Morning guys! Today is September 4th, and I'm seeing Keshi tonight, and I'm so excited.
Hey Google, play Keshi.
That's not it.
Hey Google, stop. Play K-E-S-H-I.
I swear it like always does that.
Hey Google, stop.
This girl is not trying to get copyrighted.
But yeah, I feel like he's definitely my favorite artist right now.
I've just been listening to his stuff non-stop on repeat.
So yeah, I thought that I would film a little get ready with me.
This is definitely not a makeup tutorial.
I don't really know what I'm doing with makeup, but I got a few new products that I want to try out.
So we're just going to go with the flow.
So I already moisturized my face, but I feel like it's a bit puffy because I had iron noodles last night.
But first things first, I'm going to be using this moonshot cushion that I got from YesStyle.
I'm super excited to try it out because I think I saw Blackpink's Lisa.
She was in a campaign for this, so I wanted to try it out.
I got this in the shade 301 Honey because I think I got a slight tan in the summer.
To be honest, I usually don't even really wear face makeup.
I feel like I only wear it for special occasions or if I know that I'm taking photos.
I just don't like clogging my pores.
I usually get blackheads around my nose, but it's okay.
Today is a special day.
So I would say that the coverage on this for a cushion is pretty dang good.
I'm going to go in with concealer for a little bit of extra coverage under my eyes
and also on the pimple on my forehead.
This is the NARS Radiant Concealer in the shade Vanilla.
I would say that my favorite song would be XOXSOS.
He mentioned that it was his favorite song in Instagram Live,
so I checked it out and I fell in love.
Some of my other favorites would be Skeleton, Reaper, Summer, Too Soon, of course.
Basically everything.
I don't think that there's a single song that he's released that I don't like.
Alright, complexion is done.
Time to move on to the brows.
I recently got the new Glossier Brow Duo.
This is the Brow Flick in black and then the Boy Brow in brown,
and I've really been liking it so far.
I feel like they give your brows like a nice feathery look, which I really like.
I will say that it did take a bit of getting used to
because you're physically like drawing the brush hairs with like this pen, I guess.
It's basically kind of like a liquid eyeliner, but for the brows.
Oh my god, do you see the difference?
I'm like completely naked on the side.
The power of makeup.
So I basically just start brushing in the meat of the brow
and then I save the front for last just because I want it to be more feathery.
And then for the front, I like to just draw hair like strokes upwards.
Good enough.
And now I'm going to take the Boy Brow and then just brush through the hair.
And then when I'm brushing, I like to just brush upwards and then over.
What's that saying?
That brows are supposed to look more like sisters than twins?
Well, this is it.
For eyeshadow, I'm super excited to try out the Beauty Bento from Kaja
and this is in the shade of Poppy Champagne.
So it comes with three different eyeshadows.
There is this shimmery yellow shade, this pop of orange,
and then this bright red, which I think is such a cool color.
I definitely want to try it out.
But since I have work today, we're going to go for a more wearable look.
So I'm going to use the orange
and then we're just going to pat this bad boy all over the lids.
Oh my god, this color is so beautiful, but I think I definitely need a mirror.
Oh my god, do you guys hear that?
The beauty of living in New York City.
The weather here in New York is finally starting to cool down,
which makes me so happy, so excited for fall.
But yeah, how was your guys' summer?
I feel like mine was pretty uneventful, to be honest.
But yeah, comment down below any of your guys' highlights
or memories from the summer.
I would love to read it.
Next, I'm going to take this Gudetama eyeshadow palette.
It's so cute.
And I'm going to use this dark shade along the lash line.
I absolutely love going to concerts.
I feel like there's nothing that beats live music for me.
It's just like the whole ambiance.
There's like the performer, the audience, everyone's cheering and singing along.
It's just such great vibes.
So I'm feeling a bit spontaneous,
so I'm going to pop this shimmery yellow shade onto the center of the eye.
And I feel like this is just going to add some nice dimension to the eye.
Oh, never mind.
I feel like you can't really see it, but I see it in person.
Before I attempt to do my eyeliner, I'm just going to go in and curl my lashes.
All right, so my battery died,
and I think the lighting change is a lot more cloudy now.
