Hey guys, welcome back to our channel.
Before I get started in today's video,
I felt like I needed to share a couple of disclaimers.
None of this was purchased recently.
Every single thing you're looking at has been accumulated over time and has been
rotated regularly through my pantry.
So this has been many years of me consistently stocking.
One of the biggest ones I have is to store what you eat and eat what you store
only store items that you know your family loves and would eat.
So you're not wasting any food or any of your money.
You'll see, I have a lot of packaged foods.
Our family has a garden and we love fresh fruit and fresh vegetables.
We also love meat, cheeses,
things that you can store in your freezer and your fridge.
But this video is specifically for storing things on your shelf.
You'll also notice I have a lot of things that do not have a very longterm shelf
life, and that's because we do rotate this food regularly.
If you want to purchase things that are just for emergencies only,
I would definitely recommend only getting things that are in number 10 cans or in
other longterm containers.
I have all of this information in a book that I'm going to be sharing with you
guys today that you can download and print out and then you will have
information for all of this.
So I just wanted to say a couple of those things before I got started in today's
video. Hey guys, welcome back to our channel.
Today I'm going to be taking you through a three month supply of every single
thing my family would need if we couldn't like get to the store.
If there was some other emergency that we could only use the things we had.
So I have my,
I created this food storage and emergency preparedness book and I know I've
mentioned it a few times in previous videos, but a lot of actually really,
everything that I talk about today,
there's a breakdown of how you do it yourself in this book.
I will have this book discounted at 40% for anyone that wants to purchase it.
You will get an instant download.
So you can start putting your food storage book together today if you wanted to,
but that's what I will be doing today is just kind of share with you how you
want to get started with your own food storage.
So let me turn this thing around and I'm going to walk you guys through first
all of the meal plans that I have.
So in this book you're going to start with your seven days of food storage and
I have an example right here. So this will be in your printout.
What you're going to want to do is pick seven breakfasts and seven dinners that
your family loves.
They need to be things that you can easily store on a shelf.
That's what I would recommend because I'm just in the emergency.
Maybe there's not power.
We've had a few longterm power outages just in the year 2020 so that's the case.
I want to make sure that I have food that I can just grab off the shelf.
So based off of this idea,
I'm going to show you guys how we have a three month supply of all of these
meals. Okay, we are going to start with our Sunday breakfast.
So for Sunday breakfast we have pancakes and eggs.
That's what's on the menu and for my family we would go through two of those
boxes of Kodiak pancakes and three syrups or else a big jug of syrup or you can
also just store maple extract and then make your own each time,
which is a lot easier to store. But as far as the eggs go,
we have chickens so we just go out and grab the eggs first thing in the morning.
So this would be considered our three month supply of Sunday breakfast,
which would be 12 meals would come from this right here.
Then for dinner I do want to explain a little bit here because this is kind of
like an extravagant dinner. There's a lot to this meal.
This is a poppy seed chicken. Um, when I was getting started,
I started with like chicken noodle soup. I didn't have sides,
I didn't have anything else fancy,
but since I've been doing this for just about five years now, um,
I have definitely added to my meals that I have for emergency.
So for poppy seed chicken, we have 12 cans of this chicken from Costco.
We would need 12 cream of chickens. We have three boxes of Ritz crackers, um,
a number 10 can of rice. We have poppy seeds right here and in place a sour
cream. I have some mayo. So this is how you would make that meal. And again,
this is three months supply having it every single Sunday for my family.
Sunday breakfast and Sunday dinner. And again,
when it comes to meal planning for emergencies,
I'm only feeding my family twice a day.
I don't think it's necessary to have a full blown stockpile of three meals a
day. If you are actually starving, this would be plenty.
Monday breakfast is cereal. This is kind of overwhelming. Okay.
So we have like a bag here.
These are just different kinds of cereals that we like. Um,
this would be a three month supply for our family, um, for Monday breakfast.
And then this is a full, almost six gallons of milk. Uh,
this stores really well. If you get anything in number 10 cans,
they usually store between 10 and 25 years.
So this is the best flavor milk. If you're looking for some shelf safe milk,
morning mew is my favorite and I get this at Walmart. Okay.
And then for dinner that night,
this is taco soup and I just realized I'm missing my black beans and my
tomatoes. So just pretend that those are here, but this is the taco seasoning.
We have beef broth and then this is super cool.
And every time I do videos I get new people that have no idea that this exists.
So I always want to kind of highlight this.
So this is ground beef and it's about two pounds of ground beef. Again,
this is just easy to store on your shelf.
You can see here I have the expiration date for eight 25 and I bought this,
I'm sure I bought these last year. Um, but honestly,
these will last even longer as long as the can is indented and when you open it,
it doesn't spurt. Usually anything in a can, it has an indefinite shelf life.
So just know that. But again, instead of storing this in my freezer,
this way it can sit on the shelf and it will last a long time.
So this is everything that I would need to make taco soup.
We also like to make like Navajo tacos.
And so I have everything I would need to make those and just kind of rip them up
and dip them into the soup. So that would be Monday dinner.
And then Tuesday breakfast is oatmeal and we have tons of different toppings.
We do have a big garden outside and if it's in season,
then we can put fresh fruit on it.
We also love to have cinnamon or brown sugar to sprinkle on the top.
So we have a lot of that as well.
But this giant container from Costco is really good for about a three month
supply for our family for Tuesday breakfast.
