We Don’t Reseal Our RV Roof 😲 // Low maintenance RV Roof Solution

When we decided to remodel our 1999 Class C RV we knew that we needed to give the roof some TLC. We changed several vent fans and installed new vent covers and then faced the challenge of ensuring our roof was adequately sealed and water tight.

After many hours of research we decided to paint our EPDM RV roof with Henry Tropi-Cool silicone roof coating. This option provided many benefits, such as the significantly lower cost to completely replacing the RV roof, the affordability of Henry Tropi-cool over other DIY silicone options, ease of application, cooler temperatures due to increases solar reflectivity and the ease of cleaning and maintaining the roof.

In this video, we review our 1 year Henry Tropi-Cool roof coating to see how well it has held up and to clean the roof. Using Henry Tropi-Cool for our RV roof made maintenance super simple where we could clean the entire roof in 15 minutes using a tub of water, Dawn dish detergent, a wash cloth and hose.
