SPICY ICHIRAN RAMEN on VALENTINE'S DAY in Tokyo Japan

Oh my god, are you okay? Oh You guys alright, that's a kind of nasty fall. I'm going to Tokyo today. It's been a I feel like you know, it's good I'm enjoying my time here That's been fun. I think maybe a couple more days and maybe about a car drive around That would've been really amazing, but it's not gonna be a very smooth trip I gotta fly over to Tokyo and then I don't have a place to go so I can't check into my air B&B So 4 p.m. I arrived at noon Best cereal with Hokkaido milk would just be epic Mmm cereal with the creamiest most delicious milk in the world This is awesome I'm not even hungry right now, but I paid for three breakfast buffets and I used none of it So before I left, the Asian in me just like will not let me leave I mean, there's good food at the airport. It's good ramen I'd rather go eat at the airport, but the Asian in me just will not let me leave until I at least get something so Say hello to a $30 bowl of cereal. Even with the Hokkaido milk though It doesn't taste like a $30 bowl of cereal Tastes more like regret I knew I shouldn't have pre-paid for breakfast One last dummy check So you know me I'm a dummy Walking human popsicle The longest time I thought I was walking by a robot. This is actually you can find an umbrella, huh? Only in Japan, right? In the hood, I guess I'm in the hood now. Alright, this is where I'm gonna be holed up for the next three weeks What it's my first time staying at a like a longer term air B&B in Tokyo Not too shabby, huh? Got a little kitchen here Nice sink and stove. I can do some cooking, my bed Got some towels Got a balcony with absolute zero view, but it has a little chair. I could sit outside Yeah, everything's clean and tidy. Super nice. Washing machine shower Separate room for the toilet Walk-in closet. Alright, not too shabby a place. I will be here a while. So like I said about three weeks. It was actually gonna be for longer I was gonna stay in Japan just indefinitely but With the whole virus situation going on and I have a couple speaking engagements back in the States so I figure I'm gonna just stay the three weeks till the end of the month and Gonna head back and then I don't know what's gonna happen. So we'll see. Told you this is gonna be a transition year for me So I'm not really sure what's going on. What I am sure is that I did not eat all day All I had was that $30 bowl of regret this morning. So I'm gonna unpack a little bit and meet my friend for dinner I'm at the anime district about to meet my friend Stella and then I think she's taking me to some yakiniku. Rolled meats That's exactly what I want right now, even though I've been having that for the last couple of days Starving today. All I had was that stupid bowl of cereal I gotta put something in my stomach and this of course is the anime district. So we should be coming up on some Yep, there they are Just standing here by the subway waiting for my friend a bunch of dudes came up I think they were from like Europe or something. Maybe Germans. I'm not really sure they come up and they're like, hey, hey, man We're all the maid cafes Those girls those anime girls let's make it do I give off a I Frequent maid cafe kind of vibe do it. I mean you look at me like is this like That's the guy that goes to make cafes a lot. I mean I googled it for them, but I didn't know Big character of meat. Oh, I couldn't get in they were too busy So we're going to a second place This is a to-go place. Oh, this is good I'm gonna get this set has pretty much everything on here. One thing I love about the Japanese language There's so many nouns. You don't have to really think about you just say it sort of Japanese accent like hot to be hot to tea Hot to tea hot hot hot tea hot hot tea. Sorry, but yeah, I can order hot to tea Not cold the tea Hmm I got the most tender beef, but this is just a starter push Huh almost dropped it I would have picked it up off the floor ate it Every time I eat Wagyu So juicy Melt in your mouth because it was created to juice just that That is a soft piece of loin. You just don't want to burn it. You rather undercook it a little bit. Don't burn it All right, this is interesting grilling a piece of intestine in Japanese Cuisine they use like fatty intestines. These things are like super super good What? massive piece of chewy fat Hmm sweet prawn Definitely more value at an all-you-can-eat place. If you're spending 80 bucks You gotta get both Hmm. I think I did it pretty well. That's