Fitting sheets can be frustrating to fold and many people simply give up and fold them up as best as they can, typically in a wad, and put them in the linen closet. Well, no more!

There’s no reason that you can’t fold up a fitted sheet, with those irritating but necessary elastic edges, so that it is rectangular, flat, and neat. Yes, it’s true!
In this episode, DirtFarmer Maggie will show you have to orient and grasp a fitted sheet in such a way that each of the corner pockets “nest” inside each other and allow you to neatly stow the corners in the interior of the folded sheet.
This results in a symmetrical and neat folded sheet that has fewer wrinkles and stores well after laundering. With a little practice, you can fold sheets in about a minute - seriously!
This is just another skill you can add and one more thing that you can say, JUST DO IT YOURSELF!

Hi this is Dirt Farmer Maggie from DirtFarmerJ.com. Do you get really frustrated when you're trying
to figure out how to store a fitted sheet especially when we're talking about a queen
size or even a king size? I am going to cure your frustration. Stay tuned. Okay so we're going to
learn how to fold this fitted sheet and make it look just as nice and neat as it can be.
As you know sheets have four corners and every time there's a corner there's a seam so that you
can see the seam there. I'm going to stick my hand right in that seam. Then I'm going to go
over here to this end and I'm going to find the seam over here. So now I've got both of my hands
in the seams. So I'm going to pair it up, grab it with this hand, flip it over and now I've got
one of the folds already ready to go here. So I'm just going to go down the sheet and flip over,
find the corner of the other side. This takes a little practice but pretty soon you'll just be
whipping right through it. Okay so there's that seam so I'm going to stick my hand in,
wiggle it in. Now I've got both seams. Now I'm going to marry those together,
put them together, grab with your right hand, fold over with your left hand and now
we're getting close to a square right? So I'm going to give it a little jiggle so it'll
straighten out. I'm going to fold this over like that to make a square, fold this in like that.
Now I just fold and fold and fold. Voila! A fitted sheet. So the first thing you're going
to do is find two of the corners that are on the same side of the sheet and with your hands inside
the seams here you're going to grab a hold, flip it over. So now we've got one corner inside the
other corner. That's one fourth of the way to being done. Get to the other corners,
get your hand in there. So now you can see the seam there. So I'm in this corner,
I'm in this corner. So now I'm going to put those two together, grab with my right hand,
flip over with my left hand. Now I've got all four corners in this pocket.
So now I'm just going to give it some jiggle, kind of go side to side, it'll sort of fall
out. Then you can kind of make the square. Holy moly! Okay so there we have this fitted sheet
and if you think that was great check out this video here about how to get rid of that washer
stink. Woo wee! Thanks for watching this is Dirt Farmer Maggie from DirtFarmerJ.com
