Transform a plain pillow into a cute pillow in 5 minutes using yarn. And the best part is there is no sewing on this project! In this video I'll show you how to make a no sew pillow with the word "hello." But, you could make your no sew pillow with any word or shape! I think it would be cute to add a name. Hi everyone, it's Michelle Barada and welcome to Bella Branch TV.
Today I have a really fun, super, super, super easy DIY. Literally took me five
minutes, maybe six minutes, but super easy. We're going to transform a
pillow that you may have just lying around,
or you can get a really plain pillow and you're going to transform it.
And look how cute that is, it says hello. You can add it to
your couch, you can add it to to make your bed look prettier.
It's really super easy, super fun, and you guys ready to get started?
Well let's go. What you'll need for this project is a plain pillow,
some really thick yarn, scissors, a pen, a glue gun, or fabric glue.
First you're going to take your plain pillow and your pen and you're going to
draw a word on it, and I'm drawing the word hello. Now take
your yarn, and if you've never worked with yarn,
the end is usually in the middle of the yarn ball.
And just pull a bunch out, and then I trim the end because there's kind of a
frayed edge. Now take your fabric glue or hot glue and
start tracing around the word hello. And remember if you use hot glue, you
use a little at a time. Now take your yarn and start positioning
it all around the glue where the word hello
is. And you're just going to kind of pat
it down all the way. And I cut right at the
bottom of the H because it made it easier
instead of flipping it around. And you may need to add glue along the way.
And after you completely cover the area with your yarn,
you're going to go back with your glue and you're going to kind of do little
touch points of places that may need a little extra help with some glue.
And there's the finished piece. I hope you guys loved today's DIY.
I think it turned out great. I think it was really
easy and you can really use any word that you want.
You know you can use a shape like a heart or a star,
but you can transform something really quickly for
anything. You can put a name on here. It'd be really cute if you had somebody's
