Hello guys, welcome back to my channel.
Welcome to today's video.
Today, I'm going to be introducing a new brand to the channel.
We will be testing out Luna Beauty by Mani MUA.
I saw their Nude Moon collection.
I mentioned it in a purchase of past,
and I thought it was just so pretty that I thought,
why not this collection be the first product I try from the brand?
I've heard really great things about the brand as well.
So I have it here.
I recently made a purchase.
I was waiting for the lip oils to come back in stock.
So I got one of them and I got a couple of other goodies as well.
So I have three looks for you,
and I'm going to share all of my thoughts on each of the products.
So with that being said, let's go ahead and hop right into the review.
So let me share with you what I picked up.
So I first got the Nude Prism eyeshadow palette.
It comes with 18 shades and it's 48 US dollars.
And then I also got the Nude Prism blush palette.
So this comes with six matte blushes.
And this goes for 35 US dollars.
And then I got one of his lip glosses in the shade Dreamy.
This is 17 US dollars.
I don't think this one is part of the collection, but the lip oil.
I got it in Dear Me, which is the peach-scented one.
And this is 18 US dollars.
And I did use Angelica's code to save a bit of money off.
I think it was 10%.
So I'll leave her code here if you guys want to use it as well.
It is affiliated, so she will receive a small commission from that.
But why not save a bit of money, right?
And then for shipping, if you guys live internationally, I think it's always nice to mention.
So I think I paid about 15 US for shipping.
I used to think 15 US for shipping was expensive.
I mean, it is still expensive.
But I think if you just live internationally, this is kind of the price that we kind of expect to pay.
So yeah, it was $15.
And I think it came within, like, two-ish weeks.
I can't remember exactly, but it wasn't too long.
So yeah, that's my thoughts on the whole ordering process.
But let's talk about the palette first, shall we?
Again, I will admit, the packaging did sell me.
Like, the cherry blossoms, the moon, the pinks, the...
Ah, just love it.
I feel like, man, he does such a great job with this packaging.
And I think that's why I got pulled in.
But when you open it up, you get a really, really big-sized mirror.
Like, my whole face and my chest.
Like, you can see everything.
Like, the mirror is huge.
And then inside, we have a beautiful, neutral, everyday palette with 12 mattes and 6 shimmers.
So the top and bottom row are all mattes, and the middle row are all shimmers.
I feel like this layout is very easy for a beginner.
And I feel like this palette is definitely someone that maybe doesn't have a big makeup collection.
Because all of these shades definitely, you know, you could say are basic.
I wouldn't say basic.
I don't think neutrals are basic.
They are the basics.
Like, the base, if that makes sense.
But yeah, I think this palette is absolutely beautiful.
I didn't get to use every single shade within my three looks.
But all the shades I did get to use, I didn't have any issues with.
So just overall, the color story, I really like.
You get some nice, light transitions, some mid-tones, and then some darker shades here.
But like, these three darker shades, I feel like it's just so essential for me.
Because I always smoke out my wing.
I always do my wing with my eyeshadows.
So you kind of just have almost everything you would want in an everyday palette from one palette on its own.
And especially, you have a big mirror as well.
That's a bonus.
I will say, just talking about shade-wise first.
We'll get into the formula soon.
Shade-wise, I think the transition shadows, they come off very, very light.
And I have, like, a light to medium-ish skin tone.
And even I think this is extremely light.
So imagine if you had a deeper complexion.
I think that would work better maybe as a highlight rather than, like, a transition shadow.
But there is, like, there's four shades here.
1, 2, 3, 4.
They are all, you know, very, very light on the skin.
Some of it doesn't even show up on my skin tone.
But then to speak about the formula.
For the mattes, I feel like they are pretty hardly pressed in.
Which means they are not very loose if we can compare it to, like, the Anastasia one.
Anastasia mattes, I feel like, are very loosely pressed.
So that's why when you, like, swatch it with your finger, so much fallout comes out of it.
Because it's so buttery and so smooth because it's loosely packed.
Which means you are getting more pigmentation.
So these ones, I feel like, are pretty hardly pressed.
Which means you won't get any kickback in the pant or on the eyes.
Like, there is no fallout even with the darker shadows.
Not in my experience.
Which means when you are applying the shadows, they tend to come off a little bit more sheer and buildable.
So again, for the beginner, I think that is great.
And once you do build on, like, you get pigment.
It's very, very pretty.
It's very soft.
Like, this palette is very, very soft to me.
But you can go quite dark.
I did show you a look where you can go quite dark with it.
