In today's tutorial I'll be walking you through how to achieve a natural glam makeup look so if you're struggling at home
You're a beginner even if you're a makeup artist and you want to polish up your work. This is gonna be the video for you
I'm gonna be very detailed walking you through step by step. So if you're interested grab your brushes, let's get right into it
So the first thing I'm gonna be doing is her eyebrows
So when it comes on to natural glam less is more so you just want to get some brow glue
This one is from NYX. This is the crazy lift
Okay, my favorites and you just want to apply some in the brow
Then when you're done, you just want to brush it through the brow
Okay
This is gonna help to make your brows look more sculpted more defined and it shows you where you need to fill in
Plenty of us only have like certain places where we need filling in
So for example me I have a whole gap in this region here
But lucky for us our beautiful model she has really great brows
So we don't really need to do too much and if you have nice full brows
Please don't do anything to them because that's gonna keep the look looking very natural. Okay guys
Okay, so now we're gonna move to the skin. So this is a touch of dewy milk moisturizer my favorites because it's like more lightweight
But it still gives a lot of hydration. Yeah, so I'm just gonna put some on to her face
Look up for me
When it comes out to natural makeup or any type of makeup
Actually, the skin prep is like literally the one of the most important steps because if you don't moisturize your skin properly
The makeup is gonna go on and it's not going to blend in nicely. It's gonna look a bit dry and cakey
So, please get a really hydrating moisturizer and rub it in really well
So now we're gonna go in with the primer and this is my fave
This is Vanessa Maric's Universal Blurring Balm. And when I tell you guys this is gonna help to blur the pores
It's gonna give the face that extra boost of hydration
But at the same time it's also gonna create a barrier so that you don't get as oily and it's gonna smooth out your pores
So for me, it's like a win-win-win-win-win-win. I love that about it. So I'm just gonna get this all over the face
Okay
So now before we go in with foundation anything we want to go ahead and color correct now if you don't know what it is
Don't go running off. I got you
This is what we do when a person has dark circles, so if you have dark circles
She doesn't really have too much dark circles or anything
But I want to show you guys because a lot of people have this so if you have dark circles or darkness around your mouth
Or any hyperpigmentation, you know any grayness on the face
You can go in with a concealer that has a cool undertone now how to know when a concealer has a cool undertone
You can just go into the makeup store and ask them for concealer to color correct
Okay, or you could ask them for one that has a cool undertone. So this concealer here has a cool undertone and
We're just gonna apply it here, but here's the thing
If you don't have a concealer to color correct
You can just use a concealer that matches your skin tone
The last thing you want to do is cover up dark circles with a really bright concealer. It's not gonna work
It's gonna make the the darkness look even even weird. It's gonna give it like a gray bad-looking look
Yeah, please use a concealer that matches your skin or a concealer that's your skin tone but has a cool undertone to it
Okay, so that's what it's gonna look like
Okay, nothing bright and then we can just go right in and blend now to blend. I'm using this brush from Real Techniques
This is called the powder setting brush. But because today we're doing like a natural glam look we are going to be sweeping
Okay, and she doesn't really have much dark circles either
So it's okay to sweep the concealer because this is gonna give a more natural look
If you have really bad dark circles, you can make the concealer dry down a bit more and then pat it
Okay, the patting is gonna give you more coverage
But for her, we don't really need that much. So I'm sweeping the concealer when you sweep your concealer
It's gonna give a more natural look because it's kind of like blending out the concealer really thin versus when you're patting
Okay, so in this video we'll be doing more sweeping
I usually pat a lot because I want more of a full coverage look but today we're sweeping for more natural look
Okay guys, and as you guys can see one dot of concealer under the eyes is more than enough
You guys sometimes are applying way too much makeup. It's not necessary. Okay. Okay, so that's what that's what the makeup is looking like
Right now, but here's the thing. I'm gonna use some on top of her eyelids as well
Because I do see a bit of darkness here as well. So we're just gonna use the concealer just to cover that
Okay, I'm just gonna sweep it around and as you can see one dot of concealer is actually too much
A little goes a long way and guys I'm using the Kiehl Beauty Skin Essential Concealer in shade number eight
This is wonderful because it looks like skin. It's medium to full coverage
So what that means is it just just it doesn't just go on looking like a layer of paint. It goes on
It looks natural. It's creamy
It's easy to blend and if you want more coverage
You just have to add a bit more or let it dry down a bit. See open your eyes for me, darling
See, that's what it look like
Like you you put effort in you know, yes. Yeah, I like you. I appreciate you. I do. I really do
All right. So now we're gonna be doing a bit of sculpting but a very natural looking sculpt
So we're not gonna go too dark with it. Okay, we kind of just want it to match her shoulder region here
Okay, this is gonna be the Kiehl Beauty Sun Sculpt Bronzing Stick in shade toffee
So if you're not one of those girls that's into the super deep red looking bronzers
This is gonna be good for you. If you're her skin tone. Okay, this is more of a natural look actually
I'm going to show you two ways of applying it
So one way is you can just simply go ahead and draw this line on the face like this
Okay, you see that?
