DECORATE WITH ME FOR THE 4TH OF JULY 2022 🇺🇸| New Patriotic Decor Haul

Hey guys, welcome back to another video. Today I'm going to be decorating my house for the 4th of July and in the past I've always done it on flag day, which is June 14th, but I feel like I've been missing out on decor for Memorial Day. So I feel like after this year I'm going to try to do it in May, like a little bit before Memorial Day. So we have decorations for Memorial Day, Flag Day and the 4th of July. So anyway, I did get a few new pieces of decor. I'll show you guys some of that here in just a second. And I will try my hardest to also tell you where I got things as I'm decorating. We will be focusing on some of the dining room, the breakfast nook and my family room. And that's basically all I will be decorating in today's video. So let's jump into today's video. Here are all of the items that I picked up at Hobby Lobby this year. I did also stop at Michael's for like three things, I think. So I will let you guys know again as I'm decorating where things are from. For anyone that's interested in this decor, Hobby Lobby is still really stocked right now with their patriotic decor. But I know it goes fast. Last year I stopped by and I think they only have like paper plates left by the time I actually shopped. So you want to go early. Everything is on sale for 40% off. So all of the prices you're seeing here take 40% off of that. And so I feel like I got a killer deal on on all of these decor pieces. So the first place I want to start decorating is over here in our breakfast nook. I actually picked this one thing up at Michael's. I was looking for something at antique stores. I wanted some like patriotic tin can and I couldn't find any at the antique stores I was shopping at. So when I found this at Michael's, I was really excited. And then in this little tea kettle, I picked up some of these stems at Hobby Lobby, I think a few years ago, and my kids are obsessed with these. They think they look like fireworks. So they're always requesting that I put some of these within my decor. And then to finish off the top shelf, I thought that this America sign would look really cute up here. I stopped by our thrift store and I was looking for some mugs. I wanted to just find some plain blue, red and white mugs. And I found these for 75 cents. This star container was from Hobby Lobby a few years ago, but I'm pretty sure that I saw them there again. One thing I actually end up switching out after this video is those white mugs. I was not even paying attention. That does not look good to have two sets of mugs on either side. So I do end up moving those. It's funny when I'm in the zone. Sometimes I don't pay attention to the decor that I already have up. So there are a few things that I switched up after I was finished here. These little dish towels were from Hobby Lobby, and I think they came in a pack of three. And then I found these really cute star ornaments from a local store called Real Deals. I picked up this mug at Hobby Lobby last year. I'm not sure if they have them this year. If they do and you've seen them, please leave a comment letting people know, because I think this is one of my favorite mugs. I love decorating with cookie cutters. I think that it's a really cute way to decorate. I love doing it at Christmas, too. So I have these from years ago. I don't even remember where they're from. So I thought it'd be fun to add a few of these star cookie cutters throughout the shelves. This is the banner I picked up from Hobby Lobby, and I cut it in half because it was just too long. I didn't need it for my mantle. I wanted to hang it in a few different areas. So I have it draping here off to the side. And then I actually ended up going in and draping some more on the front. And you'll see that here when I get like an aftershot. Now I am just adding a few flags to some of my greenery, and I always get questions about this scale. And this is something that I did a DIY project on not too long ago. So I will be sure to have that video linked below. Moving on to our breakfast nook, I already had this basket and this little setup here from spring, and I had some tulips in this basket, but I removed the tulips and then I wanted to add this scale here. This is something I picked up at Hobby Lobby years ago, and I'm sure that they still have it. And then I thought it'd be fun to just add a dish towel and some red bowls on top. And this was the sign that I picked up from Hobby Lobby. I wanted to fix up this basket a little bit, so I thought I would add some of these blueberry stems in here with a white hydrangea plant. I might actually go get another or maybe two more to fill this in a little bit more. And then I finish it off with some flags. I got these covers off of Amazon, so I will be sure to have these linked below. If you are newer around here, I made the decision to try to get pillow covers. When I'm shopping for holiday pillows, because they are so hard to store when you are buying pillows for every single holiday. So I decided this year I need to stick to pillow covers so that I can store them a lot easier. Moving into my family room again, all of these things right here are from Hobby Lobby, including this red candle. I actually get this at Christmastime and I usually buy a few of them because I love the scent. This little crate was also from Hobby Lobby last year, and this tin can was from our local store Real Deals. And I picked that up this year while I was at our thrift store. I picked up some books that were red, white and blue, and I thought that would be really fun to display them for decor. I did this at Easter as well, and I shopped for just like pastel colors. So I only needed to find some red books. I got a few different stacks to put throughout my decor. But again, I feel like this is a really fun and different way to do a stacked book and do it with some colors. This other sign was also from Real Deals this year, and this little bottle with the flags were from the dollar store. I can't remember where I got this big blue sign. I want to say Hobby Lobby because that's where I get a lot of my things from. I love decorating it up here for the fourth just because it's that dark blue color. And then I'm kind of doing what I did last year, where I just stuck the flags in these amber bottles on either side. And then I added some of those little fireworks. This bunting banner was from Michael's this year, and it was around 50 percent off. So I paid ten dollars for this. To finish off this living room, I'm just adding this little flag pillow up here, and I've had this for years. I can't remember where I got this. I thrifted this little bucket and this star dish towel came with the other dish towels that I got from Hobby Lobby. And then I just did another three stack of the red, white and blue books over here. This little setup is from spring, so I'm just leaving the flowers in here as they are. And then I got these hydrangeas from Michael's and their summer flowers are 60 percent off. So they were only a few dollars a piece. And I'm kind of doing what I did in the other basket where I'm adding some of these blueberry stems and then finishing it off with some flags. The last area I will be decorating is in our dining room, and I'm just adding some little flags into these clear milk bottles. And this whole set was from Hobby Lobby years ago, but I think that they still have these. This red, white and blue birdhouse was thrifted years ago, and then all of these little pieces I'm adding in here are from Hobby Lobby. This happy 4th of July sign was from a Real Deals, again, our local store. And then I'm adding another dish towel here with some flags in the greenery over in this basket. I got this sign a few years ago from Hobby Lobby, and then I'm just adding two more of the larger flags into this glass jar. And this was picked up from at home.
