Two Guns Arizona and Apache Death Cave - Route 66

We've made it to Two Guns, Arizona. We're here to check out the abandoned zoo that's here, or the remnants, the ruins. There's not much left, I'll tell you guys that much. There's some things off that way, this, and I think the biggest portion, or the most popular portion of this explore is right here, just beyond these stairs guys. So we made it over to the old zoo area, there's a bridge, but check this guy out guys, don't ever be that guy. If you're going to come out and explore, especially if it's very accessible, people come here to take pictures, film like I'm doing. Don't be that guy that leaves your car right there, jackass. So this says mountain lion, yep, so this, all right, I'm not too familiar with the story, I've kind of, you know, kind of read through it a little bit. The last guy that owned this, I guess one of the bobcats escaped, escaped, attacked him, then somehow he got bit by a rattlesnake, and then the guy just kind of gave up on it after that. He somehow lived, I guess. I mean, look at these small pins guys, how would anybody get away with this nowadays? I mean, could you imagine a bobcat living in here? It was so small, I don't know if there was tigers here, I don't know exactly what was there. Yeah, mountain lions, well I guess it's, those guys are pretty big, right? No, not really. Let's see what else we got here. This is another pin, obviously, you know, even if a bobcat or mountain lion was living in this thing, that's still way too small. Yeah, this probably would have been the mountain lion enclosure, but still that, that is a really small pin for, for something like that. Yeah, well, you know, they're not much smaller, not much smaller than that abandoned L.A. Zoo, yeah, that's right. Almost forgot about that one for a second, it's been a while since we've been there. Bet it was hotter than heck out here in the summertime. And some more pins. Yeah, we will. Just want to check out and see what else is up here. I wonder how you even got a permit to do that stuff out here. Yeah, so you know why on this side there's holes, but on this side there's not? That's so, in case this ever got flooded, this canyon here, and it came up over the bridge, would be able to drain out and fill and keep going instead of destroying the bridge. Crazy, huh? All right, let's, uh, let's check out the rest of the ruins of Two Guns. Uh, there's a cave here that we want to try to get into. Hopefully we have enough light. Uh, looks like we only got maybe, what, about an hour, hour and a half left of sunlight, huh Britt? Actual usable sunlight. Yeah, you know, it's already a little bit, yeah, a little, a little chilly out here. Although it has been colder. I love all these old ruins. This was two stories. Was it? Oh, it was, huh? Check that out. You guys see what's up there? I can't, yeah, we can't see. I'll see what's up there when, uh, I edit the video. Oh look, that was the stairs, huh? There's like a pin. A pin? I think there was more animals here? Yeah. Yeah, possibly. Yeah, yeah, I guess that's the only thing that could have been here, right? I think maybe another cave was down there. They just got it all blocked up and covered up so nobody can get in there. Maybe a bird or something? Yeah, it's hard to say. Well, look at that. That's the only thing that's holding this up. No, the bridge is. You think so? Yeah. Wow, it's kind of like a maze of rocks, huh? What do you think was here, guys? You think this was like a hotel or something back in the day? Look at all that. Yeah, I don't know what this was. Maybe an old fort? No, maybe this was like another enclosure. You know, I think this was another enclosure. Yeah. I guess we can get down right here. This is, uh. Yeah, this is kind of sketch. But yeah, you could see that there's more pins right here. Like small things? Very small things. You see how they're all divided? I guess I'm talking to myself. This is 909 ain't talking to me. Very cool, guys. Oh, so this whole thing all the way down here is a walkway right at the edge of this. Oh yeah, look. Check that out, guys. You see that, uh. I guess that would be a cave. It looks like it would be like a for a small camp or something. Let me see if I can zoom in where you guys bear. Right there. You guys see that cave? That's stinking cool. I've actually never seen that in person. You know, there's a couple more. A couple more you guys see right there. And then another one there. This is really cool. But that's not what we're here to see. Check this out. Another bigger pin for something stuff here. So this this spot was bigger than I was expecting it to be. I don't remember even seeing any of this stuff in pictures. Man, that is that is awesome. I'm going to take some pictures of this, so we'll pick this video up here momentarily. A little sketchy, guys, for sure. All right, guys, I made it down here. What do you think? Should we try it? I'll be honest. I'm a little nervous. All right, here we go. Here goes nothing. Hopefully this doesn't wind up being my tomb. That's not too bad. Really cold down here. Yeah, I should have wore some better shoes, that's for sure. So the rumor is that there was one tribe battling it out with the other, the smaller tribe. Wow. Be honest, guys, I don't really want to be in here. Claustrophobic. But one tribe was battling it out with the other tribe and the other tribe found it because or found them because they felt the heat coming up from underneath the ground here. So they came back and raided the place and they basically slaughtered them. They killed them. They smoked them out. They started a fire. They pretty much suffocated because of the fire that they set. Check this out. I ain't climbing in there, that's for sure. So the tribe that was in here, they killed their horses and tried to block up the entranceway to block any more of the smoke coming in, but it didn't work. Now again, guys, this is just a rumor. There's no real actual facts that it happened. Yeah, I'm missing 909's top side, just in case. Check that out. And honestly, guys, this is as far as I'm going to go. Hope you guys give me credit for trying at least. Everything is moving. Look, that's like a little room or something. You know, hey, I could say I did it. Maybe if I was with somebody else. I mean, I'm down here by myself, inexperienced, not experienced. So this is exactly why this is as far as I'm going. I'm going to shut this off and take some pictures. All right, guys, I took a few pictures. Then I'll start working my way back out of here. This ground, I guess you can't even say it's ground, it's nothing but rock. Every step I take is, yeah, check that out. No thanks. Every step I take is, the ground is moving beneath me. Really uneasy. All right. Yeah. And so again, guys, like I was just saying, this whole portion of the death cave, look at that. That's all just, that's just a rumor. Because originally, before the last owner of two guns came along, there was, there's some pictures that just says, Apache Caves. And I'll see if I can find that picture and post it here in the video for you guys. The whole death portion of the cave didn't come along until after the most recent owner. Yeah, guys, this is a, I don't know if I would say it's the sketchiest thing I've done, but the most sketchiest thing I'll be doing this trip anyways. Bartender, where's light, please?
