Today is a super exciting day. I am reuniting with my boyfriend. It's been about 3 months since we last saw each other, which is crazy because he lives about 15-20 minutes away from me. But because of this quarantine, we've basically been in a long-distance relationship. And we also have not been able to FaceTime because his wifi is really bad at home, so it's been a bit rough. But thankfully the whole COVID situation is finally starting to get better here in New York. I think the city technically reopened on Monday, at least phase 1. So yeah, Simon is going to be staying with me for about 2-3 weeks at a time to make sure that we are both symptom-free before he goes back home. So yeah, I'm pretty excited to see him again. But right now, I'm going to get my day started with some matcha. So I just ordered some new matcha powder. This one is from Ippudo, which I believe is a Japanese family-owned business, so I felt good about supporting them. And it also said that I was rich in umami, which I still have yet to figure out what exactly that term means, but I remember them using it a lot in shokugeki, so I wanted to give it a try.
