How to Install Roof Vent Covers and Vinyl Insert Trim // Class C Camper Remodel

RV roof maintenance is important to protect your investment. And there are all sorts of roof maintenance you should do - from resealing old surfaces to replacing vent covers and even painting the roof.

While the weather was nice we decided to hop back up on the roof to finish a few important tasks to ensure that no water would get in through the roof.

We had to install a roof vent cover that had been giving us some issue and to remove some old lap sealant so we could put a fresh layer of Dicor self-leveling Lap Sealant. While we were doing this we, of course, realized that we had yet another project to do.

So we ripped out the old vinyl trim insert that had become sundried and rotted and found an ingenious way to insert new vinyl trim in the track to protect the screws from water intrusion.
