We are an ADVENTUROUS family of 6 who lost our son to SIDS in 2014. Our biggest regret was not having family videos of him when he was here and is why we started doing daily vlogs!
Thomas is a 2X North American Champion in his kick-boxing career and Ashley is a network-marketing professional.
Together we have 6 year old Identical twins- Simon & Cohen. Our son Miloh was born 12/12/13 and passed away 5/20/14. We were blessed with our Rainbow baby (and 4th son) Ezrah this year on 03/02/17 and we have loved sharing our every day journey with our followers and are looking forward to where this journey takes us!
Hey guys, it is five o'clock.
I have not even started the vlog
and I have had probably the busiest day of my life.
But I swear those days, hold on, hold on, hold on.
But I swear those are the days that are,
like I just forget to pick up the camera
and talk about what I'm doing.
So, so far today I have gone shopping to a few stores
for my mom's surprise birthday.
I don't think I've even talked about that
but we are having a surprise party for her
for her 60th birthday on Friday, which is tomorrow.
So I'm doing all of those last minute things.
I am basically baking every single thing
that we are gonna have.
So I have a lot to do now.
Me and my dad just ran some like
last minute invitations around.
We have like a big invite thing on Facebook
but for those people that are like neighbors
that maybe didn't see it,
we just ran like extra invitations around
and literally I ran in the dead of summer.
It's about 100 degrees outside
and I'm wearing like full long,
I don't know why I'm dressed the way I'm dressed right now.
So I am dying of heat right now
and our house is 66 and it feels so good.
Like I wanted to cry when I walked in the house.
It's so nice but I will probably be baking
for the next about four hours or so.
I'm making our family's infamous sugar cookie recipe
and I'm doubling it.
So it's basically gonna make about 500 cookies
and then I'm making like chocolate chip,
oatmeal, butterscotch cookies that are so yummy
and then I'm making her a cake and it's cute.
It's like a little, I'm making a two-tiered cake.
I don't know if you guys knew this
but I used to make wedding cakes.
I actually made our wedding cake.
We never ended up using it.
I had to throw it away.
It was sad but that's another story.
So I did that, something else I used to do.
Back in the day I took like cake baking school
and so I know how to make some cakes
but they're just time consuming
so sometimes I just, I'd rather buy them than make them
but for this one I am going to make it.
That's catching up on everything
that we've done so far today.
Hi dude, what are you doing?
You playing peek-a-boo?
Are you playing peek-a-boo?
Wanna say hi?
Look at you.
He sat in the back of the car with me and my dad
as we ran around the neighborhood so, huh.
He wasn't having too much fun back there.
As far as Thomas goes, I will have him
kind of share how he's feeling today
but he just ran to sit in the steam room,
the sauna at the gym.
So I don't know, those are two different things
but he's sitting in one of them
and I think that's them pulling in
so I will have him kind of share how he's feeling today.
Last night was pretty scary.
We almost took him again to the emergency room
so yeah, I will let him fill you guys in on that.
So for my mom's birthday I wanted to get a six and a zero
to make like 60, you know, sugar cookies
and so the only place I could find,
I like checked Joann's and Michael's
and they were all sold out of these boxes
that have numbers in them, which is so annoying.
Like I'd rather just buy a six and a flippin' zero
but they did not have that.
So and as you can see here,
they don't even have a zero in here
but I get them out.
You guys, this is the size.
Like these are so little.
I'm like, are you kidding me?
I think I had to pay 10 bucks for this little thing
and then I had to get an O, which is a little bigger
so that's what we're working with
and I'm not too happy about that
but there will be more cookies, I guess.
And I'll show you everything else.
So I'm going to be making,
actually, let's see, where is those pans?
I used to have a six inch one.
I had to go pick up a new one
but I do have a ton of different sizes.
I think I'm gonna go with,
this size is the base and I'm gonna make two of them
and then two of these on top.
So I'm excited for you guys to see
what I do with that cake.
And then this is for the sugar cookies
and then I'm making her a red velvet
and I always just get the mix, whatever.
And then, yeah, so, oh,
and then butterscotch chocolate chip cookies.
This is just some of the stuff that we're making.
