These Windows Will SOUND PROOF Your HOME!!!

Hey guys, Sean with American Window Concepts here, and I'm going to dive in today a little bit about the sound package. Whenever you're dealing with vinyl windows, which primarily I deal with, it's a great insulator. It doesn't allow for cold and heat to transfer through and sound as well. So the weakest link on your house is going to be your glass. It is now, and it would be in the future with brand new windows. In order to combat that, what you do, this is your single piece of glass. What you do is you have the windows ordered with two thicknesses of glass. And standard is going to be double strength, and you're getting two panels of that. One on the outside, one on the inside. If you upgrade the package to sound package, you get a three-sixteenths or triple strength on the interior, and the eighth inch would be on the outside of the house. Now the eighth inch blocks certain sound waves. So if you have two of the eighth inch panels of glass, the sound waves are going to transfer through one, then the other, and continue on. With the three-sixteenths, it's going to block different sound waves. So when the eighth inch is blocking these sound waves, the three-sixteenths is blocking these smaller ones. So it creates a nice, quiet environment inside the house. Fifty percent greater than the double eighth inch. So it's a huge upgrade, and for most windows, it's going to be a minimal upgrade as far as cost is concerned, but the benefits are lifelong. So if you have the option, I would definitely go with the sound package because it's going to really make it nice and quiet in the house, and give you that comfort, that serenity, if you will.