But yeah, we're just going to keep chugging along
because girl needs to get her face done.
So moving on to eyeliner,
I'm going to be using the new Kaja Beauty Wing Stamp Eyeliner.
So it comes with a stamp and then also a regular pen.
All right, so this is what the product looks like.
It has a left and a right side,
and then on each side it has a stamp to help you create the perfect wing eyeliner.
Let's do this.
So I'm going to take the left side of the stamp,
and then I'm just going to line it up with my eye.
So what I've learned from other makeup tutorials
is that you want to line up the wing of your eyeliner
with the natural shape of your eye.
So I'm just going to attempt to do that.
I'm so nervous.
Okay, I'm just going to go for it.
All right, so this is what it looks like.
I think it looks okay.
I'm not sure.
I hope.
Yeah, it looks fine.
It looks fine.
And then I'm going in with the pen to line the rest of my eye.
I think I need to...
Here we go.
Oh great, you can see my mess.
We'll just try to ignore that.
Honestly, I never do my eyeliner just because I'm so bad at it,
but no saying, practice makes perfect.
Also, I'm not really tugging on my eye when I'm placing my finger here.
It's more just for balance.
I realized that when you tug on the skin,
obviously it's not good for your eye,
but it can also prevent the line from being super crisp and smooth
so that when you tug on your skin,
the line does appear to be really smooth,
but then when you release it,
you realize that it's kind of rigid-y and not that smooth.
So yeah, just a little beauty guru tip for you.
How does it look?
Oh, I'm not even in focus.
I feel like some of you, or probably most of you,
are probably cringing right now at this eyeliner,
but I don't know.
I feel like it's not that bad.
I'm pretty darn proud of myself.
So on to the next eye.
All right, so I'm going in with the right side
and I'm just going to try to line up the stamp
with the natural shape of my eye again.
So stressful.
Um, I think it's higher than the other one.
Okay, we're gonna redo it.
I'm gonna take a makeup wipe and then just try to remove it.
At least it comes off pretty easily.
All right, good as new.
Okay, I think that looks better.
Yeah, I still can't tell,
but I'm also running late, so I'm just gonna keep going.
All right, so I just finished my eyeliner.
I figured that you guys didn't need to see me struggle again.
So yeah, I think it's slightly uneven,
but then again, my eyelids are also uneven,
so I don't know.
We're just gonna work with what we got.
I'm going to prime my lashes with this Pima Mascara Base.
Honestly, this is like the best mascara primer for Asian lashes.
It just really helps keep the curl all day long.
And then while that is drying, I'm going to apply my blush.
I'm going to be using this 3CE blush in the shade Retro Drive,
and I thought that the orange and the yellow
would just help tie in nicely with the eyes.
I feel like this blush just adds a nice warmth to your complexion.
So my favorite mascara is the L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara.
I feel like it just works the best for my short Asian lashes,
and it just really helps lengthen them.
It doesn't provide too much volume,
but I feel like what I'm mostly looking for in a mascara is length,
so this does the job.
And then while my lashes are still wet,
I like to just press and hold them up just so that they keep the shape.
And yes, you will get a bit of mascara on your finger,
but you can easily just wipe it away.
But at the same time,
be careful about not getting your mascara onto your eyelid.
All right, so I feel like I lost some of the orange shadow,
so I'm just going to go in and add some more.
Yeah, I feel like that looks better.
Next, I'm going to go in with the Kaja Mochi Blush.
No, this video isn't sponsored,
but I did get sent these products,
and I actually really like all of them.
So I'm just going to take the highlighter with my finger,
and then just put some on the bridge of my nose,
and then also the tip of my nose.
And I really like this highlighter.
I feel like it gives you just like a really nice subtle sheen,
and it's so buttery soft.
This is the Kaja Beauty Heart Melter in Honey Bunny.
So I'm just going to click and then apply some.
I actually really like this lip color.
I think it's a nice My Lips But Better shade,
and I think it's also going to transition well into the fall.
And this feels really nice on the lips.
It's not drying at all, but it's also not sticky.
So I really like it.
So I'm going to use the Wander Beauty Play All Day Translucent Powder.
