MASSIVE BEDROOM DECLUTTER

Hey guys welcome back to my channel. In today's video I will be decluttering and organizing my youngest son Ezra's bedroom. So this is so embarrassing for me to even show you guys but over the last couple of months this room has just kind of been our catch-all station so anytime guests would come over I would just throw things in his room and lock the door. I am very embarrassed to be showing this to you guys but I think everybody can relate to some time in their life that they have let a room just become a disaster. So today I wanted to finally address the problem instead of locking the door every day and get this room organized once and for all. We do have another baby on the way he won't be here till the end of the summer but I wanted to get this room ready for him because this will be our new baby's nursery. Also if you're wondering no Ezra does not sleep in this bed. There's no possible way he would be able to. So because of that his crib has just kind of become a giant basket for all of our stuff. Okay now when it comes to organizing a huge problem area like this I kind of have a system that I like to go by. So I will bring in a basket. This basket is a place I put all of the items that don't belong in this room and that way I'm not walking one item to the room or one item to the kitchen. I just throw everything that doesn't belong in this bedroom in the basket and I will have to do this a couple times but I like to have a basket for that. Then I will be putting things that do belong in his room in a separate pile. I have a laundry pile. I have trash bags to put trash in and then another trash bag to be putting donations in. I will also be putting any items I want to list or sell in this bin as well. found my lumie case and for those of you who don't know what the lumie case is it was really popular a few years ago it works great it's still in perfect condition but basically it's a light up case that you just charge i believe i paid around 60 for this so i definitely know i can get something out of this app so this is something that i will actually be listing so just an fyi if any of you guys are interested and this case fits your phone so this room i don't know if you guys can remember but this was actually our twins room ezra's room was in the other room and he was about one we switched rooms and i just have never like decorated this room for example we have this one picture hanging right here um and this is something my mom actually cross-stitched for him and it's like rainbow because he was a rainbow baby so that's really cute but i have to find obviously a better place than just right there in the middle of the wall anyway this will be the nursery for our new babies we're going to keep this side rail for this crib because this is a perfectly fine crib we'll just use this again we definitely will be painting and making this more of a nursery um ezra really doesn't sleep in here he did for the first year but now he never sleeps in here so that's kind of why this room has just gotten so bad it's because he only comes in here to grab toys and then that's it so right now i wanted to show you this little system we have over here this is where we've just always kept all of his toys so our books are right here and this is just temporary because i'm having my husband build a couple shelves for this wall and they will go across the whole length of this wall right here so again this is just kind of temporary i'm hoping to get to that this week and then i need to find some kind of better like stacking system or shelves for their toys i don't like them just here in these bins um but he really doesn't have that many we do have a toy room downstairs but these are the ones he plays with the most so we like to keep them up in his room and then he actually set all these here on his bed so i had one bucket that was specifically for toy story and he got a lot of them out and put them here on his bed i actually thrifted this baby changing station so i loved it this is actually where i keep all of his clothes any clothes that are hand-me-downs or in the closet but clothes he actually fits into we keep like his pajamas up here and then let's see what's in here just regular t-shirts and you know what's so funny these have passed down from the twins and i'm like well i'll just be keeping them and keep passing them down for this next baby and i'm like his big hoodies and sweaters and pants are in here then in here we have these two shelves and we just keep his hats and scarves in this bin diapers in here he has been really good at going to the bathroom in the toilet he just refuses to go number two in the toilet so we're keeping him in diapers until he can figure that out and not be so afraid of it then down here this is all of his like swim shorts swim diapers and then these are his favorite capes we keep right here and then just to shoot something else i forgot to mention that i love about this app is you can search through categories for example we have a disneyland trip coming up here in the next month so i have been searching through disney or mickey mouse to find different items so i've been looking through shirts or different clothes that i could find at a discount just because i know that if i buy it at disneyland or even at a normal store i will end up paying a lot more so that is just one thing that i have personally been searching through i love that you can search by category and that they have made it really
