Oh, I'm gonna fart, oh my God.
Uh-oh, I'm not joking.
We mixed too many spices and too many different things.
Hey guys, welcome back to my channel.
If you guys are new, welcome, my name is Karen
and today I have a very special guest.
This is my good friend, Griselda.
She has been one of my friends for a long time.
We met on YouTube, I mean, we met on Instagram a while,
okay, we'll get into that later,
but we met on Instagram a long time ago.
We've been very good friends and you know what?
We were just in Vegas over the weekend.
We were having a conversation.
About food. About food, literally.
And you guys, we are both so shook
because we are both Latinas,
but she's Guatemalan and I'm Mexican.
And our food, everything is just so different,
yet so alike.
There's a lot of things that she has here
that I'm like, wait, we call that this
and we call that this and this tastes like this
and whatever.
So today we are gonna be doing a food swap.
I'm gonna be trying Guatemalan food,
she's gonna be trying the Mexican food.
You've had Mexican food though, right?
Yeah.
But there is a lot of foods that I haven't tried
and she literally sent me a list and was like,
what have you tried?
And then just check it off and then just send it in
and I'm just gonna get it.
I mean, we're so hungry, you guys.
We have been filming since like three o'clock.
It is now seven o'clock.
By the way, we filmed this look on her channel.
We recreated a very famous novela look.
It is Teresa.
And we created two different looks that she has.
First of all, the first one is her look,
which is very innocent, pretty, sexy, like centrist,
the bombest novela actress ever.
And then I'm the maldita, crazy, psycho villain.
And that's why I have this crazy smokey eye
going on right now.
I'm so bombed though.
Yeah, I'm feeling this look.
So we did this on her channel.
However, it is a Spanish tutorial.
So if you want.
That's the twist.
So if you guys wanna see this on her channel,
I highly recommend doing it.
It's in the link below.
So be sure to check it out.
If you don't understand Spanish, just go to it anyways.
It's so funny because we literally messed up so much
because even though we're both Latinas,
like you guys, we make up crazy words.
Like we just say things like that you guys, I mean.
I literally was like, is that even a word?
Yeah, there was a lot of stuff in there.
And now let's get into the food.
We are so hungry.
Before we get started guys,
be sure to subscribe and like this video.
It helps me out so much.
And yeah, leave a comment down below.
Let me know if you've tried any of these foods.
Let me know what you guys like, what else I should try.
I mean, Sebas is gonna be joining us in a minute.
He's got his Mexico jersey on too.
I have a lot of energy because I'm so freaking hungry.
So I'm just so excited to just like jump into the food.
So let's start.
You wanna give me a plate?
Okay, so I feel, I want her,
I'm gonna go, I'm gonna start with like appetizers.
She's tried a lot of Mexican food.
There was just a few she hasn't.
The only one we weren't able to get was the aguachiles,
unfortunately, or the torta ahogadas.
It's fine, we'll do that next time.
But okay, so it's chorizo and the queso and it's melted.
And then you eat it with the chip.
We had to warm it up and just go with it.
Okay, hold on.
Here, if not, you can just, oh ----.
Thank you, babe.
Okay, so.
You taste the chorizo?
You like chorizo?
Mm-hmm.
She's a bomb.
Mm-hmm.
It's very good.
Now you gotta try that ahogadas.
This is, okay, while you try that,
I mean, while I try that.
I'm so freaking hungry.
This is like-
A tamale?
It's like-
What'd you call it?
A chorizo?
No.
This is a chuchito.
A chuchito.
So this is kind of like an appetizer slash-
A chuchito.
Do you have salsa?
Yeah, it's sour cream.
Oh, okay.
So it's just chicken and salsa.
It's really good.
Mm, it tastes like a tamale.
Yeah.
Is it, does it taste very similar to a tamale?
It just, like, the masa tastes very similar.
Normally, because in tamales, they put like a ton of meat
and then they put, my mom puts like olives and potatoes
and stuff in there.
Oh, yeah.
But it's very, very similar.
What's the soft stuff?
