LeToya Luckett’s Skincare and Hair Routine

Welcome. Come right on in. Yes, indeed. Guys, you hear the echo. Okay, brand new, empty home. This is my baby. This is my new start with me and my kids and mom is gonna be here as well. I am over the moon excited for this. This is an emotional moment for me. I designed this house from top to bottom, from every doorknob, light switch, all of that. I worked with a custom builder. I'm so pleased with the way everything turned out. The entryway, as y'all know, I love music. One thing I wanted for sure was a piano in my house. So the entryway is kind of piano keyed, if you will. The piano is here. So it'll be one of my favorite areas in the house to walk in and just see my piano. I also got one of the players on there so you could hear the music as you walk in. I had a piano in my home growing up. So for me, and I knew how to play it. So that's why I felt the piano player was important. So they could like see the keys. I wanted to give them a piano instructor that they could hear the music. I love the large window. I wanted a space with natural light, as many windows as possible. Welcome to my dining area. There'll be a large table here. I love the space because it's a first floor and second floor experience. So that, you know, I can see the kids running in the hallways, you know, hey, did y'all see me? Did you clean your room? I see you. There's gonna be a whole lot of that. And I didn't want something that was humongous. I wanted something that was just right for me and the kids. A place where they can have space, run around. This is the kitchen. The one thing that I love about this space is it has so much character, right? Even though it's super simple, black and white, I wanted to choose a countertop, one that would be easy to clean because I have kiddos. And I know if you get a white counter surface, sometimes things will bleed through. This is precious stone here. So I wanted to make sure that I had something that was super durable. I went with the darker color because one, it's sexy, but two, it's easy to clean. I gotta worry about no stains, okay? I went with gold accents, matte black accents. But to keep it bright in here, I went with white cabinets. This is a wine bar. Y'all don't drink like that. I'm starting to get into wine, but I'm also like, how do I decorate this floating shelf space if I don't have wine bottles? I like, like, this house to be white because I feel like it helps with my energy. I have some raised ceilings. So these are 14, 15 foot ceilings here. And I wanted a lot of lights. And also, I love that it's pretty much an extension of the kitchen as well. So while I'm cooking, the kids can be watching TV, and I can still keep an eye on them. It's not a separate space. This is more of an open concept home where the room's just kind of glued together. So I can just, you know, see somebody that's in the dining room, say what's up in the kitchen, and I can be in the bedroom as well. Everybody does like the cool marble fireplace. I wanted to do like a dark, tired, sexy, just something cool. You know what I mean? And different. This is probably where we'll spend most of our time. Eating and cutting up. Yeah. All right, y'all. Come on into my room. I cut the closet for three car garage. I don't know why. But I do like a spacious, open space because this is where I'll probably spend most of my personal time. So we've got a drawer here. The two nightstands. I want a little sitting area there. Console. Some folding shelves with two chairs. Not a whole lot of room to feel comfortable. And a place where, you know, the kids can come and sit and talk, or it could be a chat space. But I can lay down right here. My fireplace. I love a good fireplace in the bedroom, okay? It's sexy. It's very sexy. Yes. My bathroom. Now, it's missing a few things. It's missing mirrors, it's missing glass. There will be a whole wall of glass here. So I won't be able to stand here the next time you see it. I wanted to put my tub, which they call a wet room. So my tub and my shower are at the same place. I love the waterfall shower. I wanted something classic. I wanted the beautiful marble look. The gold shower fixtures. It's good for washing hair, right? It's good for washing your hair. Hair washing only, yep. My tub. We kept the gold fixtures as well. Don't pay attention to the closet. Don't pay attention to the closet because this is going to look completely different. I'm having all buildings. A shout out to my boy, Reuben. He's coming all the way from Dallas to do my buildings for my closet. This will be my makeup room. So there's going to be a vanity area here, mirror, more buildings. But I'll be in here with my speaker, getting ready at all times. In pajamas. So cool about this concept was the washroom is not far. It's right, you know, when you walk in. I wanted floating shelves. I wanted the clean look. So black countertops, white cabinets. I'll probably do some plants here. Wash and dry in there. But I just want something simple. This is my gym. Right out the door so that I can come in here with the natural sunlight. I can meditate. And it just feels like my own space, far away from everybody else. So I'll be in here sweating and meditating. Okay. This is Marla's room. Kitchenette here. Same refrigerator, microwave. I did some barn doors here so that she could have her privacy, but open up if the kids want to come visit. Refrigerator is here. And her bathroom is in there. But I love that she has her own space in my place. That's super important. The kids love their go-go. Let's go upstairs. I will say, during the construction of this home, I walked through and I wrote my scriptures while they were framing. So it's a scripture pretty much on every wall and every room. I also wrote things, my letters to my kids. So they're in the walls as well. This is just my place of peace. I really built this space for me and my kids and my mom. And you just, it just has a great energy in here. I love this altar. This is pretty cool. You're like, what's that? What's going on up there? So then when you come to visit, this is my guest room. You have your own closet, your own bathroom. The glass isn't here yet, but I love green and gold so much. What do the kids think about it so far? Oh my God, they call it the big house. And I'm like, it's not big, but okay. Are we going to the big house? So this is where we'll watch our movies. The kids will go ham. I'm doing popcorn machine, refrigerator, microwave, all of the teams. So we'll probably live in here too, because I love movies, love movies. So this is the game room space. Although this is probably going to be a nice sitting area because I'm not doing the bachelorette or the, you know, the bachelor, what do you call it? Pool table. Everybody's like, you need a pool table. But if I could fit a small pool table, or like a foosball table, that would be super cute. It'd be like a little cute makeup. Put it in a foosball table overnight so it can feel like a game room. This is my outdoor living space. I love this living space because it's so indoor, outdoor. My courtyard is here. There's also a covered patio space right below us. Yep, this is the backyard space. Complete with water bottles. Like why can't y'all just pick up y'all bottles? Gianna's room! Doesn't have a mattress or anything on it. This is her princess bed. I'm super stoked for this. I love the bed like more than her. Like, and I'm a whole adult. I want this in adult size. Gianna is kind of now falling in love with pink. So I did a wallpaper to match mine because I'm doing the adult version in my room, but she's getting the blush version from Mitchell and Bob. They do a beautiful wallpaper. So it's gonna be a Mommy and Me wallpaper from Mitchell, Gold, and Bob. And I'm super excited about that. I wanted her to have a beautiful princess bed like I always wanted, but it'll be white and blush. Her bathroom, I just did gold fixtures and some modern tiles. All right, so here is big boy Tyson's room. You gotta go in with his face. I love these little sunlights here. His TV will hang right here in the middle. I wanted to go race car for him, cause he loves cars. So I'm thinking about doing like a big black painted stripe. His bathroom is beyond simple. Just has these subway tiles. And I did a blue building, so like his cabinets are blue. And all of his fixtures are black. Yeah, so that's the house. That's the house you've seen before anyone else has. No furniture, just the shell of everything I plan on doing in here. It's going to be a completely different experience once the fixtures get in and the furniture and the people. Wow, I can't believe it's happening and so soon. We are about to make this house our home.