Oatmeal.
I've kind of missed baking
so the last little bit,
like anytime I've had a chance to bake something,
I've been baking instead of buying
and I've been having fun doing that, so.
Wish me luck because I do have a lot to do
and that's probably,
I'm just gonna spend the rest of the night
here in the kitchen.
What is it?
A chocolate chip cookie and something to eat.
You got me a chocolate chip cookie?
Oh, a killer cross and a, what's his name?
Is that Kirby?
No, not Kirby, it's a different guy from Kirby.
Come on, you're gonna let me have this?
No, I said, oh, I don't.
But anyway, that's for,
is that for his birthday?
Coley, come here.
Dude, that's the best birthday present I've ever gotten.
Oh my gosh.
You're so sweet, honey.
You wanna share it with me?
Cole, what kind of cookie is that?
What kind of chocolate chip cookie is it?
Jack Jack?
Jack Jack.
Oh, Cole, you have the sweetest heart.
Where did you get your heart from?
From your birthday?
It is 11.22 and I am still in here baking cookies.
This is what I got so far.
And then, oh, hey, baby, how you feeling?
Feeling like crap.
I got, this is two rolls of sugar cookies,
but they need to sit in the fridge overnight.
And then here is the frosting ready to go for tomorrow.
Now that I see the colors together,
that looks like a gender reveal party,
but it's definitely not.
Look at that, pink and blue.
That's kind of funny.
But I like, this is not okay
that my kitchen looks like this this late at night,
but babe, I literally haven't stopped.
And I have so much more to do tomorrow.
My feet are killing me from standing all day.
Are they swollen?
Not to take away from your foot, I know.
Are they swollen?
No, I meant, are they swollen from being out all night?
Probably.
My heel is hurting really bad,
but let's see what's going on.
You guys wanna see my nail stars mix up?
Yeah.
Can you even tell the difference,
or do they look the same?
Oh yeah, they look totally the same.
But I will tell you guys, these are all,
what's this one?
What's that?
Those are just scars.
Those are, that, in the camera,
that looks like it's fresh,
but that actually is a scar, you're right.
Okay, the only thing is, as you can see here,
the doctor actually traced around where it was,
and it's actually, the redness is starting to go up,
and it's around the whole backside now.
Yesterday, it looked better,
but honestly, over here, now it's swollen.
It's just not as red.
Geez, babe.
Okay, that's gross.
Look at him, just denting his skin,
so you can kinda see how fluffy it is.
It looks like the skin's shedding, look at it.
Yeah.
Dark, dark, look at that color.
Yeah, it's really dark.
That's obviously what's infected, for sure.
Old Doc McStuffins, don't, get out of here.
Old Doc McStuffins told me that if it's not,
if it hasn't improved by Friday,
that I needed to come back in.
That's tomorrow.
Now, here's my thing.
My body feels like, on a scale of 10 being like,
really in a lot of pain,
and one being feeling great,
I feel like an eight at nighttime and in the morning,
but in the middle of the day, I feel fine.
Yeah, it's weird.
So.
You know what though, babe?
It's because, I think it might be,
think about it, first thing in the morning,
and at night is when you take your.
Amoxicillin.
Yeah, your antibiotics.
But here's my thing.
I know the antibiotics aren't making me have a fever,
so why do I get a fever at nighttime and in the morning?
Someone help me with that.
As Simon and Cohen would say, comment down below.
Good morning, we are literally running out the door.
I have so much crap I gotta go do,
but the boys are going to grandma's school right now,
so we can go run some of these errands.
Ha ha ha.
Ah!
Where you going?
Bye.
Bye bye.
That was a good look.
I've been standing for about four hours,
straight frosting cookies.
So I'll show you guys kinda how these look right now.
Let me just warn you,
the look of these cookies is supposed to be messy, okay?
So I don't do those perfectly frosted cookies,
but I have been frosting cookies all day.
So here we got a whole bunch of 60s all over.
There is about, I think I counted about 50 on each plate.
And there's a lot more still that I have ready to go
when these kind of empty out at the party.
Look how cute these balloons are.
These are like a rose gold, the numbers are.
And it's just gonna be so dang cute.