And then for the row of shimmers.
So I got to play with, I think, maybe five of them.
No, four of them.
I only got to play with four of them.
So the four that I played with.
And I'm gonna assume that's gonna be the case for all six of the shimmers.
But these are...
Honestly, they kind of remind me of a super shock shadow.
Where it's not, like, a true foil, like, metallic, like, one swipe.
And you get that really opaque base.
These have more of a lighter base.
And they have a lot of little micro glitters popping through.
So similar to the super shocks.
I mean, some super shocks are a little bit more foiled than others.
But generally, I feel like that's sort of the vibe you get.
Like, I do have extra glitter on my eyes right now.
But you can see that just the base.
There's a lot of sparkles in there.
And it's just, like, very sheer almost.
Like, almost eyeshadow toppers.
I wasn't really expecting that.
Because I don't know.
When I think of Manny, I was thinking more, like, pigment, pigment, pigment all the way.
So when I was using this palette, I wasn't really expecting, like, the mattes to be so buildable.
And then the shimmers being a little bit more, like, micro rather than it being metallic foiled.
I guess I was just not expecting this kind of formula from him.
Just from his, like, you know, super glam style.
And even, like, when you look at the pan, they almost have, like, a really, really slight putty texture.
So that's what I mean.
It reminds me of the super shocks.
But maybe just, like, in a pressed form.
Like, when you put your brush in, I don't have that, like, indent that I have with, like, my other metallics.
Unless they're super, super soft.
So, yeah.
These are very, very soft.
A lot of micro shimmers in there.
If anything, with the metallics, I would have loved a little bit more range.
Because these metallics are more like shimmers.
Okay, I should stop saying metallics.
They're more like shimmers.
You know, once it's on the eyes.
Because there's not, like, such a big, huge difference in the depth and the shade of all of the metallics.
They can kind of look the same on the eyes.
Those are just my overall thoughts since it's my first time talking about Luna Beauty on my channel.
So you guys can get an idea of how I feel about the formulations and my experience on it.
I will say, though, I wore this palette out over the weekend.
I didn't film the looks.
I will put photos up here, though, if you guys want to see the looks I did with it.
It's pretty basic.
This is what I would normally do.
Love the look, how it turned out.
But, you know, usually, I'm not saying this to, like, get comments from you guys.
Usually, in public, people will compliment my makeup.
They won't really compliment, like, me.
Like, you know what I mean?
I don't know. This might come off weird.
But we watched a movie last weekend.
And then we came out.
And this girlโ
I thought she recognized who I was or something.
Because she wasโI could see her, like, coming to approach me.
And I was, like, mentallyโ
Like, my social awkwardness was, like, trying to get prepared.
Like, what am I gonna say?
And then she just came up to me and said,
You are so pretty.
Like, you are so sunny.
And I was, like, I think it was my eyeshadow.
Seriously, I think it was the shadow.
So I'm, like, I want to wear this palette all the time now.
After that happened.
Because I never get that kind of comment.
Like, really.
Like, ever in public.
It's not me. I'm not that girl.
Like, people will compliment my makeup.
Like, oh, your eyeshadow is so pretty.
But not, like, me as a person, you know?
So I was, like, okay.
I'm gonna be wearing this palette all the time now.
Because someone complimented me.
And then we move into the blush palette.
So this one is giving me more, like, nighttime feels.
Because of the blue background.
This is, like, you know, in the daytime.
We love it.
It's a similar packaging style.
And you also have a really decent-sized mirror.
Like, my whole face will pop up in this mirror.
And then here we have six beautiful matte blushes.
I will say that this one, I think it might be five matte blushes.
This one doesn't look completely matte.
It looks a little bit satin.
So maybe five mattes and then one satin.
It's just that I haven't used this blush yet.
I only got to use one, two, three, four.
So these two at the outer corner.
Blaze and Zae Zae.
And I feel like for powder blushes,
it's really, really hard to stuff it up, in my opinion.
I feel like powder blushes are really, really easy to get right.
Cream blushes, another story.
I think it does have quite a unique choice of blushes.
I feel like you have one for kind of every occasion.
And what I like about blush palettes is that you can mix and match like I did today.
I mixed the shade Kawaii and Beauty.
So if you want something a bit brighter,
something a little bit more neutral,
if you want something more pinky,
you have the options here.
So I don't have much to say on this palette, really.
I mean, they don't have much to say on the website either.
So I think it's a great blush palette.
Is it anything like, wow?
No.
But then again, I've only used it three times within my looks.
