China's Olympic swimming team tested for drugs 200 times, US launches investigation

The 2024 Olympics are scheduled to take place in Paris, France, from July 26 to August 11. However, the Chinese swimming team has been involved in a doping scandal. A total of 31 athletes from the team were subjected to nearly 200 drug tests conducted by the International Testing Agency (ITA) within just 10 days. Prior to the Tokyo Olympics, 23 Chinese swimmers had tested positive for drugs seven months before the event but were still permitted to compete. Due to this history, the ITA is now keeping a close watch on Chinese swimmers.