That's one way of applying it
But then another way which is way easier and and big enough friendly is just to get some of this bronzer on the back of your
Hand like this
Okay, and grab a brush. So a more beginner friendly way of doing this is you can apply the bronzer on the back of your hand
Like this then you can blend the bronzer onto the brush. Okay
See so you can go directly into the bronzer
Onto the back of your hand like this because look at what it will look at what I'm doing
I'm patting out the bronzer in the back of my hand to get it evenly dispersed on the brush
That way by the time you go ahead and pat it onto the face
It's just gonna be blended out perfectly for you. You don't have to do no hold for extra work to blend it out
Okay, because sometimes people struggle with the lines. See that's that nice warmth that it brings
So the placement for this is right here by the temples of the forehead so the side of the forehead here
Okay, and then on the cheekbone on the actual cheekbone so you can apply this on the lower part of the cheekbone
But guys, please don't put it in the hollow region. You want you want it actually
Kissing your cheekbone. Okay, right
Turning it back to the front for me now. Yes
So that's a simple way of getting some bronzer done and then here's another tip for you
You see if you're applying it and for some strange reason your bronzer is not the right shade. It's too dark. It's too muddy
I don't know what's going on, right?
And you need to like get some of the product off the brush simple always have a napkin handy
Wipe the brush into the napkin. It's gonna act as an eraser. All right, and then when you go back onto the face
You can tap the edges out gently. Okay, you see how I'm tapping the edges
Because what that's gonna do is going to give you a nice soft diffused look it's gonna tone down the bronzer for you
Okay, so that's what that looks like
All right good. So now we have the easier side. This is another way to blend
Okay
So the benefit of doing this side is the placement because once you put on the bronzer like this you can just pat it in place
Okay, and once you pat it in place
Then you're gonna get really nice bronzer placement that is gonna lift the face and bronze the face nicely
So that's the benefit of doing it this way
But as I said, if you're a beginner just please try this way first and then you can advance this one later
But to be honest with you, I like both ways
I love how dramatic this this side is when you draw it on but I love the blend of this side. It's so nice
So let me know guys what which one do you guys do at home?
Do you draw the line or do you blend it off on the back of your hand first?