And then moving on to Tuesday dinner,
this is our ultimate favorite dinner of all time.
We could probably have this multiple times a week if we had to. Um,
but right here, roasted garlic, Parmesan, ragu,
it is the best thing in the world. Um, and then we have all of our noodles.
So right here again, 12 weeks, three months supply.
And then we also have, this is again, extra stuff. You guys,
if you are just getting started,
don't worry about putting sides and everything to it.
But I have also 12 different packs of muffins.
So that would be a great side.
Then I'm going to come around the back here and do the rest of the week.
So again, right here, we're having pancakes for our Wednesday breakfast.
Um, Wednesday dinner is chili and cornbread.
And then Thursday breakfast is cereal again with some new milk.
And then Thursday dinner is hamburger helper. And again,
using this ground beef with some corn.
And then we have Friday breakfast would be oats again.
So we just kind of alternate if you didn't notice that with breakfast,
we love oats, pancakes and eggs and then cereal.
So that's just kind of what we continue to rotate. And then for dinner,
this is like a really random one, but our kids love top ramen.
So I've just found a way that, you know,
we could incorporate that into our meals.
And then I just have like random things like loaded potatoes, spaghettios.
We have so many different kinds of soups.
So we could just kind of like alternate those things through our food storage.
Um, and then we also have like green beans.
We could throw on the side or other kinds of canned vegetables.
And then for breakfast on Saturday, we have cereal again.
Dinner would be chicken noodle soup with some side like muffins, corn,
something like that.
And then these are just things extra that I love as meal replacements.
And so we always have at least a minimum of three containers of these in our
food storage. I always get those when they are on sale.
Now I'll show you like our personal hygiene and the things that I always keep a
minimum of three in my food storage.
So if I ever notice something gets under that, I always want to make sure,
I don't know why three minimum.
And I'm not even saying that that's a three month supply.
Most of the time that's a lot more than three months supply,
but I just want to make sure I always have three. So starting here,
we have, we have mouthwash, kids, toothpaste, our toothpaste.
We have cotton swabs, three packs of toothbrushes,
three packs of razors, and then a three pack of floss.
And then we have three shampoos and conditioners. We have three kids soaps,
baby soaps, baby lotions, and then body wash.
This is our favorite face wash.
And then I would consider this kind of like our first aid. Again,
I want to have at least three of everything. So we have like kids vitamins.
I have more downstairs. I just didn't grab everything. Um,
multivitamins for us adults, airborne. This is great.
If you feel like you're getting sick,
especially right now with just the sickness is going around. Um,
we have band-aids. This is a ginormous, I mean there's 175 cough drops in here.
So that's from Costco. Um, did I say band-aids?
I don't remember. We have Tylenol, ibuprofen, cough syrup,
baby, like baby Tylenol hand sanitizer.
And then down here we have a lot of our paper products and then cleaning
products as well. So starting, we'll start all the way over here. Um,
paper towel.
I actually realized this was our last thing of paper towel we have in the
garage. So it's a 12 pack of rolls. Um,
this will last us a little bit, definitely not months and months.
So I will need to be going and getting some more of those.
This is exactly a three month supply of toilet paper for us.
So we go through one roll a day. There's 30 in each of these packs. So again,
that's exactly a three month supply. Then we have like disinfectant wipes,
um, three packs of diapers. I,
I feel like those are things along with toilet paper,
especially if you lived through last year, you know how precious this stuff was.
So, and it was really hard to get your hands on.
I will never let that happen again.
So we always make sure we have at least a minimum of three months supply in our
storage. Um, and then we have our Ziploc.
These are gallon bags, three packages of garbage bags.
That's definitely well over three months. There is 200 bags in each of them.
But again, I just have this thing of always having at least three of everything.
Um, waters is huge. We have a lot more water than this.
We have 55 gallon drums,
but I just wanted to remind you because a lot of people forget to store water.
None of this, if there was something wrong with the water,
I couldn't cook any of that without stored water.
So figure out a place to store this because I would actually probably consider if
you are starting from zero,
this should be the very first thing that you store. Um, okay.
Then moving on down here, we have some just like sandwich bags,
tampons, um, then cleaning supplies.
This would be like our laundry detergent, spray and wash, um,
some dryer sheets, toilet cleaner, dish soap.
We have all purpose cleaner here and then some glass cleaner.
And then this is like dish washer detergent.
So we have like big containers.
These were from Costco and this is also dishwasher detergent.
And then some Lysol spray. There's wipes right there.
Another thing you always want to have stored is batteries.
So we have every kind of battery you could imagine.
We always buy these when they are on sale at Costco.
So we got these for like 13 bucks for, for 40 double a,
we have some triple a just showing you like an example of what you want to have.
But, um,
batteries are great to stock up on and then some aluminum foil,
parchment paper. And I think that's everything.
I just remembered, of course, after I'm done animal food,
we always have at least three bags of animal food in our garage.
And so we have a cat, we have dogs, we have chickens.
So we have all of the animals.
We have at least a three month supply minimum at all times.
So if you have animals,
don't forget them because you don't want them going hungry either.
I just wanted to share a little more details on my printable.
So this will help you not only decide your meals for each day,
but also break down how much of each ingredient you're going to need for your
family. It's also very flexible.
So you can decide if you want a three month, six month, one year,
or however much you need.
It also includes memory joggers of other items you may want to store in your
storage along with setting up 72 hour kits and other emergency items you
may want to consider.