Oh, that's chicken.
That's chicken, yeah.
What is this?
Rajas.
The bomb?
It's your last one?
No, no pica.
I like that it has corn in it,
because I love corn on anything.
But, okay.
What do you think about that one?
But, what is rajas?
No.
It's really good.
It's bomb, right?
So that tastes good with like, you can eat it with tortillas.
Actually, there's some homemade ones right here.
Oh my God.
Did you like the chuchitos?
Here, Sebas.
Because I know you can finish it.
Yeah, I ate it.
I know, I don't eat it.
He wants salsa though, because he's a salsa boy.
Come over here.
Do you want to trade?
Do you want to be in here with us?
Your mom made this?
Yeah.
Her mom made all this food.
What's that sauce on top?
It's so good.
My mom's secret.
No, not the crema.
It's the red.
It's the red sauce.
It's my mom's secret sauce.
I don't know what it is.
It's so good.
It's very, very good.
Tastes like a tamal, though.
Very similar.
But like, with a different taste.
Those are really, really good.
What are these called?
So if I order that at a restaurant?
Chuchitos.
Chuchuchu.
Can I tell you what I like about the chuchitos?
Speak on it.
Don't be camera shy.
You put on your jersey.
Yeah.
Your Mexican jersey.
And you clearly didn't go to the gym today
because you wanted to film us.
I think you're here for the food.
I don't go to the gym.
I film alone all the time.
I think he, look, he just wanted to be in on the food.
Like, he wanted, like, look at him.
He's like, yeah.
These are called enchiladas.
So, I've never seen it.
Enchilada en la tostada con huevo y con beets.
I've never seen that.
So it has, like, it's like a special, like,
salad underneath, which is, like, the red.
It has, like, beets.
It has, like.
Se llama curtido.
It looks like it's repollo con beets.
And then, like, I don't know.
It has, like, a bunch of stuff.
It has beef.
It has onion.
It has egg.
It has cheese.
And then, like, a special salsa over it.
It has a bunch of, it's like a damn salad on here.
Yeah, it's basically a salad.
I'm scared.
Okay, but don't get it on your shirt
because it's gonna, like.
Me manchar?
Te va manchar.
Wait.
Should we get you a bib?
I don't know.
This is, like.
You're just gonna take it.
I've never, this.
I don't know if I like beets this much.
How do you eat this?
Just.
This is a lot of beets.
Mmm.
It's really good.
You can't taste the beet at all.
Why don't you guys just call it tostadas?
It looks like a tostada.
Not as good.
It's good.
It's really good.
Come, Sebastian, and try.
Oh, ----.
You like it?
Mm-hmm.
What does it taste like?
It's very, very good.
Very good.
My god, look at your lips.
Can I just steal one from you?
Yeah, just grab it.
Where?
Yeah.
It tastes beet now, but.
But it's good, right?
It's very, very good.
I'm, like, really shocked
because I'm not a beet fan.
You guys, I had the worst experience with the beet.
I don't wanna talk about it, but.
Okay, so then, while you're eating that,
I'm gonna try the sope that.
Here I go.
Pretty good, huh?
Munch it?
No, no.
No, you're good.
Mm.
I'm going in, guys.
Hopefully it's good.
Fuck, it's hot as ****.
That's the sope, right?
Yeah.
Yeah, it might be a little soggy now, but.
That's very good.
What does it taste like?
I don't know.
What, do you like it?
I'm digging out the beets.
I'm not a fan of the beets,
but I do like everything else.
I don't, I think I don't like the masa.
Okay.
I feel like it's, like, hard-ish, you know?
Let me give it one more try.
It's good.
It's not bad.
The first one that I ever had.
Bad.
It was really bad.
And after that, I was just like,
what does it taste like?
A mierda.
Yeah.
We don't like mierda here.
Let me tell you something, though.
Is it really hard to make these?
It's not that you don't like it
because of what it is.
You're just not into them.
You know why?
Me, I'm Mexican.
I don't really like sopes either.
I don't really like sopes.