Okay, so see that's blended and to blend out the bronzer and notice guys. I'm just patting. I'm not dragging the bronzer
I'm patting the bronzer in place and then I go along the edges and just pat it out to soften it
Okay
So now we have that
We are just gonna get some bronzing on the nose because why not and for this because we want precision
We are going to go for a concealer brush. So a brush that looks like this
You see that guys like a flat concealer brush
We're just gonna get some of the bronzer on the brush
Wipe away the excess because you don't need too much and then we're just gonna do like this. We're gonna draw two lines here
Okay
Now if your bronzer is really really dark for you
Please don't put this on your nose because your nose is in the center of your face
And if you put this thing on your nose, that's way darker than you
It's gonna look really dramatic and it's gonna be hard to blend out. So guys, please
Be mindful. Okay, so I put a V here. So it's like we do a V like this
See right here by the nose bridge going towards underneath the eyebrows a bit and we do a V here
Then we put a U here. I just like to do it this way. It looks more natural. I'm not even gonna lie to you
It looks nicer, but it's it's strange because as soon as I start to blend it's just gonna become one line anyways
But this is just how I like to put it on
Yeah. Alright, so now to blend it out. Honestly to blend it you can just use your fingers you got at home
Just use your fingers guys
So use your ring finger and you just start at this line here and then you just drag it along the line like you like
You're just following the line and you drag it to blend it up because you don't need that line
Just they're sitting on your face. It has to be blended and notice because I didn't use too much. I broke up the
Broke it up into like little sections. It's less products
It was way easier for me to blend it out you see and then that's how we want it. Okay
Cool so everything is easy to follow right now, right guys
All right guys, so now for the under I am grabbing the Kier Beauty Skin Essential Concealer in shade number seven
Okay, so this is one shade down from the color correcting concealer and I'm just gonna get one little dot here
Oh my god, the dot is too big
It's too big and then look how I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna get some on the forehead like this
And look straight ahead and I'm just gonna bring the line on to the nose bridge a bit like this and literally
That's all we need guys. Like you guys have been fooled
You guys have been using too much product. Actually, let's have some fun
I'm not gonna be using any foundation because foundation is honestly not always necessary. I'm not going to lie to you
So what we're going to do instead is just put a dot of concealer turn it to the side for me
Right on in her cheekbone. This is gonna help to clean up on a cheekbone. Okay, and then the other side for me
It's gonna put a dot here. Okay, then we can just put one dot here and here
This is if you have smile lines, this is gonna help to get rid of that. She doesn't have that
But yeah, that's what that is for. So let's blend out the line underneath the cheekbone first
You guys so easy that is and do you see what's happening? It's helping to clean up the bronzer
So the bronzer will just be looking perfect
You see that see guys how good that look like look look at that cheekbone like look at how it pops now
Okay, so now we're just gonna move right here and clean up this region here and see I'm using the same brush from Real Techniques
The powder setting brush and I am just brushing around gently
Okay, and you see how it's just like making everything look so polished you see so you don't always need foundation guys
Look at that. Look how lightweight that is
Mm-hmm turn here to the front now, and I'm just gonna do the same thing to the other side
All right guys, so now we are gonna blend out this one in the center here and we just gonna see
I'm just going against the edge and just softening softening it out
Okay
No, so you're only gonna be able to swipe your brush like this so easily if you have not too much product on your face
See like that and then to blend out this region here that's going towards the bronzer
We want to go back for the same brush that we used to blend the bronzer and whatever is left on the brush
Okay, don't add no more product to it. You're just gonna blend the edge
The section of it where the bronzer is blending into the concealer. Okay?
Okay, guys, so I'm gonna stop right here because I decided that I want to clean up. Is this the right concealer?
I decided that I want to clean up above her brows a bit. Yeah, so you can clean up above the brow a bit
So I'm just getting some of the same concealer on a brush
Okay, not too much and I'm just dragging it above the brow now, here's the thing please use a concealer that matches your skin tone
Because if you make this concealer too light, it can look a bit much. Okay?
