Consecutive fires occur in China during the Lunar New Year

On January 23, another fire occurred at Sangu Bridge in Lanxi, Hunan province, dozens of fire trucks were dispatched to fight the fire.

Under the ravages of the pandemic, one of the largest hospitals in China—Shanghai hospital was still overcrowded even during the Lunar New Year.

On the morning of the Lunar New Year's Eve, January 21, the emergency department of Shanghai hospital still had a lot of patients, the wards in the hospital were overcrowded, many patients had to stay in temporary beds in the corridors, and some had to sit in wheelchairs.

On the 2nd day of the Lunar New Year on January 23, a man who took a video at Shanghai No. 6 Hospital said that there were many sick elderly there, the doctors had to work 24/7 and the aisles were full of people lying down.

One netizen expressed that, when the new year comes, hospitals in Shanghai are still full of people, and the elderly have to sleep in the corridors. This is so tragic!

On January 22, a Twitter user shared a video with the content that the pandemic has gotten worse, the ICU of Shanghai hospital is like purgatory for the sick. Doctors have to work even when sick themselves, long queues of people lined up outside the funeral home. The scene is exactly the same as in Wuhan three years ago.

The video shows that the emergency department of Shanghai hospital is extremely busy, every day a large number of patients are brought into the halls and corridors of the hospital. A patient at Renji Hospital, Shanghai, said that the pandemic situation in Shanghai is very serious and a lot of authentic information has been blocked by the government.

Shanghai people also revealed that many academicians, university professors, high-ranking officials as well as people of other classes died in Shanghai. All the funeral homes in Shanghai are now piled up with bodies lined up for cremation.
