Good morning from Malaga, Spain. We're waiting on a bus to go to the train station. We're gonna hop
on our third mode of transportation since we've been here and take a train from Malaga to Sevilla.
Ready? Yep. This is Bethany's first time ever on a train. She's excited. This is the first time
I've ever seen security to get on a train. It doesn't seem quite as stringent as the airport but
yep. We made sure to give ourselves enough time to enjoy some coffee beforehand.
This is the cleanest and most spacious train station I've ever seen.
We made it. Something we did not realize about Spanish trains is that you should most definitely
book them as far ahead as possible. They get more and more expensive and fill up the closer you get
to your travel date. This is the nicest train I think I've ever been on. It's also the most
expensive. Oh yeah. Four train tickets one way $118. We purchased all of these train tickets
online through the Renfe website. This train journey is going to take us three hours.
So dad got to take a nap. It was fine. The bathrooms were nice. It is what you expected.
Um it was better than what I expected. So we have made it to beautiful Sevilla. We are going to go
to a bar and wait until our Airbnb is ready. We can't check in until three. However today is
Constitution Day and it's a national holiday here and we learned that yesterday. So hopefully things
are open. If not we might be wandering for a little longer than we would like to. The buses
used to make me really anxious but now that we have GPS on our phone it's just so simple and I
speak English.
We were just saying how we understand the buses now and we clearly don't.
But it's nice because you can ask the bus driver and he'll let you know if you're going in the
right direction or not. Still Euro 40 in this city and we're on our way. We don't actually know
where this bus is taking us so we're just looking on the map and we're gonna hit the
button when we think we're within walking distance of our Airbnb. It's a good plan.
Well we made it. I'm not quite sure if we're anywhere near Airbnb
but we're in the area that we want to be at. So I'd say that's a success.
The city is beautiful. We've seen so many cool things already. We're heading towards Plaza Nuevo
which is close to where our Airbnb is and lots of restaurants and stuff.
We stopped at some restaurant near our Airbnb. We are waiting for them to tell us that we can
check in but for now tapas and beer as always. Bethany ordered cod salad and we thought it would
be a regular green salad with cod on top like a caesar salad with chicken. Nope it's more like
tuna salad but with bread it's still really good. Amber and I ordered hake nuggets. Fish nuggets.
Hake. Let's give these things a gander. They look really good. You got something hard.
Did you get something hard? You can hear it if you chew on it right? No. I didn't want to say
but I bit into it too. Oh you did too? My first two pieces were perfect. All right I got a weird
spot I think. Maybe I'll stick. Otherwise it's delicious. I don't know what that was. I will stick
to my lettuce. We finally got check-in instructions to the Airbnb. We're done with lunch so let's go
check it out. I've heard it's supposed to be a pretty nice one. As a Christmas present to Nathan
and I, Bethany and Kristen have paid extra for the Airbnb that we were about to enter here
in just a few seconds. It's $142 per night. Far above mine and Nathan's budget. It is so nice and
you're gonna see exactly why it was worth it. Neither Bethany or Nathan have actually seen
this Airbnb so it's a complete surprise to them. It's for sure the nicest I've ever stayed in and
it'll probably be the nicest I stay in for a very long time. I'm excited to see it. So thank you
Bethany and Kristen. We really appreciate it and I'm glad you're here to enjoy it with us.
This one's cute. Nothing in there? There's no key in our lockbox. Problem in Sevilla.
There's also like five lockboxes but how many of them could have that code?
I think we have to head upstairs.
It's like a castle. It's just pretty. It's very beautiful. Beyond beautiful. I'm gonna try
really hard to like take my time and show you guys but we'll see what happens when you uh
we'll see what comes out when you guys see. Just look at our chandelier. They're in the dog house.
You guys aren't letting me film properly. Say foot please. Stop and don't make noise.
Even the locks and all of the windows are really unique.
The layout of this place alone is just crazy. There's so much detail in like every corner
above the doorways looking up underneath things. Can you see out here? Yeah.
Apparently we took too long to find a place to eat for dinner.
What is your name? Mariano.
Oh yeah! Later that evening we met some very friendly locals and had a great first night in Sevilla.