So the concealer I'm using in the center of her face right now. It isn't too bright
So that's as well as able to use it and then you just use the same brush and just blend out the edges like this
Okay, so that's an optional step. You can definitely skip that step if you're a super beginner now
We're gonna go down the bridge of the nose with the same brush
So we're just gonna blend up and down like this. Nothing crazy. All right, guys
I'm not gonna lie to you after you blend out that line down the nose
You're gonna probably have to go back in and add back your bronzer lines. That's just normal
So I'm just gonna go back and add them in a bit
I'm just gonna use my ring finger to just
Tone it down
Now I don't if you realize but I left the under eye concealer
I'll leave it there just to dry it on a bit to give me more coverage. That was intentional
What I'm gonna be doing in the meantime is I'm gonna be adding a bit of liquid blush
Okay, so for liquid blush today, I'm gonna be using my favorites
I've just been so obsessed with this palette lately and this is the... I need Anissa Maric's to sponsor me because I really like her stuff
This is Anissa Maric's
Dewey cheek and lip palette. Oh my god. It's so good. I love it. It's so pretty
So we're gonna use this to pat on some blush onto her cheekbone
so honestly, don't overthink it you can just use a little brush like this, okay and
Let's use this color here. Okay, and we're just gonna pat it right here on the highest point of the cheekbone
So the highest point of the cheekbone is above where we put the bronzer
But no the blush is going on the highest point of the cheekbone and here's the thing also the same rule applies
You can get some blush on the brush
Pat it out on the back of your hand so that it doesn't have you looking clonish when you apply it onto your face
And then you just pat it on the highest point of your cheekbone like this and I kind of like to get it close to the eye
That's gonna give that lifted type of look
It's gonna lift your face up and it's gonna blend into your concealer really nicely if you kind of bring it close to the eye
You see that? Alright guys to blend out the under eye. So this eye guys got cut off
So I'm just gonna show you on this eye how to achieve this
So for the under eye, I'm gonna show you a different technique today. This is for a very natural look
Okay, look you just basically brush it out
We're not patting today with gently brushing against the tip of the bristles
so look it should it should feel like a feather like really light just barely brushing with the tip and
You just blend out the edges back and forth. Okay
See that guys, so I'm taking my time
Look straight ahead for me. See that
Then once we get the blend in the center region, we can just blend out the edges
So the edge right here, we're kind of meshing that into the blush. So we get a nice transition and
This way I love doing makeup this way cuz guy it just it's just so much it's so therapeutic doing it this way
Because it's like you're literally like an artist like you're more like moving your brush around like this rather than you know, rather than patting
But this I tell you is gonna give more of a natural look
Still glam but way more natural looking on your face like the concealer won't look super heavy or anything. You see that?
All right guys, so it looks perfect like we could really go ahead and continue from here
But this is just for my girlies who just want a bit of brightness under the eye
If you like a concealer to look like this, you can leave it like that by all means
I love it
But I just have to show you know so that we can accommodate everybody who's watching if you want to brighten
This is where you go in and brighten
You don't just go with a super bright concealer and hope to God it looks good
You build it up first use a color one to two shades lighter than the skin tone
You know something more natural looking then if you want to brighten you can go in with a lighter color
So this is K Beauty concealer shade number five. Okay, and I am literally gonna get like half a dot now like
Literally like actually less than half of that's the quarter dots
Because we don't need a lot. Okay, and the more you add the more unnatural it's gonna look
So now we're just gonna go ahead and sweep this color
right in the under eye region so you cannot just doing like a
Like a right angle triangle, you know, like a little triangle in this region here. That's how I want you to blend it
But this is gonna give way more coverage
So I have to make sure blend it out, right?
So I'm being gentle, but I'm moving my brush a lot
So it doesn't really feel like I'm moving too much on your face right with a brush. It's very soft, right?
Now what we're gonna do to ensure it comes up looking really dewy like skin
We're gonna spray the Morphe continuous prep and set mist. Okay, I
Love this mist because it's not too overwhelming. Some of the sprays just be wetting up everything so much
This one is not so much and it soaks into the skin really nicely
You want your skin to be having this dewy look before you continue. If your skin is not looking dewy
We need to spray it. We need to get some dew in it
That way when you put the powders on top the powders don't come up looking too dry
Okay, so that's the reason why we do this and how long to wait
You can just wait for it to soak onto the skin a bit. Alright, so to set
I'm gonna show you guys a method that is really foolproof, really simple, really easy
So I don't think I want to like super be setting down her face too much today
