The importance of training: middle management level is considered to be the most challenging in an organization. Typically, the juniors don't get the proper training to be a leader. Promoting someone to a position without showing them how to do it is a problem. The other problem is that the senior managers are focused on the quarterly earnings while the middle manager struggles with their leadership position and are "trying so hard to do the right things."
The importance of having employees' back: Being a good leader is about being able to love your people and giving them the best possible service. People give their best to leaders who have their back, and they go the extra mile for leaders who care about them.
The importance of vision and mission: the term just cause holds a higher standard; "it's a cause so just". People may sacrifice spending time away from family for a business trip, turning down a job that offers a higher salary if they believe in the leader's vision statement. A clearly established Vision encourages people to focus on what's important and better understand organization-wide change and alignment of resources.
The introvert in leadership: People who are introverts are known to be great listeners to their employees and clients. They also think deeply about the challenges and goals of their team. They are often able to come up with effective solutions. Usually, introverts in leadership roles acknowledge others for accomplishment and let others shine.
