Hey everybody, welcome back to my channel.
Today's tutorial is going to be on how I apply my individual lashes.
Now this is something that I love doing on myself, I love doing on clients, I love doing
on my brides, because it adds that oomph to your lashes.
Sometimes we want that really full lash without it looking like we're wearing double stack
iconic lashes.
No shade, because those are my favorite, but we just don't want that look.
Sometimes it just doesn't go with the makeup that we're trying to do.
If you guys love what you are seeing and want to learn how I recreated this individual lashes,
continue watching.
So I'm going to go in first and apply mascara to my real lashes.
I'm going to be using the Maybelline Big Shot Mascara for this, and what I'm going to do
is just start at the root, tug, and then pull up.
I like putting as much product as I can towards the root of the lash.
And then just vertically go up and try to just comb through each and every single lash.
Big shout out to my mom and my dad for blessing me with pretty big lashes, I will always thank
you guys for that.
Always.
Thank you mom and dad.
All right, so I'm going to go ahead and then just do one more coat, and it's very important
that you do really style your natural lashes up.
Anytime I do lashes, I always make sure that my bottom ones are styled as well, so it can
make it look even fuller and darker when everything is put together.
So after you complete your mascara, this is going to be optional for you.
If you don't have a lot of lashes to start with, what you can do is get a wispy lash,
something like the Ardell Wispies, or just anything that looks natural.
You can actually apply that first and then do the lashes on top, but because I feel like
I already have enough natural lash as it is, I'm going to work directly over my real lashes.
I've already applied some Duo on my Hoola bronzer, and I'm letting this dry.
You also want to make sure that your glue is pretty tacky.
Working directly off of wet glue will cause the lashes to slide around, which could get
glue everywhere and become kind of frustrating.
So it's very important that you just let it get kind of like that gum tacky finish, so
when you dip in there, they stick on and they don't move around.
So for these lashes, I'm going to be using my Elegant Lashes and my favorite Flair F7.
Can everyone see that?
There you go.
These are my absolute favorite, favorite individual lashes that I've ever used.
When I used to freelance, this was kind of my go-to in my kit for a lot of brides.
So this is the F7 Flair, and just remember, a lot of lashes have long individuals, but
this one has a different finish.
They have that more flared, kind of feathery look, which is what I like.
And then I'm going to also use the Double Flared Medium, also from Elegant Lashes, to
kind of fill in any gaps in between.
I'm going to go in first and grab one of the lashes.
I'm going to dip it right into my tacky glue, and then from there, I'm just going to place
one right in the center, just like that.
And now I just place one more on the side, and then again, we're going to go and apply
it right to the edge to get that little flirty lash going on, and then we're going to apply
one more and apply it right to the end of the lash.
Just give that little flirt.
And then again, one right towards the front of the eye.
All right, so once you have that on, you want to make sure that you just see if you like
the placement, if that's kind of where you want them to stick, because now you're going
to build those lashes up.
So you're going to grab that lash again and then go directly on top of the one you just
put on.
This is obviously a little more time-consuming, but if you do like the way they look and you
plan on re-wearing them, then that is when I recommend grabbing that wispy lash and then
doing it that way.
All right, and then one more.
Make sure I like the clusters and they are exactly where I want them.
Because I do like a full lash, I'm going to keep on building them until I feel like I
have enough.
So here I'm going to go again directly over what I just did.
And by doing this, you guys, I'm creating clusters of lashes, which is kind of what
I want, because I want a full lash with this look.
And then again, one more of the long.
I'm going to push them to the side, and you see how I'm just creating those, just those
clusters.
Based on your eye shape, if this is a little too long, you can also do a medium or a small
to start.
Trust me, you will fall in love with the long ones.
I'm going to grab one of the medium lashes.
These are pretty much doubled, but I like these to go right in between, just so there's
not like too much random gaps just hanging out in there.
And because these are really subtle, I'm going to apply one more right in the center, just
to pop that just a little more.
And you see how it creates like this, like, just a nice, natural lash.
I mean, it just, I don't know what your guys' term of natural is, but to me, this is natural
compared to like the strips that I use sometimes.
So now I'm going to grab the Big Shot Mascara and finish off my bottom lashes.
And I'm just going to tug again at the root, always the most product at the root.
And I'm going to stop right here, because I don't want to enclose my eye.
I want to keep this area open.
And then now I'm just going to go and apply just a tap of the mascara just to the root.
Coming from a freelance experience, it was very easy to do this on clients, because I
have control of their placement of their eye and them looking down.
If you do find this difficult to do on yourself, practice a few times on a couple friends.
That way you can get a hang of, like, how to place them and how it works.
And if you still find that difficult, what you can do is grab a wispy lash, like an Ardell
Wispy or anything that you find that is natural.
Just remember, the lash needs to be more natural.
And use that as a guide.
So what I mean is, let's pretend this is a wispy, do this, and then just follow the clusters
that the wispy has.
That might be a little easier.
That way you can reuse that lash if you do like the placement of it.
After a while, you will love your natural lashes the way it looks with this look, because
it gives you a very natural feel, because you have your mascara going through there,
but then you have the individuals.
So it's really just ensure people are going to be like, are those real lashes?
I mean, they might think it is.
All right, guys, and this is the final look.
I find this to be something that anybody can incorporate and do in their everyday life.
And just a little bit of practice.
I'm telling you guys, it's like a five-minute technique.
It's really easy to do.
I know a lot of you guys are going to like this look because it requires no liner, and
it just gives you that more natural finish.
So if you guys love this video, please, please, please give me a thumbs up.