I don't think that's the look we're going for today. Okay, so look
We're gonna be going in using the Kiehl Beauty artist essential powder palette
This is what we're gonna use
So this has shades that you can use all over your face
You can use it as face powder, to set, to bronze, to contour as natural eyeshadow
You can use it for a lot. But now I'm gonna be mixing
I'm gonna be using this shade and this shade just a bit of both
Okay
So what you can do is if you're gonna use it to set your under eye
You want to use a color that's similar to the under eye and sometimes you're gonna have to mix
So for example for that I could use this color and this color
Okay, so this color mixing them with a little bit of white and you don't have to be over
You don't have to be scared because the powder is really sheer. It's really light
So when you put this onto the face, it's not gonna go and soak up all the oils right away
It's like a gentle set and then the more and more you add the more and more matte it will get
So that brings me to my next thing a little powder at a time
You don't need a lot. So say if you got a lot of powder on your brush, please don't go in right away
Cut off all that extra powder on the back of your hand because we don't need that
We just want a little bit because we want it to look natural and we don't want to dry out the under eyes
That's what some of you guys are doing. You guys are drying out the under eyes and using colors that are too light
Okay, so next tip before we go in and set we want to make sure look up for me darling
We just want to make sure that there are no creases. You just want to go ahead and blend out any creasing that's happening
Okay, very important. Don't move on until keep looking up babes
Don't move on until you blend out that under eye region you have to blend it out
Okay, so you can just brush against it like this or pat against it like this and that's the next thing
So if you have dark circles or something you want to cover you probably want to pat
But if you just went for a lighter makeup look dragging is fine
Okay, keep looking up for me darling, please cuz it's gonna crease if you look down
Okay, her under ear is so tiny. We can use a smaller brush actually guys. Let's use this one
This one gonna mix this brown here with this white part of the excess and we're just gonna pat
Right in the region here with small amount of powder at a time. Okay
You don't need too much
Make sure to work it into the back of your hand and then onto the face like this
Okay. So now we have that on the eyes set and I kind of want the cheeks to stay dewy
So I'm not really getting it there. I'm only getting it by the under eye region
I'm just going to set our own around her mouth as well. You can look straight ahead babes. Thanks
Yeah, so I'm gonna set her on her mouth a bit with the same two colors this way
Yeah
Cuz we don't really need there to be looking too shiny
Okay
So this is what I call like strategic powdering. Okay, cuz we want the dewy look
We don't want everywhere to be super matte. So it's like I'm only setting certain places. Okay?
Yeah, so the reason why we go with pressed powder first is if you struggle with creasing
This is gonna be a good method for you
So you don't want to just go in with loose powder
You want to you want to set it with pressed powder first, then we're gonna go in with a bit of loose powder
So this loose powder is from Huda Beauty. It's called banana bread and we're just gonna gently tap it in the region there. Okay?
Now I have to be careful where I put it. I need a smaller powder puff because I don't want everything to be
Matte okay, I kind of want the cheeks to stay dewy
So I'm just taking my time and only applying it right on the region
Now this time you can really pat in this loose powder because we're not gonna bake today
Okay, so because we're not gonna bake we can press this in
Now if you had wanted to bake this would be the time
So you would just play if you wanted to bake you just put the powder onto the face like this
Place it. Okay
Don't press it in you just place it and just leave it there for like a couple minutes and then wipe it away
That is how you bake. Okay, basically, so I'm just gonna get the same loose powder on her mouth and
By her chin region. Okay, you can get some of this on the forehead like this as well if you want
Okay, so even though we're going for a glowy look we want the makeup to be very long-wearing
So that's what the powder is gonna help with. It's gonna help with longevity of the makeup
See that shows you guys how to
gently set
With purse powder and then you go in with your loose powder to really lock it in
But then I also show you how to bake if you wanted to okay
Now we're gonna quickly go underneath the eyebrows and clean it up
Just because I want a more polished look and I'm gonna put a bit of bronze on her on her eyelids
So yeah
So this is the Kieh Beauty Skin Essential Concealer in shade 7 the same concealer that we use for our under eyes and everywhere
Close for me
And I'm only gonna get it right here by the arch region
This is gonna give us a nice lift
It's just gonna make the brow area look cleaner. Okay. Alright, so now we're gonna blend this out
Use your eyes for me. So I'm just going in with like a blending brush and just blending out the edge
Alright guys, so now for eyeshadow
I'm just gonna be using these two colors here from the artist essential powder palette
And I'm just gonna be applying it right here on her eyelid. Honestly, it's gonna be a very natural eye
Nothing crazy. The main thing is that you just want to keep the blend below the crease. Okay?