Like, I like them,
but, oh my God, I'm so hungry.
Like, I'll have a sope.
Like, no, never.
They seem too dry to me.
So this is mole.
Mole is like a, I don't know if you'll like it.
I love it.
People, like, have, like, a love-hate for it.
It's technically, like, like a chocolate,
like, sweet, like.
It tastes like chocolate-y.
It's like a chocolate-y, sweet kind of, like a.
I don't know how to explain it.
It's very good.
I love this.
I love this with, like.
You gotta, okay.
The thing is you,
and you gotta add, like, rice and beans with this.
You gotta, like, kind of pick it all up on the fork
and eat it together.
That's, like, the best way to have it.
Y con salsa, mejor.
Oh, I don't like beans.
I'm dead, okay.
All right, well, she don't like beans.
Okay, I'll try it.
Those are good beans, though.
Beans, beans, you get for the heart.
The more you eat, the more you fart.
I can do it without the beans.
Oh, boo, you whore.
Boo, you whore.
I'm just not a fan of beans.
I like Guatemalan beans, the black beans.
I'm very offended right now
because beans are the best thing ever.
I mean, I do like beans,
but I just don't like Mexican beans.
Okay, that's really rude.
Pretty good, right, Molly?
Yeah, this is good.
Molly's good.
I'm here for it.
I'm here for that one.
Okay.
So now we're gonna be trying chile rellenos.
This is a Mexican version of a chile relleno,
and this is a Guatemalan version.
So it's on a pirote.
You guys call it, what do you guys call it?
It's a pirujo.
Pirujo.
You guys, a pirujo's a slut, okay?
I brought your pirujo to your house.
With two huevos on there, too.
Actually, this is it.
Two huevos.
It's better than eggs.
Oh, really?
Yeah, and I did it.
So it's like a sandwich, it's like a torta.
I've never had this ever.
I feel like you need salsa with your food.
Like, I always need some type of salsa.
Let's both take a bite.
Oh, but yours is, okay.
Sebastian, just go for it.
This is a lot of bread.
That was a solid bite.
The one thing about Karen.
I'm really weird, guys.
Is she has to rip out the first bite,
like the first bite,
because she thinks it's unnecessary,
and then she'll have a bite.
Do you get what I'm saying?
Like, for example, this.
So, for example, if she would've eaten from that part.
I agree with that.
I have to do this.
Why?
Because it's, like, it doesn't make any sense.
It's kind of like eating the first bread.
Yes, I hate that.
I always take out-
He eats it.
He loves it.
I eat everything.
I don't, and to me, personally, like,
and it doesn't matter if it's a burger, a sandwich.
I will always peel off the very first bite,
but I'll eat everything else.
I'll just, that first bite needs to be, like,
I need to see the food, the juicy.
Is that weird?
Yes.
I think that's why when I was little,
my dad used to cut my sandwiches in half
so I wouldn't, like-
It was, like, in your mind, you needed to-
And to me, it was opposite.
If my mom sees me, that I take anything out,
boom, cachetada.
Okay.
Te come todo.
I'm gonna try it.
And she would always say,
que aquí no hay gatos.
That's my favorite dish.
And it's spicy.
So this is stuffed with cheese, like-
Yeah.
Look at that stuff.
Stuffed with cheese right there.
You can ask Karen.
That's my favorite dish.
Chile rellenos.
This is stuffed with beef, potatoes.
I'm gonna be weird.
Can I have a bite of this one?
You have it.
That's yours.
That one's yours.
I'm gonna take a bite.
Do you want more salsa?
Is this a Guatemalan, like, birote, too?
Like, bolillo, pirujo?
So this is a chile relleno and a pirujo.
So is that what it's called,
or is this just chile rellenos?
Like, when you eat chile rellenos,
you have to eat it with the pirujo.
You don't have to.
Oh, okay.
But that's how we serve it.
Because the bread looks good.
So here we go.
It's like salsa.
How are you gonna get that?
This is fantastic.
Does it have papa?
Mm-hmm.
