With the 4th of July only 4 days away, I thought it would be perfect to share some of my last minute ideas that can make your party a little more fun! If you're in another country, these ideas would still work for you, just of course in the colors of your flag ;)
We are an ADVENTUROUS family of 6 who lost our son to SIDS in 2014. Our biggest regret was not having family videos of him when he was here and is why we started doing daily vlogs!
Thomas is a 2X North American Champion in his kick-boxing career and Ashley is a network-marketing professional.
Together we have 6 year old Identical twins- Simon & Cohen. Our son Miloh was born 12/12/13 and passed away 5/20/14. We were blessed with our Rainbow baby (and 4th son) Ezrah this year on 03/02/17 and we have loved sharing our every day journey with our followers and are looking forward to where this journey takes us!
We are NOT on social media, so the only way to stay updated is to hit that red subscribe button (and that little bell) so you NEVER miss a video! ;)

Hey guys, so today I'm gonna be going over
a bunch of different ideas that you could use
for your 4th of July get together.
I'm starting out by making some firework tissue balls.
So this is gonna be a little decoration
that you can hang anywhere in the house
and I really think they're super cute.
They look like little fireworks.
So as you can see here,
I started with six pieces of tissue paper
and I went every other color, red, white, blue,
red, white, blue.
And then as you can see here,
I'm folding them like an accordion.
And then I'm going to be tying them together.
You can cut the ends any way you'd like,
but I'm going to cut a point
because I feel like that makes it look more like a firework.
Once you have that done,
you're going to open both of them up
and then start separating the tissue paper
by pulling them apart.
And then grab a string, however long you want it.
I'm hanging this in between my two lights.
So I measured to make sure it fit where I needed it.
The good thing is they don't need to be perfectly separated
because they slide around really easily.
So once I got it hung up,
then I kind of separated them to make them all even.
Moving on to my flag cake.
Okay guys, I have been doing this for so many years.
I remember the first time I did it,
I felt like I was a magician.
This was before Pinterest days.
You're going to bake three different cakes.
I have a just plain white cake.
You want a red cake and a blue cake.
As you can see, I'm cutting,
I cut the top off with this little saw.
These are super cheap.
They're like three bucks at the store
and I would definitely suggest getting one
so it's perfectly even.
You really do want it to be that way.
So really you're just cutting them all in half.
You're going to stack a white, red,
and then white cake again.
Next thing you'll see here is I have a blue cake
and take a circle.
I think a bowl works perfectly.
And you're going to use the outer part of that cutout.
Whatever kind of stencil you use,
you want to use the same one.
And then you're going to do another cutout
over the next red and white cake.
And you're going to use the inner part
to stick inside of the blue part.
To finish this off, just frost it however you want.
And the cool thing about this cake
is anytime you cut it, you get a flag.
And I just think this is the coolest cake ever.
It always surprises the guests.
They have no idea.
It looks just like a simple cake.
And then when they cut inside, it's a flag.
This next one is really simple.
I grabbed a big blue bucket from the dollar store,
put a red towel in there, and put some popcorn.
So we got a red, white, and blue theme going on here.
And this is just a simple thing.
Everybody loves popcorn,
and so that's something easy to serve.
I'm also showing you a way
that I'm going to be serving them.
And I have these cute little cups.
Put a napkin in there, and then that's how I will serve them.
Moving on, this is something I already showed you guys
in my dollar store video,
so I'll have that linked right here.
But basically, I just spray painted
a red, white, and blue stardish,
and you can put any type of treat that you want in here.
This next one is on every single holiday,
my kids wake up to some kind of little surprise.
And so I thought it would be perfect
to give them a little firework basket.
This next one is another really simple thing.
We love s'mores at our house,
and so I know on the fourth,
after everyone comes over here after the fireworks,
we always have s'mores.
And so I thought it'd be fun to just set them out
and have them in little dishes, ready for everybody.
And this last one is another really simple thing.
As long as you have some spray paint and a big star stencil,
I went ahead and spray painted red, white, and blue stars
up the line of our driveway on the grass.
All right, guys, thank you so much for watching this video.
I do have a 4th of July decor video,
and I have a few other videos I'm going to link below.
I'm also going to link our last 4th of July video below,
because I do have a lot of ideas in there as well,
as far as table settings for a 4th of July party.
Thanks again, guys.
We'll see you next time.
