Back in Seoul South Korea for the first time in a VERY long time for Chris and this is Kate's first ever trip to South Korea. Kate rapidly decides that the Korean subway is the easiest to use of anyplace we've been. We walk you through use of the stored value card for to get the best prices. To start off our tour of South Korea we stay in the tourist hotspot of Myeongdong at the Hotel Mido which has super friendly staff and a pretty comfortable room. No time to hang out in the room, we head straight to Namdaemun Market to sample some street food and see if there is any shopping to be done. We rapidly find my favorite Korean street food, Tteokbokki / Dok Boki ...rice cakes in spicy sauce, YUM! But a little too spicy for Kate. We wander the beautiful streets of Seoul and find lines of locals waiting for food then hop in and try whatever they're eating. We happen across a random alley full of places serving Bibimbap and can't resist ordering some along with a big serving of Kimchi. We gorge ourselves on street food for days and still haven't tried everything. Despite the massive amount of wonderful street food, Kate has to try a South Korean Big Mac and it winds up making #1 on her list of best Big Macs in the world. We're wandering around the streets and Kate hears some music and wants to check it out. We wind up at a massive free EXO concert, one of the biggest Kpop bands out there. What a cool life.

Let's go see what that is, she says.
Next thing you know, we're in a K-pop boy band concert.
I made it back to Seoul. Kate made it back to Seoul for the first time.
Subway in Seoul is super easy to use. Now it's Kate's favorite.
There are some subtle differences from some of the other places we've been, like the required preparedness.
Most of the places we've been haven't had to have gas masks available in case of an attack.
And here we are. This is our room.
We're staying at the Hotel Mido Myeongdong.
The staff so far is amazing and the room is super nice. Dad's coming too.
You know us. First thing we do is head to a market and look for some food.
So we're in Namdaemun Market, which conveniently enough is about right across the street from our hotel.
That's why we picked it. It's sprayed with cinnamon.
Nice.
I don't know what it is, but it's fantastic.
Cinnamon toast from that lovely stand right there.
That was 1,000 won, so a little less than a buck.
Thank you.
Gamsahamnida.
Oh yeah, that's it.
Oh, they're hot. Those are so hot to sit.
These are my favorite noodle type thing in the whole world.
Gamsahamnida.
Oh, it's boiling hot.
But we saw this, we saw the line.
Oh, that's good. That's awesome.
Vegetables are warm.
It's like, I don't know, I don't know what to say.
But it's fantastic. Try one.
This just goes on for blocks and blocks.
And this is only one.
So cool to be back in Seoul.
It's like bibimbap alley.
I kind of love the food in Seoul.
That's your first kimchi in Korea.
Very good.
This is the underground mall at Namdaemun.
A little bit of absolutely everything here.
We had to get our coats. It was getting a little cool.
But now we're out just doing what's best to be done around here,
which is just wander around the alleys and streets.
Kate's trying some of the biggest gyoza ever known to man.
And good.
Check these things out.
It's an egg with almond, peanut, and sunflower seed on it.
That's yours.
Good though.
We're in Korea, a new country, so she's got to try a Big Mac.
Oh, the cheese is all melted.
And it's cold.
Might be the top of my list.
This is a good one.
Seriously, how does she look like that?
Sausages.
I got stuffed sausage on a stick.
I'm happy.
Click the thumbs up and subscribe.
Now that was good.
