A July 4th celebration in the heart of the nation fills the streets with performers and a crowd stretching for a mile. Some of those attending tell us what it means to them to celebrate America.

And a group is celebrating freedom of speech and religion on America’s birthday. What’s the story that makes them cherish these values on this land? And what message are they hoping to bring to fellow Americans?

President Joe Biden is facing pushback for a tweet calling on gas stations to lower prices. A major U.S. energy lobby is making fun of the post, and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos also weighs in.

Historian and author of "George Washington Entrepreneurs" John Berlau joins us to reflect on this special day in history and on what our Founders would think of our system of government two and a half centuries later.