So the powder is actually inside the puff,
so it's completely mess-free.
So I'm actually just going to throw this into my bag.
So I'm just going to pat down the areas where I get oily,
which is my T-zone and then also under my eyes.
So here is the finished makeup look.
I feel like it came out pretty nice.
The eyeliner is a bit thicker than what I usually wear,
but it's okay.
I'm going to a concert.
The lights will be dark, so it'll be all good.
So now I'm going to show you guys how I curl my hair
because I've gotten a few questions.
So yeah.
So I currently don't own a curling iron,
mainly just because I don't know how to use one.
So I just use a straightener to curl my hair.
This one is from Kristin S.
I discovered this from Lenny while we were in Cali.
I used hers and I fell in love.
And then my friends actually gifted this to me
for my birthday, which was honestly so sweet and thoughtful.
So I'm just going to use this really old heat protectant
from TRESemmé and then just spray it throughout my hair.
And really focus on the ends
because that's where my hair is the most thin.
So now that the product's in my hair,
I'm just going to take a scrunchie
and then just section off my hair.
And then I'm just going to turn on the lowest heat setting
and this thing heats up in about a minute, which I love.
So this is going to be super easy.
If you guys already know how to curl your hair with a straightener,
then feel free to just skip ahead.
But I did get some questions asking how I curl my hair.
So I thought that I would show you guys.
So I just take a section about yay big, go through it once.
And then I actually like to twist the hair
in the direction that I'm going to be curling.
So I just have this and then I just turn the barrel
or turn the straightener.
Yeah, turn the straightener.
And then I just pull down.
And then this is the final result.
So I'm just going to take another section
and then go through it once and then twist.
And then twist it around the straightener.
And then what I like about this straightener
is that I feel like it just glides really smoothly.
My other straightener, it would just like pull and tug on my hair.
So then this one glides so smoothly.
And then sometimes if I'm not satisfied with the curl,
I'll just go through it one more time.
But yeah, that's basically how I curl my hair.
I feel like it's kind of boring,
so I'm just going to skip through it.
But yeah, and then for my bangs,
I just try to curl the tip away from my face.
And then just try to blend it in with the rest of the curls.
So this is the finished hair.
So this is option one.
I freaking love this shirt
because it reminds me of the lo-fi playlist that I listen to.
And I paired it with this gingham skort.
Next, I swapped out the shirt for this pink tee that says Hear Me Rock,
which I think is pretty darn cute.
And then lastly, these linen culottes,
which you can actually tie at the waist,
so it's super adjustable.
And they're the perfect length on me,
which is pretty hard to find.
All right, so this is my little OOTD.
I ended up going with the blue option
just because I feel like it matched the vibes of Keshi more,
but don't ask me how I got that logic.
I get a lot of questions where this is from.
This is actually from AliExpress,
so I'll try to find a link and link it down below for you guys.
And then for shoes, I'm going with my Nike Cortez
because I wanted to match the red and the blue in the shirt, so.
All right, so I'm off to work and then to Keshi.
Feel that summer and I don't want to miss you
If we don't touch, then we don't miss you
I don't want to talk about nobody else
No one said no love, but it won't go
One time, maybe twice
And one night, it's all right
We're both alone, so we'll go together
Kiss my hooves, but not forever
It's just us
Feeling lost and I don't know what to do now
With the truth, it ain't really gonna work out
Falling six feet underneath the floor now
But come on, tell me about
Feeling bad, go to bed
Wake up to the worst and I'm so tired of my head
Like a curse, I'm innocent
Innocent, innocent
All my skeletons out for the taking
All we ever do is have sex anyways
Come on, fight for our pants every day
I don't know if we can love any other way, yeah
On and off, off and on
My soul is still
Don't be saying X-O, X-O
X-O, X-O
On and off, off and on
My soul is still
Don't be saying X-O, X-O
X-O, X-O
I love this song so much, you guys know the words
One, two, three
Drag to the line, got the sickness
Pray to God, it's time I forget that
Staying through a lot, another mistress
Every day, every night, getting wasted
But I miss you, what did I do?
**** it up, love it up, and I lost you
If I don't, girl, is it too soon?
Turn it off, close my eyes, and I miss you
