House of the Retro Future Suite HoJos near Disneyland! Shag art too!

The Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel and Water Playground offers us a look at their mid century masterpiece the House of the Retro Future Suite. Inspired by the Monsanto House of the Future designed by M.I.T this suite takes me back to my childhood in the 50's! All the appointments and fun of the House of the Future and reminders of that legendary attraction. General Manager Johnathan Whitehead was instrumental in bringing back the mid-century purity of the architect William L. Pereira's vision of this hotel and theming the suite to the Monsanto attraction at Disneyland.

We also get to interview the artist Shag the preeminent artist and designer who has brough back the mid century style of art and taken it to a whole new level. Shag's art is a centerpiece of the suite. Many thanks to the Visit Anaheim organization for helping us with this segment.
