Twin Arrows Trading Post serves as a beacon of the many abandoned roadside attractions the dot the old and nearly forgotten route 66. I little fun fact is that this trading post while still in operation was used as the backdrop for A quick scene in very famous movie from the mid 1990's, 1994 to be exact called Forrest Gump. So come check out the video as we explore the ruins of the Twin Arrows Trading Post and line up the shot from Forrest Gump.

History:
Built-in the late 1940s as Canyon Padre Trading Post, the store soon changed its name to Twin Arrows. It was then that the iconic wooden arrows were built, planted in the parking lot to guide motorists to the trading post’s doors. The post included a gas station, gift shop, and a Valentine’s diner. Twin Arrows operated under different owners as best it could until 1995 when it was finally abandoned. Currently, the land is owned by the state of Arizona, while the buildings are owned by the Hopi tribe.
