🧨4th OF JULY SPECIAL | Hughes Family Vlog🇺🇸

Hey guys, happy 4th of July. It's been forever since I've done like a vlog style video, but I love having these kind of videos to look back on as my kids are growing older. So the first thing we're doing today is we're going to go to the parade. We always go to the Charity's Parade in North Ogden. I've been to that parade every single year since I've been born. So we go to the North Ogden Parade, then we go to the carnival just like right up the street, and then we're having a barbecue at our house. And I'll probably upload this tomorrow just so it's kind of relevant still. I don't know. I don't know if people want to watch this like a week later. So anyway, we're going to head to the parade and get our day started. So after the parade, our kids were just way too hot to go to the carnival. So we actually skipped that this year. And we came home and just relaxed a little bit. And then my family came over for a barbecue. And unfortunately, I did not pick up my camera at all during the barbecue. And we had so much fun. So I'm so bummed, but I'm always trying to live in the moment. So sometimes I forget to pick up my dang camera. So Thomas barbecued for us. This is a little bit of some shots before people got here. And then I did pick up my camera when my brother was reading off some really funny laws. If you Google like ridiculous laws in other states, they are so funny. So I did get some clips of him reading some of those. And then after that, we headed to the fireworks. It's illegal. Oh, this is in California. It's illegal to whistle for a lost canary before 7am. Oh my gosh. In Arkansas, you can't honk your horn near a sandwich shop after 9pm. And then in Connecticut, a pickle must be able to bounce. In Iowa, you can't throw a brick onto a highway. I hope not. I was planning on it. In Kentucky, a woman cannot marry the same man four times. In Louisiana, it's illegal to send a surprise pizza. Wait, what are you doing over there? Promise you can never live in Maryland. Because sleeveless shirts are banned in public parks. Oh no. For real? So it's 1016 and the fireworks show has not started yet. So we don't know what to do. We're gonna wait and see what happens. We can see other ones going off around but we're all kind of wondering the same thing. Because normally by now, it would be over. Do you think they're going to cancel it? And we're not at the right park so we're not even going to know if it gets canceled. We'll see. Well, this will definitely be a 4th of July that we will never forget. Our city fireworks did not go off and there were no fireworks that night. So we were so bummed. There were so many people waiting for the fireworks show. There were thousands of people that come and watch this show in North Ogden. But I guess the circuit board fried. That's what I heard anyway from the city's page. So I don't know if they're going to reschedule them or what. But we came home and we lit some sparklers and we called it a night.