I'm so excited to set it up.
This is going to be on the top of the cake.
And here's another little sneak peek of the top of the cake.
I feel like right now it's just stressful.
I'm trying to make sure I have enough plates
and bowls and dishes and everything that I need
for the party.
And then we also have this whole thing going over here.
This protein is definitely not coming.
But we went and got, my mom's favorite chips
in the entire world are from Bella's.
So we got, I mean, a huge massive box.
And then her favorite, salsa, is from there.
So that's what we got.
They fill up these jugs and you can just go to their window,
drive through their window, and pick it up.
Oh, hey!
Thank you.
Yeah, don't let him go by the balloons though.
So don't go out that way.
And probably the best part of all of today
is we've been watching episode after episode
after episode of, name that show, name that show.
That's Funs, y'all!
I was like really zoomed in, so that was like.
Okay, you guys, here we go.
My leg on a scale of one to 10 has been
like one being no pain, 10 being
I need to go to the hospital.
I feel like I've been sitting the past few days
at a consistent 12 until I take my Tylenol
and then the pain goes away, obviously.
But no, for real, today it's finally
like pain-wise is going down.
And today's the first day that I haven't been
in too much pain to like walk.
So I still push through and walk anyway,
because I'm dumb.
But I haven't gone to the gym the past few days
just because of that pain.
But I'm like psyched that it's finally getting better.
Like yesterday and the day before,
I was so worried that they diagnosed my leg wrong.
Like gave me the wrong antibiotics for it,
because you have to have specific antibiotics
for specific problems.
So I've been like stressing about it.
Like, dude, I cannot lose my leg.
Like, I don't know what I would do.
I seriously would have to like be overly active
if I lost my leg to make up for losing the leg.
You get what I'm saying?
And you know what they say,
you won't like women marry their father in a way.
You know what I'm saying?
And men marry their mother.
And men marry their mother,
because I'll tell you what,
when my mom couldn't find me,
stop it, where are you?
And if I'm at the gym a little bit too long,
I get that phone call from Ash, stop it.
Oh, I'm glad you think so highly of me.
My mom's a saint, dude.
Mommy, you's a saint.
Have I ever sounded like that?
Like that is so witchy.
Like you sound like it's grown.
No.
Like raspy.
Babe, don't waste a good chip.
Brayden, come here.
She wasted the good chip on me.
Good luck, Cruz.
Where are you?
Oh my gosh, babe, you did such a good job.
Don't even get it started on the 6-0.
Oh, I won.
It's because I just keep tripping it.
But I think it's okay.
Okay, boys, take your Happy Meals over there.
Who's that?
I'm sitting here editing the vlog,
and I'm like, oh, we didn't close it out.
So, that's what I'm here to do.
I also want to just apologize, you guys.
I feel like we've been really kind of sucking
with our vlogs lately,
with getting them up at the same time.
But I hope you guys can understand,
this month has been crazy,
and I really wasn't expecting it.
If I were, if I was expecting it to be as crazy as it is,
I think I would have filmed some videos ahead of time
and had them ready.
But as you guys probably remember in previous videos,
so my cousin Eric moved in the same time
one of Thomas' friends flew in.
And then right when he left,
my cousins from California,
which was a family of five,
came to stay with us for a week.
And so, it was just like nonstop.
It was my mom's birthday on Monday,
my mom and uncle's birthday on Monday,
and then Thomas' birthday on Wednesday,
and then my mom's surprise party on Friday.
And so, it's just literally been crazy.
Plus the Fourth of July.
Oh my gosh, I just like,
I don't think we've ever had this crazy of a July before,
because we don't always do like huge parties like this,
and we don't always have like guesting with us
at the same time.
So, it's just been crazy.
I hope you guys can understand.
I think from here on out,
it should be pretty not so chaotic around here.
So, we should be back to the, you know,
normal uploads every single day of the week.
I think for a little bit,
I might be just doing Monday through Friday,
and I hope you guys can understand that too.
And babe, stop it.
Get away from me.
No.
Thank you guys as always for watching,
and we also would like to say hello
to any new subscribers out there.
Let us know below in the comments if you guys are new.