It has beef, potato, carrots, onion.
This is extremely good.
My mom made all of that from scratch.
Yeah, while she was putting this together,
I was telling them, I was like,
yo, if someone asks me what's better than chile rellenos,
if you stuff them in a pinche torta, this is bomb.
This is bomb.
Imagine a torta had a baby with chile rellenos.
This is a baby.
Honestly, Crisola,
so far, everything's been really good.
The chichitos are my favorite.
Really?
Yeah.
I feel like a lot of people that don't like tamales
and try chichitos, they like, they love.
Really?
Yeah.
There we go.
Okay.
So this is what we call pollo en crema.
It's basically just like-
Arroz con pollo.
But the salsa is made of cream, obviously.
And then just has like a few vegetables on top of it.
Brown rice?
Yeah, it's just regular rice.
But you need to get a little bit of the, like,
the salsa.
Salito?
Yeah.
Do you like it?
I feel like necesito jugo.
That looks very traditional.
Is it?
What?
This?
What is it called again?
Pollo en crema.
Do you like?
It looks amazing.
Okay, so now she's going to be trying chile verde.
Tell me what you think, girl.
Chile verde is so good.
Are you guys chile verde or chile colorado?
I'm verde.
I'll tell you.
Well, I have to try the rojo.
It's really good.
The sauce is really good.
The sauce.
Yeah.
It's like an aromatic, like, flavor.
Then it's very-
Tortillas, you gotta put in a tortilla.
I feel like you have to eat everything.
I'm like shocked not putting salsa on anything
because I usually am like a salsa freak.
Like, I need salsa with everything.
Yeah, Mexicans, con todo, tortilla.
I don't know why.
Like, yeah.
Like, Mexicans eat everything with tortillas and salsas.
Like-
Hasta con la nieve.
When I go to, like, Mexican restaurants,
I always order, like, a bunch of tortillas
because I always like to have tortillas.
And I, like, make them into, like, tacos.
And then he will always tell me, like,
why don't you just order tacos?
And I'm just like-
Yeah, you make everything tacos, yeah.
And Mexican parents, I'm sure Guatemalans as well,
they swear that the tortilla is the most saludable,
would not-
No te engorda.
Nothing.
It's the best.
And you have to eat it or else you're in trouble.
My mom used to always be like,
cómete la tortilla o cómete el pan.
And my grandma, I remember growing up,
my grandma would,
you'd hear her at, like, five in the morning doing this.
Dang.
¿Están baleando?
No, making tortillas.
And she'd have a stack this big of tortillas
she had just made with, like,
and then she had the little cloth over it.
And the minute I woke up, she would grab one,
like a fresh one, roll butter on it, roll it up.
Have you tried con salsita?
Yeah.
No, no, no, no.
With butter?
Just butter.
No, no, I've tried, like, handmade tortillas
with, like, butter.
And then, like, they'll do, like, a spicy little sauce.
And it's so bomb.
That does sound bomb.
My grandma would just put butter on there
to roll it up and then you just eat it.
By, like, noon, I already, like, inhaled, like, 10 of them.
And I'm like, no more, I can't.
I had this when I was younger.
Oh, my God.
This is good.
Try this one.
My mom would get tortillas de harina
and for, like, a snack,
tortillas de harina, las calientan on the stove,
and then half jelly, like, peanut butter and jelly,
but no peanut butter, jelly,
and on the other half, butter
with a little bit of azucar.
Oh, my gosh.
Really? Azucar?
Yeah.
On your tortilla?
Yeah.
This one's really not interesting.
It sounds weird.
You eat chicken waffles?
No.
Yeah.
So, you tried the chile fundido already, right?
Uh-huh.
That was good.
Yeah, that's a favorite.
That tasted very, like, a lot of, what is it?
Chorizo?
Chorizo, yeah.
The flavor.
Yeah.
That is one.
I think, so far, my favorite
has to be that and this.
The chile relleno de las rajas?
And she was doubting those rajas.
She was like-
I looked at it and I was like,
the reason why I was, like, intrigued to try it
was because of the corn.
