The advantages & disadvantages of ready mix concrete is also explained. The grades of concrete. transit mixer working is explained with sketch.
Ready mix concrete, also known as "RMC", is a concrete mixture that is produced and delivered to a construction site in batching plant. A ready mix concrete plant utilizes various materials and equipment to produce a batch of concrete, which can be delivered via truck or by mixing trucks. Ready mix concrete is available as an alternative to hauling raw materials and preparing the concrete on site. Watch this video to learn what ready mix concrete is. Go through the production of ready mix concrete.
Ready mix concrete, also known as RMC, is a mixture of concrete that has been mixed and transported to the construction site in a batching plant. Historically, ready mix concrete was produced on-site in batches, but transitioned to the current model of being pre-mixed at a central location.
There are multiple steps in the process of making ready mix concrete. The raw materials for RMC are mixed together and made into a slurry which is then conveyed to the site where it will be poured. It is important that the consistency, or slump, of the RMC is suitable for construction. At the site where it will be poured, an excavator scoops up the concrete mixture and places it into a form where it can harden into a solid structure.
Ready mix concrete sometimes known as RMC is ready to use concrete which eliminates the wait time for the concrete to harden. This makes it ideal for large scale projects such as road construction and bridge building. More and more bridges and roads across the country are being paved with RMC, as more contractors and government agencies begin to recognize its benefits when compared to using traditional concrete methods.
