ShineArmor.com using the link below. Let's unlock this Murano and open it up. Let's take a look at
the front. In 2019 we saw a quick refresh of the design of the Nissan Murano. First thing I see
are our nice boomerang headlights here. Everything is LED when you go up to this Platinum model from
the headlights to the fog lights the daytime running lights you have full LED. You also have
auto on off high beams so they're going to shut off automatically as a car approaches. You see a
more predominant v-motion grille that's in chrome really stands out with this sunset drift orange
exterior color. When they redesigned it they did add a little more black to the front fascia here
and you have this chrome right under the license plate which adds to the high-end look.
You'll notice that there's sensors on the front of the vehicle and on the fog light there that's
going to assist when parking. Checking out the car lines of the side profile you can see
everything flows to the back really gives it a luxury look. It really helps the car appear smaller
but it is very big on the inside. With this Platinum model you do get the chrome accents
all throughout the handles and down below. Rear privacy glasses help protect your kids from the
UV and we do have the silver roof rails right on the top. Our LED turn signals are right on the
breakaway mirrors here and we do have a little camera that's for the 360 camera that I'm going
to get to in a second. These silver dark hyped aluminum alloy rims are exclusive to the Platinum
model. You also get the all-season tires, four wheel disc brakes all around on the Murano.
The body lines flow all the way to the back you can see they've blacked out this back pillar
and that gives it a nice floating roof look especially with the chrome accents
and they follow all the way back to these LED boomerang style taillights that Nissan is known
for. The chrome is going to continue on the rear with our Murano and Platinum badging and then we
have our chrome bumper accent as well. If your hands are full you can use the motion activated
tailgate so you can just wave your foot right under the tailgate there and it's going to
automatically open up for you. Checking out the power plan we're going to get Nissan's classic
3.5 liter V6 engine. It's going to boast about 260 horsepower and 240 pounds feet of torque.
This one is going to come with the all-wheel drive when you get the Platinum model. It's
Nissan's intelligent all-wheel drive system and it does have the Xtronic CVT transmission that
Nissan's are known for. The positive of the CVT I know you guys love to talk about the negatives
however it's going to get you very good fuel mileage for a 3.5 V6. You're looking at about 24
miles per gallon and 34 on the highway. Classic Nissan intelligent key with this Platinum model
just like a lot of the other keys I've shown in the video. You get the remote start, the lock,
unlock, the trunk release and the panic button. So I just need to click the lock button twice
and click and hold the remote start and it automatically starts up the car. It's an
intelligent remote starter where it's going to start up and get the temperature to 23 degrees
and then I can come in and push the button on the door to unlock it and we can check out the
interior. So I've jumped into the interior of the Murano and wow a lot of space in here. It doesn't
look very big from the outside because of the curvature but there is a ton of space. I have a
heated and leather wrapped steering wheel. Makes it very comfortable, great in the winter time.
I got to talk about these quilted seats. So there's these nice Platinum diamond quilted
seats. This one comes with the cashmere leather. You can get a charcoal interior as well but these
seats are really comfortable. You got a lot of hip room. They really hug you. They're great for long
drives and there's a ton of space. It is a heated seat with the memory settings, eight-way power
adjustable. So you have two settings, one for you and one for your wife. On my wheel I have my
Bluetooth controls, my radio controls, the intelligent cruise control that's going to help
keep me a safe distance from the vehicle in front of me when I'm using my cruise control.
I have no idea why the Murano doesn't come with the ProPILOT assist. They have it in the Altima,
they have it in the Rogue. Why not put it in the Murano? Murano is supposed to be our top of the
line crossover. Why not give it the top of the line features? You also get the blind spot monitoring
which is great and the lane departure warning but why not add the ProPILOT assist. Nissan,
the technology is there. In between my two gauges I do have this large vehicle information screen
and I can use my controls on the wheel to cycle through my screens but basically everything is
on the home screen here. You can see our digital speedometer, our compass, our odometer, our
kilometers to empty. It also has the speed sign recognition so that will tell you the speed of the
road that you're on and then we can tell if our blind spot monitor is active right in the corner.
There are a few other things like there's my radio, my navigation, my trip computer
and then my driving aids. There's the speed sign recognition again. Tire pressure monitor is going
to come on when you're driving so it will tell you what tire is low and then I can play around
with my settings. Eight inch display right here for the infotainment system. It's nice large at
a little angle away from the driver. It's really easy to see. This is my favorite infotainment
system in all the Nissan's. This comes in the Miranos and the Maximas as well. Apple CarPlay
and Android Auto come standard. I know everybody's thinking about that but really if you don't use
the music apps you don't really need it because you can do your maps here. You can do your audio.
Here you see we have the Sirius satellite radio. You can do your Bluetooth audio streaming right
from your phone or the regular AM FM. This one being the Platinum model it's going to come with
the Bose audio sound system and that's going to give you 11 speakers. Standard comes with
eight speakers but with the upgraded sound you get the 11 speakers
and it sounds great throughout the car. Really great acoustics throughout the
vehicle. The other thing I like about this screen is when I put it in reverse
I mentioned the cameras outside. We do have the backup camera and the around view monitor so it's
you all four sides. It does have the guidelines as I turn the wheel and it does have the moving
object detection. This one comes with the Nissan Intelligent Mobility which gives you
all the safety features. Your blind spot monitor, your lane departure warning, your forward emergency
braking and your pedestrian detection. If I push this button I can get a front angle.
It's going to have the pedestrian and forward emergency braking and the rear emergency
braking so it will stop if you get close to hitting something. You have to be very close for
the car to stop but with all the sensors going off it's very very hard to hit something in this
vehicle. As I go down a little lower we have Nissan's dual temperature control. Nothing's
changed there that's pretty much standard in all these higher end Nissan vehicles. You can have one
side hot and one side cold and then you have your front and rear defoggers. Right in front of our
shifter is our push button start. We have two USBs, a USB-C, a regular USB and an auxiliary input.
Right here is for our heating and air conditioned seats so there is the heating and the cooled seats
perfect for the summer and the winter. I really like this wood trim that they have throughout
the vehicle. With this cashmere package and some of the older models the 2017s and 18s you had this
weird trim. It was like a white and beige trim. I'm very happy they replaced it with this wood.
It contrasts very good with the black accents throughout the car. Now guys check out this
massive sunroof that goes with the Murano. You can't even see how far back it goes but this
front one will open up to the environment and the back one panoramic roof goes pretty much all the
way to the back. You can see how far it goes. That's a lot a lot of light in the car. It makes the car
feel a lot bigger. Here we are in the back and this is where the Murano really shines. There's a
lot of interior passenger volume. A lot of space for your passengers. These two seats are heated.
That diamond quilt continues in the rear. Very comfortable rear seats. We also have heated seats
and USB chargers in the back. Ventilation. There's a little spot for me to store my phone right in
front of me here. So there's a ton of space. Lots of cup holders as well. Perfect for long drives.
Again for a small crossover there's a lot of cargo space. 32 cubic feet when you have these seats
folded up. There's a little bit of hidden storage with your spare tire and on the sides. I can fold
the seats down using the lever and that's going to give me about 60 cubic feet. My only beef that I
have with these new Platinum Muranos, they got rid of the automatic comeback seat. So you could push
button on the 2017-18 models and the seats would automatically come up. Why would you take that
out Nissan? We are lazy consumers. We don't want to have to walk around and lift this seat up.
Customers really like that power folding seat that you could do right from the back here.
They took that out for this year's model. I don't know why but there it is. So there it is guys.