a good fatty tongue. Hey, check this out. I got a beef tongue That is a tender creamy rice dish Hmm pina colada With fruit Not bad way to end this meal I'll definitely say this place. It's good. It's pricey I was still like all you can eat just because I eat a lot but for most people this is probably good enough for you You're gonna be full. I'm gonna go look for more food after that. Whoa, we're gonna go to the shooting gallery thing Whatever they're shooting. So we're at this airsoft cafe. We're gonna shoot stuff. Do not point your gun at people I'm out. I'm at the Roppongi neighborhood It's one of my favorite areas in Tokyo because they got this amazing cafe where you can just work There's tons of good. Oh my god. Look how cute look at that little pup. Oh, that's so adorable That's so adorable. Oh, that is the cutest puppy That's crazy Today it's gonna do a bunch of work on my laptop. So that's why I came here starving I haven't had anything to eat all day and then just walking and I see that How do I get there? Not a single person here this place to myself I'll check it out. This is new smoke flavor stewed pork. Hello Amazing ramen genie booth. We meet again. Dashi strong richness Whole clove of garlic even though it's Valentine's Day today got no plans to kiss anybody Thank you. I know a lot of people hate on Ichiran. I love this place like This is my guilty pleasure ramen of Japan I don't feel like my any trip to Japan is complete for me without coming here. It's just amazing Just get ready for that first Eggs never so creamy soaked in this rich The noodles are my favorite flavor just penetrates at the best, you know Got about these roasted pork Little sweet Right too sweet for my liking. I Wouldn't really recommend it. I think I got a little greedy. I mean, I already got the good chashu here So funny, even though Ichiran is a chain the chashu here still better than any chashu I had in Sapporo first round Don't drink all the soup extra noodles coming up This is why I get the rich broth, it's almost like a sauce grabbing onto them noodles One of the most satisfying Satisfying things We can ever get in Tokyo. I don't care what people said. That's amazing. It tastes great I mean, I enjoy my local ramen as well. That's of course I love finding local ramen shops, but God, there's nothing like coming back to an Ichiran. It's my first love, you know, first ramen love. You don't forget about that That was an itch that just needed to be scratched. Oh, yeah, that was good Perfect winter food Body just feels so good afterwards Now I can actually go do some work. This is awesome. It's a Mercedes dealership with this crazy cool cafe and They really because I mean the point of this place is really just to sell cars. So Basically stay as long as you want. Don't give you dirty looks Yeah, Mercedes cookie It's good coffee ice cream Don't like coffee, but I like coffee. I gotta get some work done in a bit So Amaris in this cafe and Mercedes, look at this. They brought like a entire Emirates suite into this Mercedes. It's pretty cool This is way better than the suite that I was at TV's bigger, the table's bigger, there's a better beverage Counter. I'm gonna get to try it out and sit there. Alright, so this is the little First class. Okay, let's see This is like way better than what I flew before and they have like a virtual window here So even if you're sitting in the middle, you get to see what's happening outside bigger TV than my apartment I am thank you. Oh, yeah, maybe I shouldn't have this talk like in the middle of this Like I just so private, you know, it's like I'm alone, but it's people outside waiting. That's gotta say. All right well, I was trying to say is that Obviously, this is the time of year when you know holiday season and then cuffing season, you know This whole thing sometimes when people are single I get a little anxious get a little sad Which is understandable, but I feel like being in a relationship. It's great when you find the right person the right time. That's perfect Then congratulations, that's awesome. I really do feel like there's some sort of thing now where if you're single, it's almost like no Why are you single? How come you're single? Let me find you someone it's okay To be single if that's what you want. If you want to be in a relationship, that's okay, too but don't let this pressure like like kind of Hasten the process of finding someone or settling for someone or lowering your standard in life Just like in food never settle never settle.
