Hey everybody, I just wanted to share with you guys
a quick way you can make your porch really festive
for this fall slash Halloween.
This took me less than five minutes,
probably about two minutes to do all of this.
And I just wanted to show you guys a quick tutorial
on how you can do a really inexpensive porch design.
Very simple and extremely festive.
One thing I will be adding when it is more into the season,
we will be putting a bunch of haystacks back here
with pumpkins just stacked on different levels.
But yeah, I love how this turned out.
And if you guys wanna see how to get this look,
then just keep watching.
Okay, so some of the stuff you're gonna need
is this big thing of moss.
You can just get this at any craft store.
And this one was only, it's only $5.99,
and I think it was half price.
So for this much moss, this will easily cover
the whole area of the porch.
You're also gonna want several different pumpkins,
varieties of sizes, and also just different veggies.
Right now, these are all fake ones that I've just had.
When real pumpkins come out, and they're in the stores,
or you can go to a pumpkin patch,
I will be replacing these with real ones.
I just wanna show you guys, just so you have an idea,
right now, while you're planning for maybe
what you want your fall porch to look like.
But something else you're gonna want
is just different sizes, so just small ones.
If you can't find any white or green pumpkins,
I would just use craft paint and just paint them.
I've done that several times.
I've even painted some gold before, and I love that.
So you can get really creative
with how you want the pumpkins to look.
And then the third thing you're gonna need
is just some different twigs or branches.
I got a big one of these at the store at Hobby Lobby.
But I might be cutting them into just different,
you know, you can just break them and cut them off
so you can be sticking them different places.
But you're just gonna want a few different colors
for whatever look you're going for.
So those are all, that's everything
that you're gonna need for this project.
Okay, guys, so what you're gonna wanna do
is just dump it out of the bag
and just pull it all the way down your porch
so it's the full length.
And then you're just gonna be pulling it apart
as you go on each stair.
I like to make mine a little bit of a messy look.
I don't want it to be exactly even going down each step.
So I'm just gonna be pulling it apart randomly.
You do not need to be perfect.
This is a very easy, simple step.
Just pull the moss apart.
Okay, so something else you could do
if your porch is like super wide,
you could do this at both sides.
I just think for my porch, it's pretty narrow.
So I wanted to make sure that there's places to step
and walk on here.
But I also just ran it down onto the brick pavers down here.
So this is just kind of the look
that I want it to look like.
It's gonna be pretty messy.
Then I'll just, from here on,
I'm just gonna shove pumpkins and little sticks
in different places.
I decided to leave my garland just one long piece
instead of cutting it up.
And I decided to just kind of S it down the stairs
so that I could be putting pumpkins
on either side of the garland.
And I felt like that could make a really good look.
Plus, it would be really, really fast and easy
and it helped direct me where I should put the pumpkins.
So there really is no rhyme or reason
as to where I place the pumpkins.
As you see, it kind of moves them around.
But what I don't want is a bunch of the same color
right next to each other.
So that's really the only thing that I had
kind of guiding me as to where to put different ones.
I didn't want big, huge ones all next to each other.
And I didn't want the same color.
So that's just kind of how I decided
to place them down the stairs.
But really, just whatever you think looks good
is how you should do it.
