THAILAND ประเทศไทย \\ KRABI: TIGER CAVE TEMPLE & FREE BEACHES // VLOG #36

ประเทศไทย The overnight train from Bangkok to Surat Thani is the way to go...as long as you book a 1st Class Sleeper like we did. It's cheap, secure, private and comfortable. The bus from Surat Thani to Krabi was, to be clear, crap. We'll need to do a better job of booking that next time but, regardless, we arrived in Krabi Thailand ready to explore! We booked a really cheap private room at a hostel in Krabi Town and, while we stayed the whole week, we did consider finding other accommodations more than once. The weather was determined to keep us from exploring, but the good part about having an uncomfortable room is there is no reason to stay in, even when it's storming, so we hit the road and explored Krabi. Krabi Town itself is a cute little town with gorgeous mountain views along the riverside. The evening market moves around but always provides an amazing selection of street food ranging from fried chicken gizzards to coconut pancakes to the the best Phad Thai we've ever had. We discovered a free beach that is every bit as good (if not better) than the over=touristed pay beaches in the area, got some great food in Ao Nang, and, for the culmination of our visit, walked the 1200 steps up the the Tiger Cave Temple for an experience that was simply breathtaking (in several ways).