I haven't had the chance to use it, you know, in my day-to-day life.
I'm gonna keep this one out on my vanity and get my use out of it.
And maybe, maybe I'll fall in love with it more.
But yeah, it's a good blush palette.
But I don't think it's anything like, you know,
I didn't find my favorite, favorite blush in this palette.
But then again, I haven't used the two shades.
So we'll see.
And then I picked up two of his lip products.
So I got the Lip Oil and then the Lip Gloss.
I'll talk about the Lip Oil first,
since I believe this is part of, like, the Nude Prism collection.
So I got mine in Dear Me, which is the peach-scented one.
And by the way, this peach scent is just pure perfection.
It's like peach bubblegum.
I absolutely love it.
The packaging as well.
Like, I just want to keep this in my purse.
And when I'm out, just whip this out.
I'm like, uh-huh.
Do you see? Do you see? Do you see my little gloss?
It is so, so pretty.
Like, this is Sailor Moon's Lip Oil, Lip Gloss.
Like, this is what Sailor Moon would hold.
And I just think it's so fitting with his brand.
So it claims to be non-sticky, which I agree.
And then it's a reflective, transparent lip oil,
which I really appreciate them writing on the side that it's transparent.
Because I think sometimes, and again, especially if you're a beginner,
you might look at the packaging and it looks pink.
And then you're expecting it to come out pink on your lips.
But typically, with glosses and lip oils,
they pretty much are all transparent.
So I'm glad they did write that it is a transparent gloss.
But it is super, super reflective.
Probably the most reflective lip oil I have.
Maybe the most reflective gloss I have.
Like, this would work great as a gloss.
I did want to mention that the applicator,
it is a little bit big.
It's bigger than what I'm used to.
But it's really easy to apply.
Super, super hydrating.
But just remember that these do have a scent.
So if you are sensitive with scents on your lips,
sometimes I am.
I didn't have any issues with this, though.
But yeah, just keep that in mind.
They are all scented.
I think the other one, there was a mango one.
And I can't remember the other flavor, but I'm a peach girl.
So the other claim was that it's super hydrating.
Would agree.
And it locks in moisture.
Would agree.
So it has shea butter, jojoba seed oil, and camellia oil.
So that all sounds amazing.
It's a really great lip product.
And I think, honestly, for what you're paying, like $18,
I think it's definitely worth it.
And then I just picked up a gloss,
because I thought, why not?
Like, the packaging is a little bit different.
The gloss, it's, like, more white.
And then the crystal inside is white.
And then the lip oil, it's more pinky and mauve.
So the lip gloss shade I got is Dreamy,
which is a really light, peachy color.
So again, with these kind of glosses,
it has the same applicator, by the way.
But with these kind of glosses,
they do have, like, a really, really slight tint to it.
Like, it's a tinted gloss.
So don't expect these to be so opaque.
Don't expect it to come off, like, orange on your lips.
It's more of, like, a transparent tinted lip gloss.
And these are really pretty as well.
They're not as intense and reflective as the lip oil.
So if you like that reflectiveness, get the lip oil.
This one just gives you a really nice, pouty gloss.
So it says that it's weightless, which I would agree.
These are so lightweight, so comfortable on the lips.
I also don't find these too sticky either.
And it says that it's a hydrating lip treatment as well.
So that's great too.
And then it has a glossy finish.
I would definitely agree.
I think the gloss is great.
I just really love this.
I mean, I think this has a...
So the gloss does have a scent as well.
Where have I smelled this scent?
Which of my products has this smell?
It's very, very sweet and bakery-like.
What? Is it one from Colourpop that has this smell?
I definitely have a lip product that has a smell.
And it's on the tip of my tongue.
But I cannot pinpoint.
So that was pretty much my little haul from Luna Beauty.
These are the products that I picked up.
Those were my thoughts on everything.
I think overall, everything performed well.
I really enjoyed everything.
And it's just a bonus that everything is so pretty and aesthetically pleasing.
If I had to pick a favorite, I would probably go for the Eyeshadow Palette.
Because I feel like that compliment I just got in real life really, like, solidify my thoughts about this palette.
My love language is words of affirmation, by the way.
So...
And then I would say probably the lip oil.
I really, really love this lip oil.
It's super, super hydrating.
And the packaging is just so pretty as well.
So I feel like these two are my favorite.
But of course, the blush palette and the gloss are really nice too.
Oh my gosh, everything's just so pretty!
But okay, now that you know my thoughts on everything,
if you want some inspo, I have three looks for you.
So with that being said, let's hop into those three looks.
