On a safari tour you will learn about lions' lives both on the African savanna and here at Givskud Zoological Garden
We talk among other things about what they eat how they hunt and how they defend their territory
We always start a safari with a talk about safety as lions are very dangerous animals
We are taking a walk into the lion area on foot of course before the lions are let out
We are looking for signs of the lions and their activities
We end the tour with a visit to the lion's enclosure where we can see the lions up close before they are let out
I also get the opportunity touch some effects and will personally confirm how large the teeth and claws of the lions are
The items took about an hour in total
I can get close to the lions every day even during the summer vacation
It happens between 9 and 10 in the morning before the lions are let out
