoyed coming around,
having a look at me, having a look at me,
having a look with, having a look at me,
having a look with me.
But I think it's time to go home, isn't it?
Yeah.
We're very full and we've had a lovely lunch.
It's time to head back home.
Don't mind me guys, just popping on to end this vlog
because I realised when I got home,
I didn't actually film anything.
So I really hope you enjoyed coming shopping
with me to Primark.
I actually feel like when I finished filming that vlog,
I think I was so full from food
and just wanting to get home.
I feel like I was a bit grouchy by the end of that video,
but I wasn't.
And there was actually some decent stuff in Primark,
I will say.
But yeah, prices definitely gone up.
But anyway guys, I'm not going to repeat myself.
I'm going to leave this vlog here.
So as I said, I hope you enjoyed it.
Please do leave a cheeky like or a comment if you did.
What do you want?
I've just got Desi and Bolly here just waiting for me.
They know they're going on a W-A-L-K in a minute, don't ya?
So I know, bless him.
Anyway guys, as always, I'll see you in the next video.
Bye.