All right, so for the first look, I was inspired by this look from Jellybean on Instagram.
I'll have her Instagram link down below.
But I absolutely love her makeup style and I really wanted to recreate this look.
So I thought with this palette, it would be perfect.
So I'm starting off with the shade, I'm Shy.
And this is going to be the base, the transition shadow.
On me, it pretty much just blends into my skin.
Like, it's just maybe half a shade darker than my skin.
So you can kinda see it.
But it really does blend into my skin tone.
So you really don't see that.
But it does work really good as just an overall color and base for the eye look.
Next, I'm going into the shade, Vibes.
And I'm just gonna focus this at the outer corners of my eyes.
Just building a little bit of depth.
And as you can also see that this shade is also quite light on me as well.
This probably would work better as a transition rather than, like, deepening up an eye look.
But this look is very soft and, like, whimsical.
So using the softer shades does work really well.
So I'm just focusing that at the outer corners of my eyes.
And then I'll also take that onto my lower lash line as well.
Just mainly at the outer corner once again.
And now going into the shade, Moody, which is the dark chocolate brown in the palette.
I'm gonna use this for my wing.
So I'm using an angled brush.
And I'm gonna be creating more of a dramatic wing because that's part of the inspired look.
So just creating my outer wing here.
And then I will line my lash line as well with this dark brown eyeshadow.
And now I'm going in with a white eyeliner.
The one I'm using is from Glisten Cosmetic.
And I'm going to sort of outline that wing, like, that triangle at the outer corners here.
This looks really cool and pretty because it just enhances that wing and really highlights that.
It's a really simple detail to add in.
So I'm also gonna take that white eyeliner and also create a line just above my crease.
So I definitely could have taken this line a little bit higher just because I do have uneven eyes.
My other eye was a little bit higher than the one I'm doing here.
But just creating a line following the natural curve of my eye shape.
Sort of like how you would do a cut crease.
And now I'm taking the shade, So Icy, which is the lightest metallic in the palette.
And it almost does have, like, a very subtle putty feeling to it.
But we are gonna place this wherever we put that white eyeliner.
So I'm gonna take that above my crease, like, above that white line that we drew.
And just tapping it out around there.
It has a lot of little micro glitters, so that's perfect.
It works really great as a base.
And it's also just going to highlight that eyeliner as well.
I do take it on a blending brush just to get it more scattered out and more diffused.
But now I'm gonna go into my Alessia Tap Me palette and take the pressed glitter in here.
This is just going to bring the look together.
Adding more textures to the eye look with these more chunkier glitters.
It really just completes the look.
So pretty much just putting that on top of So Icy.
I almost forgot. I do take So Icy, like, on my eye bags.
Like, sort of, like, as glitter tears is what I want to call it.
Then going into the Nude Prism blush palette.
I'll be taking the shade, Peachy, for my blush today.
It does come off, like, a little bit more peachy pink on me.
I thought it would be a little bit more to the peachy side.
But nonetheless, it is a really, really beautiful shade and a beautiful formula.
So just applying that to the apples of my cheeks.
Blending that back.
And then also a little bit onto my nose as well.
And then for lips, I'm just taking the lip gloss.
I got the shade, Dreamy.
And I'm applying this on top of my ColourPop Just a Tint Lip Crayon in the shade, Peach Surprise.
Alright, so here we have the first look completed.
I've always wanted to recreate this look from Jelly Bean.
It's been in my screenshot folders for a long time.
I think this look kind of went viral on TikTok as well.
But I absolutely love how it turned out.
I love this very subtle technique.
And I think with a palette like this where you have a lot of neutrals,
there's just so many different things you could do.
And doing these little graphic liners really adds to the look and elevates the look.
So I love how it turned out.
I love all the sparkles and glitters.
So hopefully, you guys enjoyed this first look as well.
Alright, hopping into the second look.
I'm starting off with the shade, Vibes.
This is going to be the base, the transition for our eye look.
So I'm just sweeping that all over my lid first.
And then I'll slowly blend that up into my crease towards the brow bone and also towards the outer corners as well.
Just getting a really light wash of this color all over.
And then I'm also gonna take that onto my lower lash line as well.
Just sweeping that all around.
Next, going into the shade, Bloom For You, which is the deep burgundy purple.
This is going to be the shade for our wing.
It's a beautiful, beautiful deep plum shade.
So I'm creating my outer wing here first.
And then I'm gonna align it along onto my lower lash line.
So that way, it has a seamless blend into each other.
It just flows.
The cat eye looks very, very natural.