I love corn.
So, rajas, you can eat just like that?
Yeah.
So good.
But normally, rajas, sometimes there's a topping.
What does that mean?
I know what you're spilling, man.
Are you serious?
Okay, so, now you're gonna try a ceviche.
You've had ceviche, though?
Yeah, I've had ceviche.
This one's bomb.
This one's really, really bomb.
What I like, though, on my ceviche,
you guys call me weird.
I like mayonnaise spreaded on my tostada with ceviche.
Me too.
It's so good.
Wait, you told me about this in Vegas.
It doesn't sound very appetizing.
Do you want mayo?
I want to get mayo.
I put on my tostada this, if we have it,
which is crema mexicana,
and if I don't, then I put sour cream.
I don't know why.
Trust-
Trust me.
It's super good.
I feel like I'm about to have the ******* shits
after this. Oh, for sure.
Pero, Augusto,
you have to, though.
I'm going to be sitting in the toilet, like, go.
Tanto que hemos tragado, we have to.
You?
Girl, I probably want chorro after this.
Yeah.
Okay.
It's so good, I promise you.
I'm not lying to you.
Dale.
I'm not lying.
You're making me nervous for no reason.
Is it good?
I can't even taste the sour cream.
Yeah, see?
So then what's the point of putting it on?
I don't know.
I do it with all my-
when I have a chiles.
I have a chiles where I do that, for sure.
Yeah.
Has there been anything you tried, like,
outside your culture that you were, like, shook?
As far as good?
Mm-mm.
Or just like-
Or as far as different?
Just something that you were like,
oh my God, this is so weird.
Not really.
I'm not that adventurous with my food.
Sebastian's very adventurous with his food.
He's the kind of person that he'll make anything work.
He'll, like, if there's cereal and there's no milk,
he will pour orange juice in there and just make it work.
Gatorade.
I don't understand him.
He does the weirdest things, but you know what?
Since we met, he's put me on some weird ----, too.
There's this weird stuff.
Oh my God, I'm so full.
Oh!
For all the Guatemalans out there,
Chuchitos over everything.
Honestly, really good.
They're my favorite.
Yeah, they're really good.
My whole family, they were DMing me, like,
can you please-
that's probably them.
Can you please save me some?
Yeah.
I drink a lot of water,
but when I'm, like, eating Mexican food,
I honestly need, like, Squirt or, like,
Coke.
Or horchata or jamaica.
I need something.
You can't do water with, like, Mexican food.
Or pizza.
Like, I have to have that.
Pizza, same.
Well, pizza, I need a Coke.
A Coke, yeah.
Pizza and water?
In-N-Out, I need a root beer.
I don't know why.
I don't do root beer.
In-N-Out, I can't do soda.
I'll do a shake.
Dang, that's the ultimate.
That's, like, the fat girl, like, moment.
I'm so full, guys.
I can't even, like, talk anymore.
You guys literally have to watch the video.
It is so funny.
Like, the stuff that we say on there is just,
ser o no ser.
Did you hear me when I screamed it upstairs?
I literally was like, ser o no ser.
So, we are completely done.
I mean, we're not done with the food.
There's a lot left.
I'm gonna save a lot of it
because then we're gonna eat it tomorrow.
But it was nice going through everything,
trying everything out.
It was so good.
And there's still so much that, like, I haven't tried.
Like, you were telling me a bunch of stuff.
She still hasn't tried aguachiles or tortas ahogadas.
That's where we started.
I think the conversation started.
I don't remember.
You know, we were in Vegas.
I just don't remember what exactly happened.
But yes, that's exactly kind of where we're at.
So, yeah, that pretty much concludes this video.
I hope you guys enjoyed watching us eat
and try different stuff and our reactions
and just enjoying bomb food.
So, if you guys loved this video,
please be sure to give it a thumbs up.
Let me know down in the comments down below
what your favorite was, what you wanna try,
what you haven't eaten.

I wanna thank you guys for watching and supporting me.
I love you guys so much.
