We roll south from Adelaide to check "Drive Australia's Great Ocean Road" off the bucket list. We stop in gorgeous Victor Harbor and charming Granite Island for yet another of South Australia's Great Short Walks. From there we visit Strathylbyn along the Southern Ocean Drive with amazing heritage houses. We also visit Coonalpyn to see beautiful painted grain silos before heading to Naracoorte to visit the UNESCO World Heritage listed Naracoorte Caves which are definitely worth a visit. Naracoorte itself was also very charming and we really wish we would have been able to spend a couple days there. Our next stop is Mount Gambier to visit the incredible Blue Lake whose tones of blue certainly defy nature. After a short walk on the beach in Portland we continue on to amazing Port Fairy which has been listed as the Most Livable Town on the Planet. After hiking around Griffiths Island we head to the world famous Cheese World for some of Australia's best cheese sampling. We close out this leg of our journey with a hike through the Tower Hill Reserve where we see wild Emu and Koala.

We're in Victor Harbor, a charming little town about an hour south of Adelaide.
This is Granite Island. Granite Island is strangely enough made of granite.
The tram is supposed to be really cool. It's horse-drawn. It starts here and ends there.
If you want to do something touristy, it might be worth it.
Our next stop on our trip is Strathaville. It's known for its heritage houses along this
beautiful river. Heritage House is an old house that's on a registry. We're in Kunalpan and look
at the silo. Wow. That sure beats the world's biggest ball of twine. We're doing the Nars today.
It's a World Heritage Site.
The long, extinct, short-faced kangaroo.
This may be the origin of the legend of the drop bear.
If you're ever in Narrow Creek, you've got to spend a couple of nights there.
It is a darling little town and they have a big man-made lake pool that is wonderful.
The boards around it alone will make you want to go. It's free.
And then you can come out here. The Victoria Cave Tour is definitely worth the price.
It's a wonderful place. I wish we had more time.
We're in Mount Gambier. Gambier. Gambier. Gambier.
And we are exploring the Blue Lake. This blue is unbelievable. It's amazing.
Yet another royal view. After picnic lunch, we're going to take a walk around Valley Lake.
Watch your step.
Our next stop is a little town of Port Ferry. We're going to go to the Frommer's Market.
The town of Port Ferry is supposed to be the most livable town on the planet.
We're going to go visit our friend Simon Norell.
And look, we found truffle. Slummy. Norell's gonna love us.
I found my dream home. We're exploring Griffith Island in Port Ferry.
The water here is crystal clear. It would be amazing to scuba dive this.
Do we need to explain ourselves? Cheese world. That's it.
Today we're going to explore Tower Hill Nature Reserve.
There's a lot of beautiful trails and animals here.
We made it to the top. Look at this view.
Somewhere Fifi is losing her mind.
There's koalas just sleeping right there.
Just, you know, emus walking along the track.
These freaks. Just wild emus. How cool.