Not natural, but like, it flows naturally is what I'm trying to say.
There's nothing natural about this look.
This look is very sultry, which I love.
And I think it just makes your eyes pop.
Then I'm going into the shade, Sakura.
And I'm gonna use this to smoke out and blend out and diffuse out the burgundy shade.
Because this shade has a little bit of a reddish undertone to it.
I think it complements that burgundy shade.
And from here, this is where the look is going to get very, very smoky and just super, super sultry.
This is such a beautiful fall look.
I love it.
And it's so easy to do.
And then lastly, for eyeshadow, I'm taking the shade Sam.
And I'm gonna tap that onto pretty much my entire lid space.
I'm not gonna go over the wing though.
I want to keep the wing matte.
So this is mainly going above my crease and a little bit on my lid space.
This does have a light, like, pinky mauve undertone to it.
So I think it matches the burgundy shade really well.
But you can see the little micro glitters do reflect silver.
So it is a super, super pretty metallic shade.
Then going into the blush palette, I'll be taking the shade Pink Prince.
And I'm gonna apply that to the apples of my cheeks.
And blending that back towards my cheekbones.
This shade in the pan definitely looks a little bit more mauve-y and almost like a cool-tone lilac.
But I would say once it's on my cheeks, it translates a little bit more to just a cool-tone pink shade.
Almost like a true pink.
It's still super, super pretty.
And I think it complements the look perfectly.
All right.
So here we have the second look completed.
For this look, I definitely wanted to show you guys how deep you could go with this palette.
So I wanted to create something very smoky, very sultry.
I love the diversity you can get out of this palette and how deep you can go with the look.
So this is a good example.
I love how the look turned out.
And I hope you guys also like it too.
And finally, onto the last look.
I'm starting off with the shade Cherry Blossom as my transition, as my base.
Just sweeping that all over the lids, blending that up into the crease towards the brow bone.
And also towards the outer corners, just getting this all over our eyes.
It's a super light pale pink, which is really going to set the tone for our eye look.
So I'm also going to take that onto my lower lash line as well, just sweeping that all over.
Next, I'm going into the shade Apricot.
And I'm going to focus this at the outer corners of my eyes.
I think the mix of Apricot and Cherry Blossom, it just gives such a pretty, soft, romantic shade that I love.
I didn't think the warm orange mix with the pink would go well, but I think it's literally perfection.
I absolutely love it.
So I'm also going to take that onto my lower lash line as well, but mainly just at the outer corner there.
So Apricot is just at the outer corner.
Next, I'm going into Expose.
And I'm going to apply that to the inner third of my lid space.
Expose is a really pretty orange-y gold with a flip of pink to it a little bit.
It has a lot of dimension in there, but it fits this look perfectly.
I think the shimmer just matches this look to the T.
So I also take that into my inner corners as well to highlight.
And then again onto my lower lash line, but only at the inner third.
And then I'm actually going to take my Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter in the shade Grind.
And I'm going to apply this along my crease, just, like, tapping it in with the glitter so I can get them really scattered.
I kind of just want to enhance, like, my eye shape a little bit.
And just putting that along that crease line just really emphasizes my eye shape, which I actually quite like.
Um, and the glitters are more pinky.
So again, it matches well with this look.
But lastly, to complete off the look, I'm taking the shade Moody, the dark brown, to create my wing.
So glad that there is a dark brown in here where I can just create my wing.
I do mix it in with a little bit of Deeper, which is the matte black.
But this will complete the eye look.
And then moving into cheeks, going into the blush palette, I'm taking a mixture of Kawaii and Beauty.
I thought that Kawaii might be a little bit too bright for this look, um, because I mainly want to focus it on the eyes.
So I'm mixing it with Beauty, which is a nice mid-tone peachy shade.
It kind of balances each other out.
And here we have the final look completed.
Of course, had to do a pink look to match the collection.
You guys know how much I love wearing pink, so I absolutely adore this look.
And this technique and everything is just what I would typically do on my days off as well.
So I'm really happy with how this look turned out, and I hope you guys like it too.
Alright guys, so those are my three looks.
What do you guys think? Which one was your favorite?
I feel like all three, seriously, were so different from each other.
I really try to play around with different techniques for you and just spice things up, give you more inspo.
So hopefully you guys enjoyed those three looks.
And also, if you guys did enjoy today's video and you found it helpful,
if you could give the video a thumbs up for me, I'd appreciate it so much.
Thank you guys so much for watching as always.
I love you, and I'll see you in my next video.
Bye!