You don't want to blend above this crease region here open for me because that's gonna give a flattering look now
We're just gonna get look up for me now
We're just gonna get some of that same brown combo right on the hair just to frame the eyes
This is a nice soft way of getting like an eyeshadow look without without actually putting eyeliner
No, if you want eyeliner, you can go with eyeliner. This is just a brown eyeliner. Look up for me. Thanks
now we're just gonna get it in her waterline and
guys, if you want to you can go in with your with a brow pen and
Just create some hair like strokes in the brows. So this honestly, I didn't really need to do this
But I think if I added some hair like strokes here, we'll just make the brows look nicer. So that's why I'm doing it
No, if you're a beginner, I'm not gonna lie to you bro
Pen can be a bit challenging you have to kind of get used to it because you have to be very gentle
It's not really hard
But you have to like practice to flick it on the back of your hand first because you have to be gentle if you press
Too hard
It's gonna be a hot mess. Okay, so you have to take your time and
If this is too hard for you, you can just fill it in with with a brow pencil
Alright guys, so now we're doing some lip liner and this is from colour-pop. This one is called BFF 3
So now for the scent of the lip, I'm gonna be using the NYX soft matte lip cream in shade Athens
I'm just gonna do this give her lip a bit of color this for me my mama
Yeah
And then for gloss, we're gonna be using the NYX duck plump in shade banging bear
It's just gonna tingle a little I'm sorry
Okay
All right guys, so now we're gonna go with a bit of bronzer
So we're gonna be using a powder from the artist essential powder palette
So I'm just gonna be using this color here mix it with this color here and I'm just gonna pat some on to her forehead
Okay
Pat some on to the cheekbone where we apply the bronzer and guess what? I don't even need to use a lot
Because the bronzer color was just so pretty
Like the cream bronzer was so perfect so we don't even need too much but this is gonna help to add back
That vibrancy to the face. Okay, it's gonna help to to make the color pop more
Which is what we need. It's gonna make it more long-wearing as well
Alright guys, so now we're gonna go in with a little bit of blush on top
So we're just gonna go in using the care beauty barb blush palette the girlies favorite so good
I'm just gonna use the pink color here. I'm just gonna apply some right here
Okay, so I'm tapping it gently because I still want the cheek to look a little bit dewy
If you don't care for the dewy look you can just go right on top of it and matte it down
But I just kind of want my cheek to be a little dewy
All right. So now we're just gonna go in and brush off this powder right here
Just like this
Unbake and this is the part where you can go ahead with your blush and mesh the end of your blush like this into the
under-eye concealer
for that really flawless look
I'm just gonna use this to matte down any areas that need to be matted down. Oh
The nose guys, let's reinforce that nose contour. We forgot about that
I'm just gonna get this light color on the bridge of her nose like this
Now we're gonna go in with highlighter, so this is the care beauty highlighter palette
I love it, and I'm just gonna get this golden one here. So guys, this is such a good palette
Especially because it has all the colors in it
You're gonna see what it does for the nose. We're just gonna get some right by the front of the eye
Get to give the eye a nice highlighted look. I just love that look so much. Okay, just a little bit
And then we can get some on the highest point of the cheekbone, but instead I'm gonna be getting the pinky one
So turn it to the side slightly
Slightly look straight ahead for me. Look we're just gonna put it right here. Just right here only
Like what? That's insane
It's so bright
Yeah, then we're gonna put some on the other side right here and highest points
It's just so much
So insane
See so you just want to get a little
You don't give it too aggressive. You see how bright that is
Oh, actually guys, let's get some on her forehead too because I really like that look
So let's use this bronzy one here and just stick it right here
So right by where the bronzer region is meeting the highlight region like right in the center. That's really pretty
Okay, guys, so now we're gonna go with setting spray because we're at that point and this is the Charlotte Tilbury airbrush flawless setting spray
Guys, I love this spray. It's like so good
Make sure that we're focused on her face and I'm just gonna spray all the fun is in the way once I'm
Okay
Yeah
Pretty and then guys because we want her makeup to last we're just gonna be using the one size until dawn setting spray
goes for me
Do you feel tiny face? Did you feel it on your face a little bit and it's facial
All right, cool and then we just go in with mascara look up for me and this is the smashbox mascara guys
So this is the final look if you really enjoyed this video
